“I've been a Jamaica Plain resident for two years, and sadly I will be moving elsewhere in Boston in just a few weeks. Upon reflection of my time here, Camilo Market has been my favorite business in my neighborhood. Beer and wine selections are plentiful (so are the spirits, but I usually buy the aforementioned more frequently.) The staff is friendly, hospitable and always willing to lend a helping hand (no literally--I'm 5 feet tall so I always get a hand when I can't reach the high stuff--thanks y'all!) So, Camilo Market and Liquor store, I will miss being in walking distance from you the most. But this is just a toodooloo, not a goodbye.”
“Super-knowledgeable staff with personal details and stories to add to the wines. Great music playing, and vinyl and a turntable on hand. I was looking for a relatively obscure grape--Tannat--and they had a very solid bottling of it from a small vineyard in the US. Very good experience!”
“I have visited three times. First time, got a hew groceries with my partner and discovered the amazing deal on eggs. The tres leches was eh, a bit too dry. Second time, I went after work to get dinner. Got me a large plate with black rice, yellow plantains, yuka, oxtail, and two empanadas. That plate lasted me til the next day and the workers were great about getting someone to read me the options and help me navigate the store as I am blind. Third time, my family were in town and I suggested we go to Happy for food. Got an assortment and everyone enjoyed. A woman that remembered me from my second visit said hi. I definitely feel the community and love the selection and prices on certain items. I will certainly be returning for my carton of eggs and prepared food for when cooking just ain't it”

“Stopped off the rail system to ask for directions to Sam Adams and an employee walked us all the way there. If this is the kind of service you get when you don't spend a dollar, I can imagine how great they are to paying customers. Thanks Javier!”
