Pet Care

Bay State Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Services
463 Swansea Mall Dr, SwanseaMocha wants to thank the excellent team of emergency doctors, vet techs, and front desk staff that took care of her the past 2 days!! We received excellent service from Dr. Rosenstein. She followed her case consistently, gave us a clear treatment plan and specific recommendations. The vet techs were incredible and each morning we received a photo update on how our baby was doing. It made us feel so comforted to receive these updates. Every single tech I spoke to was extremely empathetic and efficient to answer any questions they had the capability to answer (I know I had a lot). Most importantly, They made sure our mocha had a comfortable stay while getting the treatment she needed. We look forward to completing her treatment plan you and thank you for taking care of our baby❤️

Swansea Pet Lodge
475 Cedar Ave, SwanseaMy French bulldog Rosie has stayed at the lodge twice. I have nothing but praise for the Ray and his associate. I love Rosie to the moon and back, and I would only trust the pet lodge with her care while I'm away.

Stoney Hill Boarding Kennels
115 Stoney Hill Rd, SwanseaJinger & Jasper had the pleasure of staying with Sarah & Ken at Stoney Hill. Sarah did a wonderful job taking care of them both. She even purchased more of their wet food to be sure they were eating enough. We will definitely board our to kitties there again. Highly recommend them to anyone that wants to feel at ease when going away. I would give them a sixth Star if I could. Thank you again Sarah. Ps they were spoiled with the catico.

The Ice Cream Barn
289 Locust St, SwanseaThis place has delicious ice cream and a variety of flavors and toppings to choose from. I tried their peanut butter toffee ice cream and it was very tasty. It was creamy and full of little peanut butter cups and toffee pieces. The setting is very cute. It is all outdoors so plan on sitting in your car if it is rainy. Definitely worth the trip if you are in the area.

Eskimo King
29 Market St, SwanseaStop two of RI FOOD FIGHTS #bestscoopshopri brought me to an old friend. My grandparents have lived in Bristol my whole life and every trip up north meant a stop at the Eskimo King. Even though it's Massachusetts technically, we claim them as part of Rhode Island tradition lol
One thing about Eskimo King, there is a lot of parking! The red brick building sits on the edge of a small field with picnic tables and two photos ops, you can be an ice cream cone or take a selfie in the giant Adirondack chair. It was a beautiful day to get some ice cream.
The service is walk up, cash only. The red brick the perfect background for the big white signs that list every possible ice cream flavor you can think of. This was the first time I would be getting ice cream that wasn't soft serve. As I tend to do during a scoop shop month, I asked the cashier what her favorite was. She suggested coffee Oreo. A few moments later, I had my cup of ice cream. Creamy, rich coffee flavor and still crunchy bits of Oreo, a more adult version of the classic cookies and cream. It was delicious.
There is no doubt I'll be back! Only a matter of when.
