Their pricing was higher than some competitors, but the difference was justified. The build includes a tune, comes with a solid warranty, and most importantly reflects the experience and quality control they bring to the table. In my opinion, that matters more than saving a few dollars upfront on something as critical as a transmission.
I picked the truck up on February 26th, and the difference is immediately noticeable. Shift points are crisp and controlled, no hesitation or flare between gears, no delayed engagement, and no harsh clunking under load. Power delivery feels consistent and responsive. It drives tight and refined — the way a properly built and calibrated transmission should.
Another detail that impressed me: prior to bringing the truck in, I had an exhaust rattle that I knew was likely caused by a loose clamp. I never mentioned it. They identified and corrected it during their inspection. That tells me they’re not just swapping parts — they’re thoroughly checking the vehicle and paying attention to overall drivability and quality.
It’s still early, and I’ll update after putting more miles on it, but first impressions are excellent. If you’re looking for a shop that understands transmissions at a technical level and stands behind their work, this is one I’d confidently recommend to friends and family.

They have never tried to take advantage of me/my wallet, they have never recommended work that wasn't required, and they always explain what needs to be done and the different options available - both the minimum so as to not break the bank, and what they recommend to take care of the issue long term. “I called to get an inspection at about 4pm, mind you they close at 430. 2 days left in the month, the owner answered, says there were probably 5 cars ahead of me. I said ok, I'll come tomorrow, he said to come down and see where we're at. I live about 6 minutes from there, if that. I showed up, walked in, he said inspection? I said yes, he said have a seat. Probably waited about 20-25 minutes. 3 more people called while I was there, he told them to come on down as well! That's customer service!”
