“I have had my Honda CRV serviced several times at Lia Honda. Recently, I had a large screw stuck in my tire causing it to lose air. I drove in to Lia without an appointment realizing that they might not be able to fit me in. But within an hour or so, it was all fixed and ready to go. What I appreciate most is how friendly and considerate everyone at Lia repair is. They take as much time as needed to explain everything to you. It is refreshing to go to a business where the customer feels important and valued!”

“I currently live in NC. Previously I lived 60+ years of my life in MA. 2 years ago, I had one of my 2 Toyotas, an MR2, towed to Toad's Kin with the hope of resurrecting its 2.2l engine, which had been neglected for over 2 years, for reasons beyond my control. Bob managed to make it run, but, alas, it didn't hold up. At least he tried. Rad located another 2.2, while offering advice and comforting conversation. Most car mechanics in my experience don't offer such a thorough experience, usually leaving the counseling to the therapists. Bob, in addition to the replacement motor, was incredibly thorough, also: he replaced the timing belt, water pump, clutch, release bearing, oil, filter, air filter and a host of other small parts, adjustments etc. I then drove the car to NC, and haven't had any issues at all in the 2 years since. I also brought my 2nd vehicle, a 2000 Toyota Tundra to him that same year (2020). It needed front axles and some other work, which was completed promptly and thoroughly, and I am now driving it daily in NC. I visited MA in 8/2022, and, since I have heretofore not been able to find a mechanic I can trust in NC, I thought that, before I was to return to NC, I would drop in and see Bob (I had just heard of Rad's unfortunate passing) at Toad's Kin. While visiting, I asked him, I at first thought facetiously, how soon he could do a timing belt. It was Monday. His reply: "How about Wednesday?" Which floored me, to be honest. He did the work, of course, and I'm so gad he did. He found bearings that should have been replaced the previous time the job was done, and was again extremely thorough. And my truck (which has 340,000 miles) now gets 18 mpg (it previously got less than 12). Thank you, Bob; you're a savior! I'll be back!Services: Auto engine diagnostic”

He checked both front and rear brakes, cleaned and lubed the rear brakes, and replaced the front brakes, pads, caliper, rotors turned, flush and refill for $300 less than the cheapest place around. “On one of the worst days to deliver to Northhampton AND get a flat tire (it rained all day), the crew at this location took care of me and my truck. They went over my options for a new tire, and upon informing them that I just need the cheapest option to get me home, they inspected the tire without hesitation to see if it can be salvaged. Other places would've looked at the tire being off the rim as not being able to be salvaged. But they did their due diligence and saw that it was repairable (I had two nails). Instead of costing me almost $200 & up I spent $35. They made my day brighter when I was totally soaked and desperately trying to get home nearly two hours away. I highly recommend going to them for your tire repair needs!”

“We live around the corner from Northampton Tire. When we lost our cat I went into Northampton Tire and found her asleep in a tire display. Russ and the crew had taken her in, fed her, got her a litter box and taken her to the vet to see if she had a chip in her to identify her owner. They'd found her wandering on King St. and wanted her to be safe.I am updating this review to say that we had a problem with the traction control/ABS brakes on our Honda and Lia Honda of both Enfield and Northampton, Hyannis Honda and Balise Honda all tried to fix it and couldn't. They all charged us money but the problem never went away. Northampton Tire took one crack at it and it was fixed. We paid over $1000 to dealers who failed to fix the problem.After 10 years of great honest service I wouldn't go elsewhere.”

“As with any quick lube place, I recommend parking and waiting just before they open. I was there for no longer than 45 mins to get an oil change and state inspection. Coffee and chairs are available in waiting room. Staff friendly and prices are fair. Walking distance from Northampton proper and there is also a bowling alley with small arcade down the block. I can easily recommend this quick lube and will be using them regularly!”

I was concerned the sale might not be honored, as I was having the work performed in November. Aimee went over the quote I was given and confirmed all of the details. When it came time to drop my car off I could tell the shop was just about ready to close, but Aimee greeted me professionally, broke away from what she was doing, and proceeded to do the paperwork for my car.
