Pet Stores & Supplies

Maggie's Dog House
17 Main St, HinghamI looked at reviews to try to understand how they had less than 5 stars! Wonderful and helpful staff. All the bougie foods I feed my little pony (98# lab!) and they participate i the frequent buyer programs. No shade at all to throw it is a fantastic pet store!

Polkadog Bakery
92 Derby St #127, HinghamMy stepdad and I brought his blind and deaf pug Finnlee to this store, we were able to set up a private shopping session for him since he gets scared around other dogs. Danielle opened the store early for us so Finn could have the store to himself, we all had an amazing experience! She was incredibly respectful of his space and his disabilities, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Pet Grooming

Best Buddy Pet Spa
78R South St, HinghamIt was a truly terrific experience. Pleasant, efficient, professional; felt the staff genuinely liked their customers (4 paws as well as 2 paws!). Kim was fantastic - the cut was perfect, Molly adored her, and her competency was readily apparent.

Hingham Animal Clinic
146 Chief Justice Cushing Hwy, HinghamWe moved to Hingham in 1992 and the Hingham Animal Clinic was recommended to us by neighbors for our yellow lab, Cody. We had an early case of Lyme Disease with him and Dr Waters provided great, caring services for his long life.
Then we had a black lab, Indigo, who also received great care from HAC. Now, most of the Drs have changed, but we did see Dr Waters recently with our 3rd lab, but first female, Sasha.
Today, Sasha had a toe removed due to some skin cancer. We just learned that black dogs have a penchant for developing skin cancer due to their pigment color - who knew?!
Once again, great care for Sasha, lots of patience and explanations for us, and, hopefully, we're on our way to better health! Thanks for your services Hingham Animal Clinic.

Pet Sitting & Training

Shipyard Dog Co
191 Beal St, HinghamWe’ve been bringing our dog here for seven years. Our pooch loves the place and so do we. It’s not only a fantastic doggy daycare, but it’s the only place we trust in the area to do boarding as well. Nicole, one of the managers is a great asset, and the owners who took over a few years ago have consistently invested in their staff and infrastructure.

A Pet’s Life, South Shore
211 Lincoln St, HinghamI’m sharing this so that I can tell you about how wonderful A Pets Life South Shore is.
We started taking our almost 6 month puppy there in March after having a frustrating experience in another. Tobin is an Australian Shepherd/Lab Mix that we rescued from Scituate animal shelter. He’s also deaf.
This means that he can’t respond to verbal cues, and he also cannot take cues from other dogs when he plays too rough which is how dogs usually learn from each ñother.
He has been going to training since the day he came home to us. He is an exceptionally smart dog and really eager to learn and please.
At the previous Day Care, we were going to we found that every day we would pick him up a different staff would tell us something different about Tobin. It became really frustrating because we didn’t know what we should be working on with him and had hoped that they would be working with him a little bit too based on how they present themselves.
When I had finally had enough, I reached out to Colleen at A Pets Life. I brought Tobin in to meet her and some of her team and I can say for Tobin, it was love at first sight. He absolutely loves his days there and comes home happy and exhausted. Every time we pick him up, we can see how much they care about him and how well he is treated. He just spent the first two nights outside of our home using their boarding and he really enjoyed himself. They adapted to his needs and took a ton of stress off of me during a very important weekend away. — with A Pet's Life, South Shore at A Pet's Life, South Shore.
