“I love Big Y!! Yes, it can be a little pricey, but has a great variety of products. Some things I can only find there and no place else, ie the cashew milk I like that has 10gm of protein per cup.My family loves the sushi bar and the hot bar. Good selection of freshly made soups.I dropped something one time and made a royal mess. I felt so bad, but the staff were very kind, cleaned it quickly, and told me "it was no big deal, not to worry".That helped me a lot.I continue going to this store every chance I get.”

“Bring a quarter to use a cart. No need to bring bags inside but leave them in the car. You bring the cart to your csr and then unload the cart into the bags in your trunk. I love that! “We have been to their butcher shop multiple times in the last few months and all of our experiences have been top notch. Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about everything they sell. I asked for help in cooking a prime rib for my family and it was perfect!! I have asked for suggestions on other poultry and pork alike and have not been disappointed. It feels comfortable when you walk in by how u are greeted by staff. They are attentive to their customers by being engaging in conversation about what they are looking for today and how can they help you. We also go to their Deli that serves Boars Head products! They are also very friendly and eager to help you with anything you want. We order ahead as we travel from Hudson to W Boylston to go to S&S ! It's so yummy and my family will continue to shop here. The stores are both bright and clean! I'm impressed! Want to come to the Hudson/Berlin area!! Thank you for such great service and food!!”

“Prices here are pretty reasonable depending on what you buy. Typically the cereal is priced lower here than other grocery stores. They have a wonderful selection of cheeses, even goats milk cheese! You can find delicious dark chocolate items, including peanut butter or almond butter cups. Sometimes they, unfortunately, stop carrying favorite items. That's why only 4 stars. Overall, it's one of my favorite grocery stores.”

“Not a big 'supermarket', but they have the essentials. They have some really good meat & deli products such as marinated meats, deli meats & cheeses, a nice selection of greeting cards, some local merchandise, etc. They also carry a large selection of beer and wines.There's also a full-service Post Office counter in the store, so that's a plus too. It's nice to have a local market, especially one that has a really GREAT owner/operator. Carlos is a very personable and very accommodating local store owner! Just what a small town like Paxton needs.”

“The price is moderate, the green vegetables are not very fresh before buying so choose carefully the vegetables, apples, strawberries, potatoes, oranges, pineapples, chicken at very good prices, snak prices here are very cheap and I bought them. Saved a lot of money buying snacks for my 2 kids. It's inconvenient to get a stroller and have to pay money. Sometimes I don't bring a bag so I can't get the stroller. If you go during the week, you will be able to buy fresh fruits and vegetables, but if you go on Sunday, there is almost no fresh food”

“Well, where do we start? Downtown Worcester has had a decreasing number of options for grocery shopping. This is true especially for those with limited budget. There is one good steadfast exception however, and that is Gala Foods. This is a nice little market that ticks many boxes. It's proximity to both Downtown as well as other peripheral neighborhoods. It's also very affordable and offers many options for a range of shoppers. The fresh food section is excellent and has options you won't find in those main stream stores that aren't so close by. This makes Gala a win for Worcester and it's diverse residents.”
