“Took my daughter's Kia Soul here the other day. The flange behind the converter was rusted and falling apart. Other muffler shops wanted over $1000 for a complete exhaust system. Ron got us in, cut the flange out, sleaved the pipes, and welded them both together. The job was done in 45 minutes and was under $200. “I was fixing my car. When I needed some sensors. Went to advance auto they gave me bummed sensors. Not only one I had to get 3. Went to auto zone same thing 3 bummed sensors Can't return them so I was out $ 329.00 so I was told to go to the dealer. The dealer they want way to much. To do anything. So I looked up other places I can go to get the sensors that I needed and hawkes had what I needed and yes they worked car is running grate. And paid less.. For all my parts I need for any car I fix I'll be going to. hawkes. ðŸ‘👔

“I’m usually not one to write reviews, but quality and honest work is something that is very hard to come by and deserves every ounce of recognition possible. My car has seen more than its fair share of cold and salty winters, so it was due for some brake work. I went elsewhere for quotes, namely some corporate auto shops…absurd up-selling, exaggeration of issues, and above all else astronomical quoting. As someone who is pretty knowledgable about cars, I could smell these corporate chains just going after the money…I brought my car to Ed’s as a work-in and within a couple of hours, I had all new rotors, pads, and even cleaned and regressed calipers that were frozen or sticking! The best of all was the price…nearly 1/3 that of what other places were trying to sell me. Needless to say, Ed’s will have both my girlfriend and I’s business for as long as we’re in the area. It’s not often you find an honest and reliable mechanic that you can wholeheartedly trust to only do what is necessary and not try to rob you of your money, but also to do so while being the friendliest of people. “Three off us ladies were traveling in a rental car from out of state when our car started making a scary noise. We just happened to be in front of Sullivan tire and auto in Peabody so we pulled into the parking lot. The wonderful amazing guy named Drew came out and helped diagnose the problem. We needed a tow but the guys invited us in to call roadside, charge our phones, gave us coffee. I was in a very stressful situation I’d never been in before far from home but Drew made me feel like my dad was there helping us out. You are so lucky to have him. “Brought my car in to get some damage on the hood of my car looked at. They immediately knew how to fix it. I thought my paint was damaged but it turns out that car wax cleans it right off. They showed me exactly what to get, and what to do to avoid scratching the paint. He told me “it’s a good thing you came to us, other places would’ve charged you to repaint the whole hood.” I think he’s absolutely right. I was able to clean my whole hood up for 20 bucks worth of supplies. They are very professional, and knowledgeable there. “Long story short I had work done on my car at home before my trip to Salem. I got off the interstate after driving for 4 hours, my car “slid” followed by the awful smell of burning rubber. Pulled over look at my wheel and my mechanic at home forgot to tighten a bolt connecting the wheel to the control arm. Contacted my mechanic back home and he found Tremont Auto. The owner came within 15 minutes jacked my car up took the wheel off and replaced the missing bolt, if I lived here this would be my new repair shop no questions asked. Not only was the job done well and in a timely manner, the fact that this owner came out to help me with this says a lot about this business and the owner himself! Thank you so much!”

“Ryan and his entire team are top knotch!! From our first conversation to having our 2017 GMC Acadia towed to their shop, Ryan was always in contact with us. We ended up having to have our engine replaced which he explained the how's and why's and we fully understood. He gave us an estimate and it was very fair so we agreed to have him and his team do the work. Ryan installed a remanufactured engine with a warranty. This was not an easy job at all and we did need a few extra parts but why would you put old items on a new engine (Water Pump Etc.) We felt completely at ease. After we got the Acadia back he asked us to bring it back so he could change the oil after 500 miles. We did bring it back and and he changed the oil and he looked at the oil to make sure that the engine was good and it was. During the project if we had questions we could simply call or text Ryan and he always got back to us. If you have read this all the way to here just stop and take your vehicle to Ryan and his team at A&K Automotive.
