“It's fun to go to Aldi. The prices are better than other stores, although the selection is a little less than the huge grocery stores. I like the pizzas, cereals, coffee, and especially the seedtastic thin sliced bread!!”
“Gala Foods Supermarket in Worcester is one of those rare places that restores your faith in what a grocery store — and a community — can be. Every visit feels refreshing, abundant, and full of warmth. The energy here is bright yet gentle: colorful aisles, inviting lighting, and signage that feels caring rather than loud. Everything looks fresh, tastes vibrant, and is priced so fairly that you can shop with both joy and peace of mind.
My favorite part of Gala Foods has always been the deli — truly one of the best in all of Worcester (and I say that as a former deli worker!). Their sandwiches are made with love and precision, bursting with flavor and generosity.
I especially want to recognize Alfred, one of the deli staff members, who consistently went above and beyond. His kindness, humor, and genuine attentiveness turned an ordinary lunch stop into something special. He treated us not just like customers, but like guests, and you could tell he takes pride in making food that touches people’s hearts.
What stands out most about Gala Foods is the culture of care that shines through every person there. The whole team radiates friendliness and sincerity — it’s clear that leadership has created an environment where people love what they do and love who they work with. That kind of joy can’t be faked; it’s felt in every smile and every fresh, delicious bite.
The selection of Latin American foods is also outstanding — diverse, authentic, and beautifully presented. You can feel the pride and cultural richness that Gala Foods brings to the community.
Every time I left Gala Foods, I felt nourished not only in body but in spirit. I’m so grateful this place exists — it’s a true gem in Worcester and a reflection of everything good about food, people, and community.
If I could give more stars, I would.”
“Since they have gone to bagging the veggies (3 peppers per bag), etc, I'm not as happy. Veggies/ fruits don't seem as fresh as before and it is so much nicer to pick the veggie/fruit you want. What about all the extra plastic that is producing and wasting on the environment??”
“there are several things that I want to talk about but mainly I will focus on the cleaning topic which is important this store is stunning
and the employees with such a nice warm welcome and great behavior doing their best to give us the great service once again as an Afghan I can find everything I want in this store I will recommend my friends to come and get everything at the low price then other places
i can’t wait for them to open the food truck
AFGHANI BURGER

“The perfect place to get those ingredients only found at your country for that home dish you want to taste once more away from home.Staff is very friendly and helpful. They always help you in every possible way. Recommended.”
“This very nice store is just off Rt 12 and I-190. The store was clean and very well stocked. Inspite of there being a decent number of cars in the lot the store didn't look crowded. The pharmacist went above and beyond checking if they carried the health drink I was looking for but also if she could order it as they didn't have it. This store is better , more clearly, marked than my normal store on prices and sales.”
“We came to the plaza for harbor freight but, I couldn't help but come here as well with my gf. Definitely a gem but could be upgraded to be better but, worth the trip. I bought Lay's chips of two different varieties at $2.49 a piece which F.Y.E at the mall charges $9.99 for the same bags. Also Boba Mattcha tea in a can ready to drink which is a favorite.”
“Here, folks do their jobs, they're on top of everything. Plenty of different items. If you need to grab a quick bite. They got a nice little station on the side where you can sit down and eat food is good and
A bunch of other little items they sell.I truly do like this location.”
“The household essentials section here is organized much better than at most nearby grocery stores. Cleaning products, paper goods, and everyday supplies are easy to locate, shelves stay stocked consistently, and the layout makes shopping much more convenient overall. We’ve started shopping here more often because routine household trips feel quicker and less frustrating.”
“Their pupusas are the best in town. You can even eat it without the salsa or salad that they give you. My favorite is Frijo con queso. Ps for the food you have to pay cash, everything else card. They do have an ATM inside. Parking can be a pain at times.”
“Minas Market has excellent service. I was very well looked after by the people who work there; they are friendly and helpful. I recommend everyone to try all their products, especially their own, as they are of excellent quality.”
“This classic Worcester store got a facelift. The layout has changed but I think it will be easy to find everything once I visit a few times. The bread is in the corner near the dairy and the baking aisle is past the frozen. There were lots of staff available to help me find things. The walls have murals (?) and they now use fancy tall vase like containers for end cap displays. The floral section seems bigger, and the door in the middle is now gone. The parking lot is long and hasn’t changed. I didn’t visit the bathrooms on this trip. And I left not finding the croutons. Right now everything is on sale; so many BOGOs. I will be back to take more advantage of the sales. I liked the large selection of Goya products.”
“Great food, great service. Owners are very helpful and I enjoy bumping I to the neighborhood street cat that pops into the store every now and then. They feed the cat so I'm all in ❤️”
“Went into price chopper today to pick up a few items, the produce employee greeted me and asked if I needed help. He was stocking produce and wished me a good day and reminded me if i had any question he would be around.
Deli employee was nice and eager to help also.
The store was clean, in order and stocked well.
I spoke to the manager who also wished me a good day after we spoke for a short time.
Will definately return.”
“I find the concept of Hispanic "bodegas" on the northeast coast of the United States interesting. These stores resemble the pulperías or colmadones in the interior of the Dominican Republic. They are places where you can find everything you need and often something more. In addition, they stand out for the close and familiar treatment of those who serve, who call each customer who visits their establishment "cousin" or "cousin."
Eddie Super Plaza perfectly reflects this concept, offering not only products, but also a unique experience that combines warmth and community. For this reason, I consider it to be a true "five-star winery."”

“The store is clean, and I enjoy their store fried haddock and cod.
The store made meals are delicious too, especially the raviolis.
I wanted to add, I tried the store made veggie lo mein and egg roll ready meal. Delicious!
I will include the cashiers, people in the store have consistently been polite and helpful!”
“I love the fresh produce. Well stocked all the time. Very good meat selection. Love their fresh specialty breads and fine cheese selection. Grateful for their seafood selection and free lobster steaming.”
