“I’ve been living in the area for more than two decades and it has always been a pleasant experience for me there. Staff is all polite and helpful, I actually received a wonderful service from this young black man with glasses(should have asked for his name!). He was not only very knowledgeable and helpful, he went above and beyond and replaced my license plate for me. New screws for replacing my license plate was one of the things I needed to get at the store. He was so very kind and his customer service skill was exceptional. Thank you so much and I highly recommend this hardware store if you need anything!!”
“This is my go-to local hardware store. They have a little bit of everything. I buy 20-pound bags of black oil sunflower seeds at a good price to feed birds. They have a great selection of lightbulbs. Seeds for spring planting. Potting soil. It's a great place to refill your LPG tanks. The staff is friendly and helpful. You can order ahead and enjoy curbside pickup.”

(the right parts the ones that work) that can take some time to get and usually expensive....for everyone including them. Never had a bad experience spending other peoples money or my own at Harvard power. Thank you”

“A model for what a local hardware store should be. Staffed by a mix of adults who know exactly how to help you. They also employ local kids who are usually pretty helpful, though they are just teenagers so manage your expectations! They are kids working a first job, and I see a lot of people (both in the store and on Yelp) mistake inexperience with rudeness. Selection is good for a local place, though more niche items may require a trip to a larger place. Importantly, they do not carry much of anything in terms of wood and lumber, though they have a decent power tool section, including Craftsman, Milwaukee, and Stihl. Painting, plumbing, hand tools, grilling, house care, yard care, and screws are examples of the areas they cover pretty well. Value is good as well, matching or beating that of places like Lowes or HD, and Ace is a local mainstay.”

“At my previous visit to the store, I noticed they now offer knife sharpening. Today, I took all of my knives of various sizes to have Ace sharpen them. They did a marvellous job. After testing each of them at home, they are sharper than every, like new. I recommend this service, and the store generally, where everyone seems helpful, but not overly so. Love going here.”

“Chelmsford Lumber team provided high quality service including structure engineer consultation, on-time delivery and return proecss. I would especially appreciate the engineer, Matt Rimkus, who helped me calculate the structure and materials timely as requested, and patiently answered my questions. His professional serivce made me finally decide to purchase all materials through Chelmford lumber. Furthermore, the salesperson, Shaun in the store also provided an excellent service in delivery and return of the orders. In overall, i believe that this company is well managed and trusted. Their price is very fair and competitive to others.Just one thing to be improved is to state more clearly the return policy of special orders as customers place an order.”

“This year's (2023) quality of pellet fuel is very good.One thing has really improved. Everyone asks if you need help. I bought extra wood pellets dye cold weather after burning 2 tons. These were inferior wood pellets @$6 a bag. It leaves an odor not normally associated with hardwood which is what it was indicated on the bag to be. Finding a cart to load them on was not easy. It may be time to buy next winters supply from your regular supplier. If you can locate the quality at last year's price with an increase in delivery I suggest you do it. If was another product I'd give them 4 stars but product brings it down a notch. It's an annoying odor that leaves your throat scratchy. It's not COVID.”
“People will complain about the retail service here, but this ain't HD or Lowes, it's a supply house. If you need a 2x12 and don't want to burn an hour driving to HD in Waltham and back, they're great. The hours however are limited, since they service contractors.
That said, while I might have to wait or try to get someone's attention, I've always gotten what I needed here from paint to lumber to propane tank refills all while supporting a local shop rather than sending the money to a mega corp.”
“This morning, my family arrived at the softball fields for my daughter’s East Coast Bandits softball tournament at Roby Park at 7am. We soon discovered a wasps nest near their dugout so my husband headed to Home Depot South Nashua, which was closed at the time. Special thank you to store manager, Terrell, who open the door early in order from my husband to get wasp spray. Customer Service was five stars in above thank you Terrell and thank you Home Depot for exceptional customer service!”
“Maynard is the best small shop for projects around the house. They always seem to have the most random part that is needed. I also always go to them for smoke detectors, CO detectors, heat detectors, etc. They have really good prices and great customer service!”

“I was very impressed with the employees here. I shopped on 5/7/2024. Devon helped me throughout my shopping experience. He was helpful and pleasant as I finished my list of items. I then checked out in the garden center because it was cooler. I was second in line behind a customer who was slightly upset and insulted the man in the booth. He apologized over and over and kept his composure. I was also helped by the paint department who helped me with a certain stain color that I needed. Way to improve your customer service! Great job”
