“While Stop and Shop is probably marginally cheaper, it doesn’t have the Vineyard feel that Cronig’s Market boasts. As soon as I stepped in, I could tell this was a grocery store on the Island, as opposed to a Stop and Shop that could be anywhere, just a little scrunched up. The prices are high to be sure, but so is the quality. They also have some nice touches, like an excellent floral selection and MVY postcards. If and when I return to Martha’s Vineyard, this is where I’ll be getting my groceries.”
“I went to the store to have a screen saver replaced and get a new band for my Apple Watch. Yhe band snapped off and I did not know if it could be replaced. I was concerned that I would have to buy a new watch. In under 5 minutes the screen was replaced and a new case and band was put on the watch. Total cost of $30 plus tax. Great service at a very affordable price.”

“We were so thankful to have Black Sheep as our wedding caterer for a ~150 person wedding with a tented dinner reception. We were so impressed by Mel and her staff and they were a key part in making our wedding day a success. merchandise made locally and in places like Maine. Old fashioned goodies coupled with mighty cool gourmet foods and condiments. Shopping here for any age is easy. Big children's section. You can satisfy friends, family - truly something for everyone. Beach supplies, kitchen finds, decorative and personal items. Staff here treat everyone so so well. Can't heap enough praise on the whole experience.”

“Get the hard dough bread... Do not leave without getting some spicy rolls or bread!... Be certain to get an empanada.... Do not cheat yourself make sure you get some Jamaican gingerbread cookies. This place is a local secret! It also happens to be the only Western Union on the island... It is set back off the road just to the left of the gas station it has its own little parking spot. Go for the empanadas stay for the smiles!”

“This Cronigs location serves the up island area of Martha's Vineyard, so their uniquely positioned to provide food and products. They are limited by the space available?, however manage to provide a good selection and very fresh produce, meats, poultry and bread. They are adequately staffed and go out of their way to help and accommodate your needs.
Recently the owner retired and sold store to their manager...service never faltered.”

“I have to give a 5 star review to the staff of this store. Ryan, CJ, Lilla, Aylish, Valmir,, Michael the hard working people in produce, dairy - really EVERYONE. They have a hard job, are constantly understaffed and doing their best in a dilapidated store and still find the time to be so generous in spirit to me every time I come in. Exchanges/refunds are processed with no fuss or complaint. They give my kids the royal treatment. I’m truly so grateful for their defiant hard work.”

“Very clean, only went in 4 a couple of things I had ordered through their FLASH FOOD APP. The app is great!! Near 2 long dated, or damaged items, still good 2 eat.. only disadvantage 4 some is all items need 2 B paid 4 by credit or debit card.. does not accept food stamps, hopefully it will change so ALL R able 2 utilize the savings!!”
