“Picking a shop to work on your car is intimidating for numerous reasons. I've taken my various ars to a few shops around the area over the years, and have settled on Ernie's as my go-to because they are honest, do a good job, and are reasonably priced. It's sadly hard to find a place where you can confidently say that but Ernie's makes me feel comfortable bringing my car to them.
They did a major repair on my truck last year. Their price was very fair. They did have an issue where the part they needed to order didn't come in, and I had to call again to ask about it. They were apologetic which is all you can ask for in that situation. When the part came in, they scheduled me immediately, and I got my car back the same day I dropped it off.
Today I brought my truck in for an issue, they diagnosed it and fixed it on the spot for a only a half hour fee which was a very pleasant surprise to say the least.”

“Took my older Mustang here a couple of weeks ago for an inspection after doing some serious suspension work last year (then stored for the winter) they found slight play in the wheel and guessed it was a loose bolt on the strut. Turns out because they were not factory shocks/bolts/nuts the torque specs were much higher than stock and they were right. Car is back on the road! Appreciate you guys going the extra mile!”

“Whenever a Costco warehouse has a gas station associated with it, it's generally a source of cheap gas - up to 20-30 cents/gallon cheaper than the next cheapest neighborhood alternatives. I've found that this is true when gas prices are stable or rising, but in the current moment when they're dropping quickly (thanks Joe Biden!), you may be able to find better prices elsewhere. So check your Gasbuddy app for prevailing regional prices. Still, this is the one perk that has convinced me to keep a Costco membership even though I have no use for 20-pound heaps of ground beef, 200-packs of batteries, or other daily essentials in prepper-friendly quantities. This station was a quick detour from the Mass Pike on a road trip back east, and even though there was plenty of traffic here, things moved along slowly yet steadily as there are 3 pumps per lane.Talking about which, I didn't notice if there were "lite-brite" signs above the pumps like there are in California, but if there aren't any here, they would be especially useful. Basically, at Costco outlets where there are 3 pumps per line, these signs alert you to an open pump so you can back into it and keep everything utilized at full capacity, minimizing wait times for others behind you. In the Midwest, meanwhile, folks in lines with 2 pumps tend to wait for both cars to pull out before pulling in, 2 at a time, which is not the optimal use of each pump, especially when there's a long wait.”

Most recently, I was preparing for a cross-country trip when my car suddenly started making chirping noises. Despite it being last minute and close to closing time, they took my car in without hesitation. By early the next morning, it was fully repaired and ready to hit the road. I know these small convenient stores charge more than grocery stores but i noticed a lot of these stores run by one of, different ethnic background seem to charge quite a bit more than others. & also depending on whos working @ the time prices always vary ea visit! Charge u what they want ea time! Most stores if total comes to 2.01$ or $2.02, $2.03, they take from penny bowl. No they dont do that. They want u to pay the exact amount! But wont give back when its your change. Ive even had them not give back when change was a nickle! That can add up after a while. Nites I have driven by & their closed already! Or when in store thell say hurry hurry cuz your out of their site! I just dont care for the stinginess & changing prices when they feel like it! They r nice enough there..when u have reg neighborhood loyal costumers. Treat them w some respect! Dont try to get over on them! Makes u not want to go there!!”
