440 Stockbridge Rd, Great BarringtonUPDATE: my boyfriend spoke with vca again and they were extremely apologetic for how my boyfriend was treated over the phone and for not notifying us of our vet leaving the practice. they explained that a very new staff member who had not yet received phone training was who answered the phone the first time and that the information she gave my boyfriend was not accurate at all. they also explained that the reason they hadn't notified us of our vets departure was because he had quit half way through his shift the same day my boyfriend called. my boyfriend and i are very relieved that this was just an unfortunate series of events and not our trusted vet office suddenly turning on us. we even received a card from them recently sending their condolences for our rats passing. we appreciate their honesty and compassion so much as we are still struggling with accepting the passing of our rat. i can't speak for my boyfriend, but my trust in this office has definitely been restored. thank you ♥️
ORIGINAL REVIEW: my boyfriend and i have been going to this vet office since we got our first rat just around a year ago. no complaints until yesterday when our 2 year old rat was rapidly declining and we knew it was time for him to go. my boyfriend called up to see what they recommended, only to be told that the small animal vet there had left the practice. they never emailed us, called us, literally zero notice of this until yesterday. additionally, they were very disrespectful and unprofessional when telling my boyfriend their inhumane method of euthanasia, clearly not trained to treat small animals. this is not at all how you treat a grieving pet owner. not only did we have to bring our rat to an office 2 and a half hours away, but we have to look for a new vet for our other rats. very disappointing considering how great they've been with us prior to this.

284 Main St, Great BarringtonThis place has the best BBQ. I haven't had anything close to it since I moved from Memphis. They do all of their meat on slow cookers on the other side of the sidewalk. It's a tiny place where you walk up to get your order. If you're after great food, not necessarily ambiance, this is the spot!

937 S Main St, Great BarringtonAmazing find. The staff was super friendly and they helped me choose a vegetarian option - the falafel burger and a side of fries. The burger was excellent and the fries were so good! The serving of fries was quite generous too and two or even three people could've have easily shared them. They serve you at the window and you can seat yourself at any of the picnic tables in the lawn behind the kitchen. The views of the hills were amazing in late fall. It was a bit cold and I wish to return on a warmer, sunnier day.

100 Stockbridge Rd, Great BarringtonOh what a wonderful experience! We were road trip weary but hungry! How I wish we hadn’t been planning on napping. We split the Caesar salad and a 3 topping 6 slice pizza. We each ate most of the salad and one slice - with great restraint- then took the rest to the hotel. We ate it all later. How I wished we’d had time for the casseroles! Clearly lots of regulars there, the wait staff knew many of the folks. Most excellent!
