“Not to be dramatic but, the Y has changed my life. Being a SAHM can be lonely and hard and I’m feeling the best I ever have (even pre kids) now that I’m regularly at the Y. Every single person is so sweet and ready to jump in and help with a smile. The child watch is a game changer and the main reason I joined in the first place. Every teacher is a saint and an absolute joy. My girls love them and enjoy going to the gym “with” me. I get time for a good workout and relax and take my time before grabbing them and finishing our day. I can honestly say I’m in a better place thanks to the people here at Hockomock Area YMCA. They even have a huge rig outside where I picture them having all kinds of fun events during the warmer months. Easy to get to, tons of parking, it was perfect. “Pretty nice gym. Wish the hours of operation were a little better. I work a strange schedule and stinks that I can’t use the gym later on some days. Also wish they had more classes earlier in the morning/later in the evenings. Seems they typically only offer 9:30am or later and only go until 5:30 or so.”

“HANDS DOWN TO THE BEST TRAINING FACILITY !! My brother (soccer player/ 13 years old) started training there about 2 months ago. We have noticed a TREMENDOUS improvement on his speed and strength. He has been able to do his soccer practices without feeling out breath . I have noticed that during his soccer practices he is now one of the fastest on the team when they are doing sprints (**before ABT he would be in last place). In addition, we noticed that ever since he started training at At ABT he hasn't had an injury playing soccer. We wish we knew about this facility sooner.”

New Year resolution that actually worked!In January of 2023, I was in tears because I realized my health was in terrible shape ( obese, no energy, body pain, sleep problems). I emailed NRG and Laura Cunniff emailed me back the same day and met with me. She assured me that NRG would support my goals and help, she assured me that I would never feel bullied or unsupported. I signed up and got some personal coaching sections with Laura, who motivated me. I also met my goal of attending weekly classes and I love all the instructors. I feel safe and happy and supported whenever I go to either the gym in Milford or Franklin. I might not have lost tons of lbs, but I sleep better, have more energy and have many other benefits. “I'm new to CrossFit and my experience here has been incredibly positive. The environment is so encouraging, thanks to both the coaches and the other students. The class format is great -- an hour seems to go by so quickly (though my muscles might disagree with me on that)! As a newbie, Coach Damon takes the time to show me the movements and makes sure I'm comfortable doing them on my own. The music is also super energizing and fun. Firewall Fitness has really helped me rediscover my love for strength training. Highly recommend!”
