“awesome vintage shop located in Allston!
Friendly staff and a chill environment make it a pleasure to sort through from the 80s and 90s .
Lots of fashions from decades past including baggy jeans and silk jackets from the 80s.
Will definitely be coming back !”
“I love Diversity Consignment, they have been so supportive of me as an artist! Every time I go in I want to buy something as a customer. The staff are super sweet, friendly, and on top of things like managing the inventory that I bring in. Don't miss it and keep visiting, there is always something new to discover.”
“After a weird experience at the Newbury location, I was hesitant to come here, but was pleasantly surprised at how friendly the employees were! The store itself is neatly organized by category and you can find well-priced pieces from a variety of brands, from more affordable ones to high-end designers. There are fitting rooms to try things on, as well as fun accessories and jewelry. I ended up buying a pair of Levi's shorts, and would definitely come back!”
“I found Closet Connection's website while on the hunt for a specific Coach coat, and they had it! I was able to message them through Facebook and they responded so quickly and I scored the coat of my dreams!! It came in perfect like new condition and even had the extra buttons. Thank you so much CC, you are truly a hidden gem.”
“My experience at Swank Seconds was totally fun. The owner brought me all of the clothes that I told her I needed and we had a great personal shopping experience. She is very knowledgeable about the clothes (shoes, hats accessories as well), their material and the brands as well as helping me decide what looked best. She held the store open after hours for me and as I have lost 20 pounds (and needed smaller size clothing) I found a great summer wardrobe. I'll be back in the fall!”
“The Boston General Store is a great store to visit. It is like many other stores with "general store" or "country store" in their name in that it has a variety of products for your home. They have stuff for the kitchen, bathroom, and other miscellaneous items like art supplies, tools, and candles. They also carry locally sourced goods like Vermont made jams. A lot of their products seem to be of good quality and they seem to focus on sustainability. For example, they are able to refill soap dispensers to avoid the waste of buying new ones. They also have a very nice selection of quality kitchen knives. If you can't drop by the store, they have a website where you can order many of the same products you see in store. I still recommend going in person for the experience.”
“Thank you for making up for this experience. I wish your company the very best. I can not thank you enough for reaching out to me personally. Absolutely great customer service”
“Everything was Great, from the online ordering to the delivery! This order was for my Mother's 90th Birthday. She said it was the most Beautiful boutique of flowers she had ever received.”
“Castanet is one of my favorite shops. Half of my closet comes from here and I always find something special every time I go. Plus Cassie and her team are amazing!”
“Every time we come to Boston, we make sure to stop by the absolute best store in town, Rick Walkers on Newberry Street. The moment you open the door, your senses are awakened by the rich smell of leather. And, that is just a tease. When you talk to Rick, you feel right as rain. He welcomes you and gives you the good ol' feeling like you've known him for decades. It sure is a good time!”
“Super cool little shop. Owner was incredibly warm and helpful in helping me select a rad vintage jacket. I love it. Check her out if you’re in the neighborhood. Parking was super convenient as well.”
“Didnt wanna leave a bad review cuz i didnt go in but i reccomend you update google if youre gonna be closing down for a while, i drove all the way out here when it said it was open and it was closed”
“This store is incredible!!! Great designer pieces for insanely cheap prices. $5 bin sales with donated profits. The staff is also so friendly & willing to help. Love every experience I have with them!!! I will also be shopping online from their insta”
“I started shopping here in '88. Those were my Vintage days. Then grunge and finally goth. They had EVERYTHING.I was so young / 19 - 20. I usually went to Oona's during my vintage days. It was costly as a teen though. Garment District was one of the only places I would shop 'cause they always had the correct clothing for my alternative -- grunge--goth days as well as appropriate items for work. That was so many decades ago. I miss it. It's huge & they had anything I wanted. iNo need to go to NYC!”
“Third time I'm and all three times have been 5 star reviews. Went during a sale and so many great things! Even when it's not a sale, it's just so cool to know the money is going towards a small business and other parents. I've also sold to them and it was such an easy process, definitely recommend signing up for email alerts!”
“One of my favorite consignment shops. Love to browse there selection from jewelry to shoes. I have found amazing clothes, shoes and jewelry. Always get compliments on the clothes and make sure to let people know where I got them?”
“Tee was so welcoming and helpful [sorry if I got your name wrong]! The owner’s presence and artistic flair is also everywhere — just a joyful corner of Cambridge full of purposeful whimsy and marvelous curation. I’ll gladly return!”
“The only antiques market in Boston where you can actually find deals on furniture and brick-a-brack. A great place to kill a Saturday afternoon with a great variety of vendors.”
“The salvation army in Central square in Cambridge on Massachusetts avenue health helped a lot of people throughout the long years that they have been there in that location. I have never stayed there overnight but I have occasionally had need of a shower which they were able to accommodate and a meal from time and time and a couple times during my laundry when I didn't have any money to do them,, don't let your pride get in the way of getting some help from a place like salvation army!! You need to call at 6:00 a.m. the same day to reserve a bed if they have any if you need a place to sleep for the night. If you're going to be staying there I recommend trying to get a bed as close as possible to staff as possible, do not have any loose belongings on you when you go there as they might get stolen, if we have something of value keep it under your shirt or coat or sweater and tie it to you securely before you go to sleep..”
“A great store with professional management. Why buy new when you can recycle and find high quality clothing and handbags. They are in multiple locations but I like the Winchester store because of the other stores I can go to in the beautiful town center. A great way to find nice clothing and be environmentally conscious.”
“Love this charming consignment store in Belmont with a selection of beautiful high quality items.Nice owners who are friendly and knowledgable about their finds.Highly Recommend...”

“A favorite neighborhood shop where I always find the best gifts and tend to leave with something for myself as well. If you're looking for the treasures you find when shopping small and local, this is the place. And during the holidays, they have the best ornaments.”
“I've consigned and shopped many times at Revolve over the years and have been very happy with results. Not everything has sold, of course, but most have and the items that sold were priced fairly for both customers and sellers. I've shopped at both Belmont and Winchester and love them both. (Browsed Newbury st and online) The buyers work quickly and efficiently and are very selective on brand and condition. They truly are curating items for their stores. As a customer, I really appreciate that. Their website lists brands they love so I tend to focus what I bring to them on those brands. I absolutely love how convenient it is to drop off items and pick up no thank you items. It's such a wonderful shop to have in our community!”
“I almost always find something here. The shelves are always stocked and I feel like there’s a lot of item turnover. I will say there are often broken or dirty items on the shelves, so you have to be in the mood to sort through to find your treasures. Sometimes it smells weird in the store.”
“My sister and i started thrifting there to donate cloths for homeless and refugees. They have great selection of quality warm clothes at a decent price. The best part of it is the staff, manager Leslie is so kind and professional. the 2 other girls that work there (sorry i dont recall their name) are so lovely. I am grateful that the Salvation Army and their staff of helping us help others. Thank you, Leslie and team. You guys are the BEST :)”
“I’ve been to a number of goodwills across the country, and this is BY FAR the best inventory. I got almost my entire wardrobe here, plus my Christmas tree. Also, the clothes turn over almost daily, so if you don’t find what you need, just come back tomorrow.
They don’t have dressing rooms, so I’d advise wearing something you can layer try-on clothes over.
Be sure not to miss the puzzles on the lower level :)”
“Every time I've been to Goodwill they've been very helpful to me! Cashiers are very friendly very helpful if you need something? And cheerful attitude! This is the kind of thing I would love to see for every business! But the Goodwill where I've gone to in Boston definitely is all that and a bag of chips! ??”
