“Love this store! Kathy is so invested in the community. We don't see half the stuff she does, from supporting equity in the arts to local farms- it's evident the store has been a labor of love from the moment she took over. Looking forward to seeing where she takes it next!”
“Love the fresh, organic selection of fruits and vegetables... but the People who work there are so pleasant and helpful that even if the food wasn't superb, it would be worth shopping there. Some items are a little more expensive but some are better priced than other places. The convenience and freshness make it worthwhile along with the great atmosphere and wonderful People who are so helpful. Love this Co-op. Can't wait for the expansion after the move to the larger location. Definitely a place to ship at!”
“We stopped there for the very first time yesterday. Even though we have driven by it for years! We got pastry and coffee and checked the store out. what we bought was excellent. The store seems to have a great variety of deli foods sandwiches, etc. And their butcher counter was amazing. The staff at the butcher counter and at the cash register were extremely nice and extremely pleasant. Will definitely be going back. Oh by the way, the pastries were presented in hard, clear plastic containers, it made it so easy to eat during our drive, as opposed to some places that wrap it in plastic wrap that you can never get open and the crumbs, get all over!”
“Lots of parking, the deli is amazing, expensive but the staff and selection is on point 100%!Update they have a very small selection of Goya products, they are also carrying sofrito in a can it's not bad at all if you're in a pinch. New pos equipment recently installed. Support local it makes a difference.”
“MGM of Whately has excellent breakfast sandwiches (highly recommend the Diesel delight), great selection of Boarhead's meats, and there is a great selection of local products and alcoholic beverages as well. Staff members are friendly too. I plan to come back again, and I think I'll have to bring my grandma next time. She loves general markets/local family owned businesses!”
“The coop is my home away from home! Hidden gem in a beautiful area for swimming, hiking, biking and being?️. Must try: the fresh chocolate oat bars ✨. I used to walk miles to get them as a kid. Some things don't change ?”
“i just wanted to leave a review to highlight the act of kindness that mark in the meat department did for me. i work at the salon next door and have been going through a very tough time and had an especially bad day and left work crying. i came out to my car with a note on it from mark saying that he filled my tire because it was really low. i’ve known that it was low for a few days now, i just didn’t have the time or energy to fill it with everything going on in life. i wanted to thank him because that act of kindness meant so much to me on a day like today. big y is so lucky to have such a kind person working for them”
“It's a relatively new store in town and my first visit there. They have a variety of goods and some foods, mostly quick fix kinds of things no produce and limited dairy products. Definitely a no frills experience but that's expected for the type of store that it is. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I didn't get her name but the young woman that greeted us as we entered was very courteous and had smile on her face. It implied that she is happy with her job that's always a big plus for me, I like to see happy people. I will return as needed for some items I find hard to get at other stores. Hopefully this helps people decide if they want to stop by or not.”
“I just want to give a huge shout out to the tire department they went above and beyond they were understaffed to begin with but they did an exceptional job the nice woman who installed them and they were not easy either and the manager went above and beyond they actually gave me money back because it took little longer than expected on top of the tires were already a great deal this is by far the best BJ's ive been to”
“Billy was very helpful of my needs over the phone, after work I 4got the 1 guys name & he too was helpful & they’re both nice to me. They’re both Very understanding of I need high mileage & affordable. Because I drive a lot & especially weekends I drive to Boston & back.Billy recommended Nexen tires & it’s buy 3 & get 1 free.By far the cheapest, I ever heard over the phone $469 include tax’s & labor. Others places are like $600 & up!I recommend BJ’s get your tires cheap & good quality tires!”
“We have shopped here for over 40 years. It is to bad this store is closing. They are taking out the lottery first. The staff said they are going to close down slowly. We really hate to see them close. Someone said with Aldi coming they will loose customers. I can say this store location was only painted about 20 years ago and has not been truly remodeled from the time it had opened at this location 30 years ago.”
“Do NOT go to the one by Big Y. Go to the federal st store. The one by Big Y rips you off. 5 out of 10 items will ring up wrong. Then you have to wait while they go verify the correct price. It is no exaggeration it's THAT bad. They do not update the prices on the racks so you never know what your really paying. If you go there PAY ATTENTION to what your paying for your items. Guarantee items will ring up more expensive.”
“What a gem! They stock the usual supermarket products as well as a fantastic assortment of interesting, trendy and unique items not just from big brands. I visit the area from Philadelphia periodically and always stock up on Mrs Fannings Bread & Butter pickles which I can’t find anywhere else!”
