“Matt, Steve, and the Team took great care of me in a 24 hour notice recently. Matt, who is very knowledgeable, and hard working, diagnosed my vehicle and provided me with accurate details on items that needed repair that I was slightly aware of.
Steve ensured I had a rental to take care of personal matters on the next business day while double checking my transmission after all the repairs were completed as I was told that I would need a new one within the last year. Steve, the owner, has been in business for 40 years and very competitively priced, particularly for the Newton area. Highly recommend!!!!”

“I have been going here for years and I can't imagine going anywhere else. When I moved away from Newton, I was legitimately terrified of trying to find anywhere that was even half as good as these guys. Sam and Scott are easily two of the most pleasant people I have ever interacted with. They're knowledgeable and truly want to help their clients - not screw them over financially.
They'll tell you what's going on with your car and explain what your options are - explaining the purposes and reasoning. And unlike some garages, they'll tell you when work isn't necessary or when it can be put off - because they are good people.
When my car reached the end of its lifespan and it was time for a new one, I called up Sam, who goes to auctions often for their used car inventory, told him my budget and what I was hoping to find right down to the color (black cars mean better car cookies in the summer). He found one that matched the description perfectly, within the price window, and within a week I was trading in my old car and purchasing the car I have now, which I absolutely adore.
They're professional, honest, hard working and they get to know each person. I cannot speak highly enough about these guys, but I can say for certain if you're looking for a place that will treat you like a person who matters (regardless of car knowledge) and provide exceptional service - look no further. “We all rely heavily on our cars. No car ~ and our lives, (as we knew it), come to a panicked standstill. Two questions: Who can help me the quickest? (and) Are they going to charge me twice what the job is worth? My suggestion is: When, by reading reviews or a personal reference, you get the name of a good mechanic or shop, go there, tell them, "I was told that I can trust you". As a customer, show them trust, respect, and loyalty. If you found the "Right one", soon you'll be thinking, "I'm driving to my friend, to get my car repaired at a fair price". I've been driving for about 50 years. When the mechanic was an employee, I gave him a cash tip. The owner, gift cards, loyalty, friendship. I've seen guys drop their tools to come help me. (They do it ~ because of how I've treated them first.) I've had a number of different people fix my cars & trucks, and they were all friends.”
“Pleasant car care did a great job in addressing a couple of significant issues, and addressing them in a timely fashion, and in a very professional but understandable way. I got approved for an inspection sticker, which was the reason for the original appt. Staff was friendly, informative and acty took me on a visual tour of what the concerning problems were. The cost seemed manageable, and the 3 year warranty was great. The only issue was that the time committment was a little longer than I thought when sceduling. No big deal, I will definitely schedule more appts as needed with Pleasant!”

“I do all of my own maintenance with some rare exceptions, and I'm very picky about where I take my vehicles. I had a great experience here, though. Had new tires delivered, put on, and an alignment done.
No issues at all, and actually one of the mechanics pointed out that I had a slightly bent wheel... which is extremely valuable insight.

“Arthur did a great job repairing a nasty ding and dent on my brand new car from an idiot who opened their doors carelessly in a parking lot. While he does not do paint chips, he was able to bang out the dent and buff out scratches so that it’s way less painful to look at. He recommended that I do the touch up paint myself and ensured me it will be an easy DIY job. I will definitely give him a call if this happens again.”

We got in on a four tires for the price of three deal. Theresa, the receptionist extraordinaire, was phenomenal. She really carries the weight of this place with style & grace. It's not as easy job, but she handles it by extending respect and kindness, which makes all the difference in the world! Sullivan is SO lucky to have her! The one thing that was kind of petty, was that one of our tires was missing a lugnut ($9) and they called us mid-process to get the ok on replacing it, which when you're spending $800 seems kind of ridiculous not to just give it on a complimentary basis, but other than this, we highly recommend this particular location of Sullivan, since not all are created equal. A special shoutout to Ozzy for his time & efforts to help us. Happy holidays to you all!”
