“Without a doubt the best thrift store in the area! Made an appointment to donate there this morning and was blown away by the aesthetic, style and curation of items here. It is so beautifully decorated it’s hard to believe it’s a thrift store, but their prices cannot be beat! Most clothing items are $5 and shoes $10, but the handpicked sections with higher end brands range from $10-$30 for the more formal dresses and designer accessories. If you’ve been to the well known thrift stores lately (Savers, Salvation Army, Goodwill) you know how these prices compare with quality items and overall shopping experience. Oh, and they have dressing rooms to try on clothing before purchasing. All the staff were so professional, friendly and helpful. Also, the book boutique was huge!”
“I found Closet Connection's website while on the hunt for a specific Coach coat, and they had it! I was able to message them through Facebook and they responded so quickly and I scored the coat of my dreams!! It came in perfect like new condition and even had the extra buttons. Thank you so much CC, you are truly a hidden gem.”
“I'm a big thrifter and I try to visit thrift stores and consignment shops when I'm traveling. I stopped by while visiting Boston. I appreciated seeing this sign as I entered.
It's cash only, which isn't always convenient when traveling. I didn't really find much, but I may look again when in the area.”
“Great Vintage clothes and you can find just about Anything there at a HUGE Discount!! Not to Mention the Awesome People they have working there also!! Definitely have to go if you haven't been there already!”
“Gem of a thrift store! Lots of great treasures, incredible prices, and lovely staff. Big selection of clothing as well as home decor/housewares, jewelery, vintage and new things- lots to look through! This sign shows updated hours - short windows of time but so worth it!”
“Absolutely amazing! Everything is pretty much $1. Came here with a friend when we’d just moved here from the UK, and picked up a brand new wardrobe. Staff are super lovely, tons of different things to buy from shoes to books, bags to tvs. Highly recommend, couldn’t improve what so ever. Open every other saturday 11-1pm and wednesdays 3-6pm, I make sure to go every week you never know what you’ll find! Tons of new stuff everytime, ive had designer brands and fully new labelled items.”
“Growing Up is a wonderful shop with a great selection of gently used, pre-owned brands for kids. The owner is kind and always helpful. They buy directly from customers and they are very selective, which I love as a customer. When I'm clearing out my kids closets and sell to them, I try to bring brands and styles that are current, in season, and high quality. I often carry a credit so shopping there is extra affordable.”
“Recently the clothes they have are new and beautiful. Prices are awesomeGlad to see they have better options now. Staff ok not super friendly but doing there job.”

“Lots of super interesting things. The clothes do move very slowly but if you’re not going frequently it’s fine. The prices (at least for casual clothing and jewelry) are great.”

“The salvation army in Central square in Cambridge on Massachusetts avenue health helped a lot of people throughout the long years that they have been there in that location. I have never stayed there overnight but I have occasionally had need of a shower which they were able to accommodate and a meal from time and time and a couple times during my laundry when I didn't have any money to do them,, don't let your pride get in the way of getting some help from a place like salvation army!! You need to call at 6:00 a.m. the same day to reserve a bed if they have any if you need a place to sleep for the night. If you're going to be staying there I recommend trying to get a bed as close as possible to staff as possible, do not have any loose belongings on you when you go there as they might get stolen, if we have something of value keep it under your shirt or coat or sweater and tie it to you securely before you go to sleep..”
“Found some great things there alot of retro stuff and antiques with excellent customer service I couldn’t believe some of the stuff they have I know there’s a few things I want to get before someone else does”
“I love this location! I always walk out with some fun goodies and they have such a great collection of vintage ceramics/plates. The employees are nice considering all the craziness they have to put up with but Richard is my fave guy. Def take a look if you’re ever nearby!”
“I’ve been to a number of goodwills across the country, and this is BY FAR the best inventory. I got almost my entire wardrobe here, plus my Christmas tree. Also, the clothes turn over almost daily, so if you don’t find what you need, just come back tomorrow.
They don’t have dressing rooms, so I’d advise wearing something you can layer try-on clothes over.
Be sure not to miss the puzzles on the lower level :)”
“My sister and i started thrifting there to donate cloths for homeless and refugees. They have great selection of quality warm clothes at a decent price. The best part of it is the staff, manager Leslie is so kind and professional. the 2 other girls that work there (sorry i dont recall their name) are so lovely. I am grateful that the Salvation Army and their staff of helping us help others. Thank you, Leslie and team. You guys are the BEST :)”
“very nice staff, great selection with an awesome men’s sweater section! everyone saying it was dirty or a bad thrift store was either in a bad mood or that was their first ever thrift store lol! thrift stores aren’t known for being squeaky clean!”
“I almost always find something here. The shelves are always stocked and I feel like there’s a lot of item turnover. I will say there are often broken or dirty items on the shelves, so you have to be in the mood to sort through to find your treasures. Sometimes it smells weird in the store.”
“*disclaimer: this is not a photo of myself but the featured outfit is something that deserves to be recognized and respected for the way it is able to withstand even the most toughest of situations.
Ladies and gentlemen they just don't make quality clothing like this anymore. These days you spend $45 on a pair of jeans and the first time you wash them your washing machine is dyed blue on the inside forever and God forbid you don't have a thigh gap, your crotch is ripping after the 3rd time wearing them. But this amazing onesie featured in this photo shows you that when life gives you lemons, you make the best damn lemonade you can because it will pay off. Have you ever seen someone wearing a onesie like this that looks like Picasso came over and painted it on before she left the house? The fact that she made it from wherever point A was all the way to point B (and possibly other places as well) and this amazing piece of fabric has not a single tear in it. Just the fact that it was able to withstand the pressure of holding on for dear life to those lips below the belt alone makes this clothing item deserve a gold medal. Just to add some context to this review, the woman featured wore this out in public while she went on a shoplifting spree for as many ingredients for making meth as possible. So you know she was in those stores moving fast and really putting that thing to the test because even though it looks like it's ready to explode into shreds with the slightest wrong move, it didn't and it looks like it has endured many days, possibly even weeks on that body. It even seems to give some support to those girls up top who definitely haven't seen a bra since the 7th grade. This is why I will always go to thrift stores for my clothing and other products. What one person sees as old rags, another person can get years of use out of, ultimately saving them from spending money that they can use for more important things, like bail money.
Don't think I didn't peep the sandals either. They deserve just as much, if not more recognition as the onesie but I'll save them for another day.”
“The store has a good selection, especially for smaller sizes. However, the inability to try on clothes properly is a downside, you can only try them on over your own clothes, which isn’t ideal. Most items are hung up with hangers, unlike other Goodwill locations. Unfortunately, the cashier was not pleasant.”

“Routinely great selection on my trips to this Savers location. Earlier this week, there was a really helpful and kind associate, Alissa who was right there to support my donation and fellow shoppers at self checkout…really appreciated that. Donations, no matter the size, are typically seamless at this location and it’s clear where to go. I’ve seen some cleanliness issues inside the store but not for lack of working hard, the team seems to be regular stocking and tidying the showroom. Would definitely recommend a stop when in the area.”
“The staff are friendly and helpful. Drop off area is clean and organized. The store it self is a mini mall that’s full of surprises. If you enjoy treasure hunting, old records, antiques, repurposing furniture… and giving back to community unconditionally then it is a great place to visit!
Do bring you own bag, no return, no hold , no bathroom.”
“Was very pleasantly surprised by how great this thrift store is especially for kids books and clothes. We went here yesterday to check it out and walked out with a ton of books and some clothes and toys for my toddler. The store is very well organized especially for a thrift shop and the prices are excellent.”
“Ive been donating here and shopping here on a regular basis for at least 2 years now, quick donations process and easy to shop here! Staff don’t bother you. Have thrifted an entire professional wardrobe here and also a number of great personal pieces that I absolutely cherish. Pricewise, about 8 items will run you $40+. You can decide if this is good for you. I go for the size, it makes this trip worthwhile.”
“Every time I've been to Goodwill they've been very helpful to me! Cashiers are very friendly very helpful if you need something? And cheerful attitude! This is the kind of thing I would love to see for every business! But the Goodwill where I've gone to in Boston definitely is all that and a bag of chips! ??”
