“We all love our pets and want the best for them,right? Believe me I’ve done my research and you can count on South Hingham Veterinary Services. It’s immaculate, each pet receives their own room for exam/ treatment. Plenty of available parking and easy accessibility. The staff are so friendly, but most important of all, animals are treated with the utmost kindness and professionalism. Everyone is willing to work with each animal as an individual. I highly recommend this veterinary office”

“Dr mertz is great. I've been bringing a variety of animals to him over the last 10+ years. And prices are amazing for the services. I need to call them soon actually to make an appointment for my tortoises to get their nails and beaks trimmed! I've brought chickens here as well.They do take wildlife for rehab. Call first and make sure you go to the correct door for wildlife. It's not the same as the regular vet section.You can also take a tour of the facility. I think it's like 5 for self guided and 10 for a guided one. I always learn something when I'm there”

“Amazing, caring, and professional staff. Our dog had surgery here and it went great. Fearing a large bill but it came out doable!Just an fyi - they don’t have overnight care (we had to take our dog to pet ER down the street) so of surgery required schedule it in the AM with them!”
“I take my hedgehogs here they have an exotics Doctor Kelly who is great & thorough. All 4 of my hedgehogs were just seen & given meds for under like 5hun.One of my females is being treated for a leg injury moon , Anari is being treated for her breathing she was born sick. The doctors will take the time to go over all options with you, depending on whatever is best for your animal. Depending on. What's best for you financially.”
“Bonnie (and Erin) came to examine my 12 year old 120# Yellow Lab Cooper yesterday. I can't say enough good things about their service. Bonnie was recommended by Cooper's former Vet due to the fact it's very difficult and stressful to Coop to get him in the car for a visit to the Vet's office. The exam was very thorough and I felt as if they were caring for their own pet. They cleaned his ears, checked him from head to toe and gave me some solution to help with a growth on his back. Great service and very nice folks!”
“All four of my dogs go to JM Pet Vet for their healthcare needs, and they are great! This review however is about the retail store that is attached to the clinic. My labrador is 10 years old and has been struggling pretty severely with arthritis in her hips. After her laser treatment this week I stopped in at the retail store to look for salmon oil. They have an amazing selection so I was sure they'd have what I needed. The best part though, was meeting a super knowledgeable and helpful animal nutritionist who is on staff! She gave me fabulous advice about supplements for my dog, nutrition advice for helping her to lose some weight, and overall support about ways to help my dog feel better as quickly as possible. Her name is Crystal (the nutritionist, not my dog!), and if you need nutrition advice to help your pet live their longest and happiest lives, you should make a point to go by and speak with her. I'm happy I did!”

“My 14 year old cat had a medical emergency. Not life threatening, yet, but she was sick from infection and dehydrated and weak. They got us in the day that I called, treated her, took care of her, and brought her back to health. I wasn't sure if I was going to bring her home that day, but she is doing well and my family is grateful.They are honest, compassionate and fair.I would highly recommend the Whitman VCA.”

“Been going there for 10 years. Always been very amazing. My only complaint is they still make everyone wear a mask. It's summer 2023 and even hospitals don't require a mask. To be clear, I have no issues with covid policies, but it's a little ridiculous now.”

Staff were friendly, attentive, thorough and clear with all consents, instructions and expectations in regard to all appointments, exams and procedures. Provided all needed medications and answered all questions. Clean environment promoting health safety. My pets tumor was removed in a timely manner with a positive outcome. Services are somewhat costly but everything is these days. Thank you Dr. Donohue and ladies.”

“Until today a visit to the vet was riddled with anxiety for both my dog and I. Both our tech Megan and the veterinarian, Dr. Huffenus were beyond patient with my fearful guy, they even sat on the floor with him! By the end of the visit they were able to complete the wellness check, vaccinations and even drew blood without stressing out my dog or utilizing the muzzle I’ve had to use at previous vets. I was in complete disbelief! consider us lifetime patients.”
“We were referred to this vet by a good friend who’s traveled 30-45 mins to get to West Rox. They were absolutely right for it. My anxious min pin had an amazing visit. The vet techs were immediately kind and knew his name, leaning down to give him scratches. The doctor was amazing. He immediately sat on the ground with our nervous guy and chatted with us. He was so informative and patient. Cannot recommend them highly enough.”

“I absolutely love this vet, and am so surprised to see such a low rating. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences here with both the techs and vets we've seen. Yes, their prices are high, but when it comes to my pet I would rather pay for top notch service than budget for something cheaper. I have called numerous times just with questions about if my dog should be seen and have been told what to do over the phone rather than come in for an appointment. If they really did only care about money, they could've easily advised me to come in and collect. However they truly care about the animals they see. The techs all love my dog and always want to make her feel comfortable (she gets very nervous) and have found their care to be excellent. I would recommend this vet to anyone!”

“Came across this review and had to set the record straight. Found Dr. Haddad, then owner of North Main St Veterinary Clinic, in the early 90's and never looked back. Had been to veterinarians in Canton, Sharon, Stoughton, Randolph and Weymouth, but NMSV was where we stayed for 3 decades, thanks to Dr. Haddad and his very remarkable staff. Dr. Haddad never overcharged, but often, under charged for his services. Always received multi pet discounts and was never discouraged from piggy backing visits to save money and that we did, but more importantly, we received top notch care. He likely wasn't the best businessman, but he was far an away the best and most dedicated and caring veterinarian.A very humble and hard working man, he stayed on after selling to VCN. Through personal and physical issues he worked far past retirement because he cared so deeply. He is a dedicated vet who served out country in the 25th infantry division in Vietnam. Dedicated to caring for military dogs to this day. There aren't enough stars to properly award this outstanding veterinarian and human being. For ever grateful for the care he provided all our loves.”

“Very companionable. I had to put my dog down. Hind legs were so we had to pick her up not to pee herself.5 stars from me. 1/2 the price Floyde Harbor wanted to charge me.
