“5 stars! I have family members out of state, that wk for USPS service, so I understand the Federal Standards- Saugus Post office is exceptional, and, as other reviews,I choose to use Saugus, because of exceptional service, everytime I've come!
I've had real problems elsewhere in Essex Co. that have not followed Federal USPS standards!
They, are always efficient, kind/ pleasant, nonpartial, and professional...
I've had to call Postmaster/ Feds because of breaks of personality -problems brought to the job, at other Essex County Post offices...
Saugus, has never been in this category, since, from another state, never either has their Post Offices behaved untowardly...
I've referred persons, to apply for work, when they hire, at Saugus USPS!”

“I have visited this post office several times in the last few weeks and have had nothing short of outstanding service. The staff all are extremely timely, courteous, and helpful. There is rarely a line and if there is, there are 2 associates helping up front. The attitude of the staff is positive, kind, but also professional and helpful. All the staff I have interacted with are kind, but Alicia especially has been amazing. I have a somewhat complex and time consuming transaction and she doesn’t skip a beat with it. She embodies what every employee should strive for and I would go out of my way to visit this location as unfortunately I have not had this same experience at all locations, it varies wildly. 5 shining stars to Alicia and this location!”

“The Staff at this location are 2 of the friendliest people I've ever encountered. I come in there with at least 30 priority envelopes to mail, each one having to be manually entered. It can be time-consuming and tedious. Kelly has helped me the last 2 times I've been in and the other woman (whose name has escaped me, sorry!) helped me during my first visit. Both have been so great, helpful and friendly. They get me in and out of there in record time and make my experience very pleasant. Heck, even the fellow customers I've encountered there are super friendly, too! It's nice to be helped by people that are happy to be helping! Great work, keep it up!”

“Wonderful customer service. The mail carrier, Jose, doubled back at the end of his route to deliver a package for my daughter when it was realized that it had been marked for the incorrect route. To go that extra distance (literally and figuratively) to deliver a package for a girl on her birthday really restores a little bit of faith back in humanity for me. “This USPS office is perfectly adequate. I've used it many times. It is small, but the staff are hard-working and polite. If you are smart about when you visit it will not be too crowded. I'm baffled by the negative reviews. It's a post office, folks, not the Taj Mahal. If this post office is ever closed folks in South Boston will have to take the T in order to send mail.”

I preferred tracking on my customer's order but USPS does not offer tracking on First Class Letters. However, if you purchase insurance up to $50 for $2.50 + any due postage, they provide tracking with the insurance coverage. I'm sure they internally track their insured items so it's less likely they will have to pay out on insurance claims, and passing it along to the consumer is a great supplemental service we appreciate. This tip satisfied my buyer and my business. Thank you for your help!”
