I didn't feel any pressure to buy something or rushed (which I experience at other Marathon Sports locations). Bella was really supportive and easy going. The environment wasn't hectic or distracting (like other locations). I'm really happy with the Saucony sneakers I bought, and I tried on a couple other pairs for the first time that I'm now interested in. I have been to multiple Marathon Sports locations (Wellesley, Lexington, Boston), and Cambridge is not the most convenient for me, but I will definitely return to the Cambridge location in the future when I want to try on sneakers in store. I had also shared that I was having a bit of a rough day, and that inspired each of them to work a little harder on my behalf (and one of them was at the very end of her shift, no less). “I come here quite often & I can't get over how friendly the staff here are. They go out of their way to welcome & greet every single customer that walks through that door with a smile. There's a manager named Emily who I absolutely adore. She remembers who you are & will stop whatever she's doing to welcome you with open arms & a smile. She's so personable with everyone & sad to say, that's rare in today's retail world. What an overall amazing personality she has & Converse is so lucky to have her. Another thing i appreciate is the fact they ask if you need any help finding something & when you say you're just browsing they give you your space to shop in peace, reminding you they'll be right there if you have any questions &/or need anything. I have yet to encounter an unfriendly employee yet. They treat you like a member of the family here so there's never an awkward moment. Their shoppers and selections always save me before birthdays then holidays. Lesley will put together a bag and scarf combo that's perfect. Or summer sandals that say party on the beach. She and her family buy out leftovers from some great stores and if you pay over $100 for any one of their designer finds I'd be shocked. I just bought three winter coats for nieces and two from some hi end German designer I never would've heard of. Or afforded. Going back to ship her night hours for something nice for daughter and mom. Sometimes I just give her dollar amount, number of gals and sizes and voila, shopping done. “Reliable and affordable spot for cute clothes for little ones. The quality is very nice and holds up well enough to be passed down to younger friends or siblings if they've got 'em. I wish there were fewer super-gendered graphic designs, but as things are, everything is brightly colored and appealing and my son loves it (and every once in a while, one of those graphic items will be so adorable that it's heartbreaking to give it up when your kid grows out of it). Even if nothing here otherwise appeals to you, the fleece drawstring pants are the best and warmest thing your kiddo can wear in the winter, and are always worth stocking up on. A lot of other baby clothes shops at a lower price point than this do not have clothes with as nice of a fabric or as sturdy of a seaming as Carter's, and Carter's is not expensive in the first place. So anyway - solid shop, nice and patient customer service, non-annoying traffic nearby. Kind of a no-brainer if you have little ones or are shopping for someone else's.”

“This place is a shoe icon landmark! Not sure how it barely has any reviews but they have a phenomenal selection of expertly crafted and unusual looking shoes! Loved by many, and popular with musicians in the 90's, the John Fluevog shoe company has been quietly honing their craft since 1987. Glad they are still making a big splash with their shoe designs, saw they had a pic of Lady Gaga in their shoe designs on the wall. Was over the top delighted to go to a brick & mortar store, have not been to one in years. The staff were super friendly and accommodating for any shoe you want to try on. Felt really special in here and the staff are excited about the product and their enthusiasm is fun and infectious. Would highly recommend at least trying on some shoes here and buying a pair of you do not own any. The shoes are so well made, comfortable, and above all else just interesting to see.the shoes are not cheap, but they are gorgeous and they last forever!”
