I came in for a flat tire fix but it was a sidewall puncture. I replaced the tire but there was a problem with the new tire. Joel went above and beyond to get it fixed and to ensure that I was fully satisfied and back on the road asap. As my vehicle is AWD, I decided later to come and replace the other 3 tires. Joel once again helped me again with his incredible customer service and gave me a nice discount for my prior troubles. Time and time again, Joel has shown that he will go above and beyond for his customers and to provide the very best service. I highly recommend Joel without any hesitation!”

“I was in to have one of my tires swapped out due to a puncture. While the car was in the mechanic checked the front suspension and noticed serious issues with the ball joint and tie rod links. Although they don’t do suspensions work they recommended replacing as soon as possible. My mechanic agreed and said they saved me some serious potential damage. “We’ve been taking our cars to Alewife Automotive for almost 10 years, and I’m consistently impressed with their service and kindness. We’ve had everything done from inspections to tires to repairs. They are transparent and fair, and they never tack on surprise charges. A perfect example of this was I had taken a new car to get inspected with plates to a shop closer to our home, and not only were they kind of rude to me, but they wanted to charge me $20 to put plates on. I called George at Alewife and he said to come on over, they’ll take care of it all no charge. And this is something I’m used to with them—no charges to change out a bulb, top off fluids, etc. As a woman I’ve found that the stereotype is usually true with many shops, trying to get me to buy something I don’t need or up-charge me for something I wasn’t prepared for. It’s worth the slightly longer drive to get here for their service, I don’t know why I ever try to go anywhere else!”

“I originally went to Pep Boys for a simple headlight bulb replacement, but my experience was disappointing. The employee at the front desk told me it would take a few days without offering much explanation or showing any urgency. Shortly afterward, I saw him outside in the parking lot talking to someone in a car, which didn’t leave a great impression.
I decided to leave and went to Mavis Tire in Dedham on Providence Highway instead, and the difference was night and day. Jaleel was professional, prompt, and extremely courteous from start to finish. He listened to what I needed, helped me quickly, and provided excellent customer service throughout the entire process.
If you’re looking for a shop that values your time and treats customers with professionalism and respect, I highly recommend Mavis in Dedham and especially Jaleel. Great experience.”

“Came in for winter tire changeover. Was told at 2pm that they were a man down. I said, no problem, I’ll be here until 5:30.
Got the car at 5:30 and hit the highway and the car starts shimmying right away. I was not happy.
Called the next day. Made a priority appointment. When I showed up for the spot, I was polite but firm. I told one of the guys that I had sat patiently for 3.5 hours waiting for my tires the first time in. No problem. I had the time. Today, I don’t have the time and did not want to wait. I have never left Direct Tire with out-of-balance tires.
So, Fabio, a mechanic that I met looked at the tires and rims. He brought me out to show me the problem. The right side tires were wobbly as he turned them. Huh. I had not seen that before.
So we made a plan. I asked that he rebalance the tires to the best of his ability and put the two best balanced tires up front. He agreed that was the best plan of action.
I was not there long, and when I left, I hopped on the highway, and it was 100% better. Not perfect, but so much better. I know that it will never be perfect. I guess this is what had been done in the past without me knowing.
Once again, great service, people who care, and a super staff keep me coming back. It may be a little more expensive, but it’s always worth it. Every single time.

“Met Carmelo and Gus this morning when I took my 23 old truck for an inspection. I have had bad experience at other shops for simple inspections before. Not at Volsar, they were friendly, professional, and honest. I did all the work myself so I know my truck inside out and know nothing is wrong or need fixing. “I can't recommend Catalano Automotive Repair enough. After another shop tried charging me for unnecessary work on my 2015 Jeep Wrangler, I called Catalano to get a second opinion on a temperature issue, and I'm so glad I did. John was incredibly knowledgeable and diagnosed exactly what was causing the overheating. He was communicative throughout the entire process and made sure I understood everything he was doing to my car.
I brought it to him fairly last minute since I was leaving for a long road trip at the end of the week, and after I explained the situation, John and his team got the car finished in time for my trip. “When you have an older car and do not know much about cars, going to a car service center can feel a lot like going to the dentist. You know something may be wrong, you know it may affect your safety, but you do not always know what is urgent, what can wait, how much it should cost, or whether you should approve a recommended service.
Because of that, I usually feel very stressed and anxious when I have to take my car in. Express Tire & Auto Service was different. I brought my car in because I was concerned about my brakes and some overall issues while driving. They performed a very thorough inspection and sent me photos and videos of what they found, along with clear explanations and an online estimate where I could review each item and decide what to approve.
That system was incredibly helpful. At many places, I receive information verbally and can only understand part of what is being explained, so I end up feeling pressured to approve things because I am worried about safety. Here, I had enough time and information to make an informed decision. I really appreciated the transparency, professionalism, and kindness of the team.
They were friendly, patient, and reliable from start to finish. I feel very lucky to have found this place, and I feel much more comfortable and confident driving my car now. “I used think Firestone was just a tire shop, I've now gone for brakes, oil changes and other work on my vehicle. They are friendly, professional and transparent about pricing and wait times which I find very reasonable compared to other shops, especially dealership shops. Most recently, after service, my tire pressure light came on, I panicked and thought it was my engine light which I'm sure if I had taken a moment I would have realized. Mohammed had me come right back in, explained what it was and did make me feel embarrassed or stupid in any way! I will be returning for future service.”
