“Love this store! Colleen and Brittany go out of their way to help me every week. I come here to shop on behalf of a food pantry so I buy a large quantity of wet and dry dog and cat food every time I come. They help me get the best deals to make our limited budget stretch far (our clients love the PSP store brand, which is the best pricing!) Colleen helps me fill my cart, Brittany organizes everything for me at the counter and they both help me load my cart back up, and then Colleen always helps fill my car. They always remind me to put in my phone number and earn rewards - and those add up!! The store is always clean and organized and easy to navigate. I always have a great experience shopping here on the weekends, when other stores are usually so busy and the staff can't make time for anyone. Here, you feel like you're the only customer in the store every time you ask for assistance. Colleen and Brittany work so hard to keep this place running well!”
“I can not say enough good things about Paws in Play!! I've been taking my pup here for 7 years now and she absolutely loves it. Whether it's for a day of daycare or boarding, I know that she is well taken care of. Jess and Dave do a great job running this place and keeping things safe for all the dogs that walk through their door. They love each dog like they were their own!! The facebook page and snapchat accounts post pictures and videos of all the dogs having a great time whether its inside or out in the yards. I could not ask for a better place or better people to leave my little girl with while i'm at work or away.”

“First impression, it smelled clean and fresh!It looked extremely clean. We were greeted in a friendly manner and given a tour of the facility. The dogs and cats were clearly safe and well cared for. There is plenty indoor of individual space for each and a manicured lawn outdoors for dogs. I wanted to see the facility before boarding my dog & cat next week. They answered all my questions and concerns. I'll let you know how it goes.”
“Thank you, Masha!!!! I was traveling by car today back to PA from Cape Cod, MA and was thrilled to find a Petco in Mansfield, MA with very clean restrooms. One of my dogs wears diapers (Bella Beagle) and has a stroller so the fact that the restroom was handicapped accessible made it so much easier for changing her and also for a quick, safe stop for myself. My other dog was able to be with us without incident and I have to say, it makes such a difference when traveling. Bailey is a jrt mix. She really needed a nail trim. I have never had any of my pets' nails done at Petco previously. Our veterinarian is located in PA. I remembered that our vet uses the "Petly" app to keep current immunization records, etc. Masha was so kind. She entered both dogs in the system. It turned out that because Bella is on Gabapentin and is unable to walk without assistance, they were unable to trim her nails; however, Bailey had the best experience!! Most places I have been to won't take walk ins. This was just such an incredibly positive experience. Masha said she's been working for Petco for six months. Not only is she phenomenally skilled with dogs, she has superb customer service skills. Another outstanding employee was Kevin. He was very friendly and spent time petting both dogs as Masha patiently waited for me to get the necessary immunization information of of the "Petly" app our veterinarian uses. He remembered both dogs names and really made me feel welcome and like doing business there was a pleasure. When I first entered the building I did pass several employees who were focused on their work. It was definitely appreciated to have special attention. It really makes a difference. I purchased more than I would have because of the positivity I felt.”

“This is truthfully, my favorite store in the entire world. I lived in L.A. for many years and when I moved to Marshfield, I struggled to find a place to buy a new little bird buddy (I settled on a Quaker parrot, per Joey's recommendation -best recommendation ever!). The folks who work here are so in tune and knowledgable about birds -it's worth the hour drive! I buy all my toys and parrot food here for my birds. All of the employees are kind, willing to help, and always give clear answers. I am neurotic about my three little birds, and (more than once!) Joey has helped ease my concerns with super helpful advice and answers. Amazing business. Nothing out there like this place!”

“We brought our new pup Millie into Chickadee Seed and Feed after her vet appointment at Holmes and we met Missy, the owner. Millie had such a great time. She got lots of hugs and kisses and Missy gave her a bully stick (her very first) and she loved it! They are so friendly and welcoming there. They have a table set up with baked goods and apple cider which we took full advantage of. The store is so clean and well organized and Missy was patient and so knowledgeable when asked a ton of questions by us with regards to our new pup. They have a huge selection of everything you would need for your pet. We will definitely be back!! Thank you so much Missy!!! Millie is happily eating her bully stick at the moment while we get our things done around the house.”

“We have had our Great Pyrenees/Golden male in for grooming and nail trims twice. They are very kind and do a good job with Bjorns' dew claws. He comes home so handsome and exhausted after spending the day barking at the Irish Setters! Prices are good. Easy to get an appointment. Highly recommend.”

“My Rottweiler has a spinal injury. I can get him into the tub, and they have a ramp if you need it. The equipment is excellent. I wish my hairdryer was as strong! I like that you get a kit with a towel, a rubber curry comb, a metal comb, and a soft brush. The place is clean. The people are super!! It’s a great business!”
“I love the Village groomer. I bring my best friend for nails. They do a wonderful service for nails. They are so nice to humans and their pets. Also the bird feed shop and garden shop has so much to offer and great gift ideas. You won’t be disappointed. A little bit pricier than going to the big box store but well worth it. Service is much better.”

“I was really happy with the selection of cat food/products, including for senior cats, which can be hard to find. My cat tried new kind of food "Tiki Cat Silver" that he really liked! Unfortunately, the store didn't have a particular dog treat brand I had been looking for (a smoked chicken jerky stick), but the staff person I asked showed me something sort-of comparable and said if our dogs didn't like them, just to bring them back with the receipt for a refund. Very nice policy though I didn't test it; our dogs liked the treats but they were just a little hard on their teeth.”

“The Vetco in Quincy Center has been a very pleasant surprise. The online scheduling process is very easy. The reminder texts are well thought out so that most of the administration is completed before you step in the front door. Once you arrive, the staff and vets are organized and make for a very smooth experience. All the prices are listed on the website, the packages make sense and are easy to understand. All the receipts and records are emailed to you a few mins after the appointment.Dealing with the local vets in Dorchester and Southie has been a nightmare. They don't list any prices and the prices vary widely for offices within a half or quarter mile of each other. When they do tell you the price, it feels like negotiating with a car dealership. Some vets try to charge additional exam fees, some just gouge new customers. It was especially weird having to ask one vet for a hard copy of the vaccination records so that I'd have a copy. It's the first thing many doggie daycares and groomers ask for and the vet made it seem like my request was out of the ordinary.Feel free to do your own research, but you'll just learn to appreciate how friendly and transparent this Vetco is. We've been back twice and plan to keep coming back. The prices make sense and the experience is excellent. Getting your pet vaccinated should be an easy, quick and straight forward process like this.”
