“I shopped yesterday for the first time in their Falmouth store. Very impressed. I only bought a couple items, (was only down for a weekend trip) but easily saved three dollars at least.
Wish I could have used cash to purchase my items, but can understand why the cc saves them money.
When I returned home I looked for the Aldi's near me. I will for sure be a regular shopper there.”
“Great prices and surprisingly fast check out even when it looks busy. You need a quarter for a shopping cart and they don’t provide bags but it’s well worth it because it keeps their prices very low.”
“Gala Foods Supermarket in Worcester is one of those rare places that restores your faith in what a grocery store — and a community — can be. Everything looks fresh, tastes vibrant, and is priced so fairly that you can shop with both joy and peace of mind.
My favorite part of Gala Foods has always been the deli — truly one of the best in all of Worcester (and I say that as a former deli worker!). Their sandwiches are made with love and precision, bursting with flavor and generosity.
I especially want to recognize Alfred, one of the deli staff members, who consistently went above and beyond. His kindness, humor, and genuine attentiveness turned an ordinary lunch stop into something special. He treated us not just like customers, but like guests, and you could tell he takes pride in making food that touches people’s hearts.
What stands out most about Gala Foods is the culture of care that shines through every person there. The whole team radiates friendliness and sincerity — it’s clear that leadership has created an environment where people love what they do and love who they work with. That kind of joy can’t be faked; it’s felt in every smile and every fresh, delicious bite.
The selection of Latin American foods is also outstanding — diverse, authentic, and beautifully presented. You can feel the pride and cultural richness that Gala Foods brings to the community.
Every time I left Gala Foods, I felt nourished not only in body but in spirit. I’m so grateful this place exists — it’s a true gem in Worcester and a reflection of everything good about food, people, and community.

“Great food, great service. Owners are very helpful and I enjoy bumping I to the neighborhood street cat that pops into the store every now and then. They feed the cat so I'm all in ❤️”
“We came to the plaza for harbor freight but, I couldn't help but come here as well with my gf. Definitely a gem but could be upgraded to be better but, worth the trip. I bought Lay's chips of two different varieties at $2.49 a piece which F.Y.E at the mall charges $9.99 for the same bags. Also Boba Mattcha tea in a can ready to drink which is a favorite.”

“Great store, mostly busy. If you are in a rush you can find pre-made food in their hot area, chicken parm, eggplant parm, rotisserie chicken, rice bowls, roasted turkey breast. Best time to get those items are at noon or 4pm.
You will also find ethnic foods and produce.”
“I find the concept of Hispanic "bodegas" on the northeast coast of the United States interesting. These stores resemble the pulperías or colmadones in the interior of the Dominican Republic. They are places where you can find everything you need and often something more. In addition, they stand out for the close and familiar treatment of those who serve, who call each customer who visits their establishment "cousin" or "cousin."
Eddie Super Plaza perfectly reflects this concept, offering not only products, but also a unique experience that combines warmth and community. For this reason, I consider it to be a true "five-star winery."”
“I’m so happy this place opened up. With the gentrification happening in the city, I’m glad to see a corner store with real Brazilian products and food absolutely jam packed into a store. THIS is Worcester, and I feel home again in my city. Please give them business and keep them open!

“Their pupusas are the best in town. You can even eat it without the salsa or salad that they give you. My favorite is Frijo con queso. Ps for the food you have to pay cash, everything else card. They do have an ATM inside. Parking can be a pain at times.”

“I just went to go pick up a cake at Price chopper this evening and there wasn’t much options unfortunately because I came around 7:30 at night and the bakery was closed, but as I was coming to close out my purchases, Jacob H was very clear and precise the way he was helping me with my transaction you would think after 20 something years of checking out. I would have it down by now, but I don’t and he was very patient. I see why they have him upfront!”

“Price Chopper is my preferred local grocery store, and this one is both large and open 24 hours! I find their prices to be the best around, particularly when combined with the weekly specials and coupons. Make sure to sign up for a rewards card, as along with saving you a fair bit it will also earn you money off a gas fill-up at area Sunocos. Only downside is the regular lack of open checkout lines, even during prime shopping hours. However the small occasional wait is well worth the other pros.”
“Great remodel, wonderful early opening. Checkout poor because they only had express line open for under 20 items. I had to self scan my full week grocery myself. Not a fan of self checkout on groceries. I already put it in the cart, take it out to just load in car and remove again. I put it away and then someone expects me to cook it. I shouldn't have to scan it too for escalating prices!!”
“Produce selection could use some help other then that Good customer service . Clean and prices are average and could be a little better . Deli is above average . Happy Mother's Day”
“The store is clean, and I enjoy their store fried haddock and cod.
The store made meals are delicious too, especially the raviolis.
I wanted to add, I tried the store made veggie lo mein and egg roll ready meal. Delicious!
