I sat in Bob's Country Kitchen talking to the wait staff trying to figure out were I could take the car to be fixed, and probably called five different places. Val at North End Auto was the ONLY ONE who wanted to help. I had the car dropped off in the morning and by mid-afternoon it was ready with a new, high-quality starter. I absolutely love this place. Val is the PERFECT EXAMPLE of a neighborhood mechanic WORTH HIS WEIGHT IN GOLD. Honest, hard working, careful, thorough and doesn't charge an arm and a leg. I could have easily been taken advantage of, being from out of town. Nope. Not here. If you're not having your car serviced by Val, you're missing out. When I came in, I met with Todd who looked at my car and gave me a very reasonable price. I dropped off my car the next day and was ready very quickly. I have AAA and they came and put spare on for me. Meanwhile, I called up and asked if they could put the tires on sooner, and they got me right in, even doing the oil change!
