“Liz is an absolute joy. I have been coming to this location for a while and she always has a smile on her face and is extremely helpful. I tried to ask a man,I believe his name was Shawn, a question and he was very spacey and did not seem to know what was going on. Thank goodness for Liz. She stepped in to help me. Not sure what was going on with Shawn but this is sadly not the first time I have seen him be spacey and just standing at what is the paint center doing nothing while others are working very hard.”
“Wayne and crew are A+ super helpful and knowledgeable about all of my questions with straight answers and no run around. If you need something definitely make this your first stop!”
“New home owner here, and I have been frequent as this Ace Hardware. I've been helped multiple times by different staff, and all of them have been very nice and know exactly what Im looking for. Scott helped my significant other and I find multiple items in store and gave us great advice and suggestions.”
“Good old fashioned, family run hardware store. Got some plumbing related parts (O-rings / washers, and tubing) that even the local plumbing specialty store didn't have.”
“We recently were called to this establishment as they had a leaky roof and we are a roofing company. FHC has been around for many years. They have been a big part in the industrial supply business in the New England area, specifically Leominster and Fitchburg, for over 100 years! I met with their staff as they were welcoming and very pleasant. A family run business for many years. My experience with them was exceptional and heartwarming.
For all those who read this review, if you’re in the need of any type of industrial supplies or construction supplies, whether you’re looking for salt in the winter or Tools for your business or industrial chemical cleaners or specialty tools or many other things. I would say, please support this business as it has been a part of our community for many years and hopefully many years more to come!
I give them a five star for their service to the community and their hospitality. We will also be using them ourselves here in the near future!
Thank you, FHC. It was a pleasure doing business.

“We buy a lot of materials from them and the people inside always take care of you. Especially Dan, they're lucky to have someone on top of their stuff and work there for a while.”
“Wide selection of tools for a great price. Hope this store doesn't close, it would be a loss. Keep it going and get yourself some new tools, you know you need them.”
“I love shopping here! The staff is always super friendly and really knowledgeable, ready to help you find exactly what you need. It feels great to support a local business that truly cares about its customers!”

“Had a pressure switch fail and blow a leak. This was the first call I made, he knew what I needed, explained the details, he had them in stock. I picked it up , put it in, , could not have been easier. The hardest part was cleaning up the mess.
He knows his business and his price was excellent.”
“I am a builder and have used MAKI for years. The primary purpose for using them is for building supplies. Across the board, they do an excellent job of making sure the material is delivered in excellent condition and on schedule.
Their delivery drivers are pros and are capable of getting the material to precisely where you want it. Not every company does this and Big Box delivery drivers can't carry their lunch.
Excellent sales help and competitive pricing. Highly recommend”
“First of the season corn on a stand right outside the store. Actually penny candy With bigger candies at 15 and 20 cents! Try it!
The Ashby Common is a gem with white churches, a Grange, American Legion, water tap (by Grange), public library circa 1900. Bandstand w summer bands on Wednesday nights.”
“We moved, but when we lived nearby. I shopped there regularly. While prices might be higher than the Big Box stores, the convenience more than makes up for it. They have a great inventory and I always found the service helpful and friendly. I miss it!”
“I really appreciate this lumber yard as not only do they have a wide selection of lumber and molding products but they also have a lot of hardware and tools. Thank you very much!”

“While shopping at your Gardner location I was assisted by a nice young man named Nathan. He was immensely helpful and knowledgeable in the products they provide. I would recommend Nathan to any and ALL employers.”
“I've had the pleasure of working with Joe Sibley at at Maki in Gardner and cannot speak highly enough of him and the company overall. Wonderful to work with, they carry almost everything and are very responsive. 10/10.”

“Breaks my heart that after working at local stores for years and moving 1400 miles away I am no longer able to place an online order unless I can pick it up at a "local" store. Yes, I can get it at a competitor who I know here... but I want to buy from MY HARDWARE store.”
