“I didn’t think the mushrooms would be that different from chain grocery store and I was SO WRONG; we bought maitake mushrooms and added them to a pasta and they were the most flavorful, umami, pillowy delicious addition to the dish. Worth every penny. I can’t eat mass produced mushrooms anymore. These are incredible. And the tea selection is legit; I bought a pu’erh inside a dried mandarin and it was some of the nicest tea I’ve had in recent memory. And the sticker selection was incredible. “Found this place exploring Woburn. Cannot recommend it enough. I have no experience with Iranian food. A man, i assume the owner, greeted me and i told him i had no experience and what he recommends. He recommended the beef kebab. Apparently its one of his most popular dishes. I ordered 2, for me and my wife. I also found the ingredients there to possible make my own at home sometime. I got some baklava and found some spices i have trouble finding near me. First of all the owner was extremely pleasant and courteous. He gave me a cup of black tea to drink while i waited. It was wonderful. It didn't take him too long to make the food at all. The prices for both meals and all the extra stuff i got was 60 bucks. For comparison, 30 wings i got from a pizzeria the other day was 50 bucks, and they were mass produced garbage. The kebab i ate when i got home was extremely good. You could taste the beef, it was not overwhelmed with other spices like Turkish kebabs can be. the accompanying yogurt is very good but not necessary really, as the beef was so good, it stands on its own. The owner explained to me how they eat the kebab and rice in the traditional way, by mashing the cooked tomatoes into the rice and mixing with the butter and sumac. The rice was perfect and fluffy and the tomato mash and sumac complemented it lightly without being the main flavor. If you get four meals you get one free btw. All in all a very pleasant discovery and a pleasant interaction with the owner and great food. The baklava was fantastic as well. If you are in Woburn, stop in there. If you regret it, the problem is with you and not the owner or the food, lol. Support a small business as well. Dominoes will be fine without you. There is no in store dining so you can take it home, eat it in the car, as i struggled NOT to do or there are some publics tables 50 feet away.”
“This little store is an absolute hidden gem! 🤩 I accidentally stumbled across it while picking up food next door, and OMG… I only wish I had found it sooner! Ayse was incredibly kind, welcoming, and so helpful. I originally stopped in for their Turkish sparkling mineral water, which is hands down the best sparkling mineral water I’ve found in Boston. Most sparkling waters give me heartburn, but this one actually helps relieve it! While I was there, I asked Ayse if she had any hidden gem recommendations. She suggested the labneh (pictured) and these cleaning wipes… and can I just say WOW. 😂 They have completely replaced my regular cleaning products. I use them all over my house, and I’m a total clean freak! They’re made with vinegar instead of harsh chemicals, the strawberry scent smells amazing, and the price is unbelievable. I’ve already bought packs for my family and friends because I love them that much. And the labneh? It’s the best I’ve ever had. I think I’m on my 25th container at this point. 😂 If they ever stop carrying it, I might actually cry. If you’re looking for authentic Turkish products, friendly service, and some truly amazing finds, I can’t recommend this place enough. Definitely check out this hidden gem—you won’t regret it!”

The traditional kielbasa subs with sauerkraut are amazing and had my first DJ's meatball sub today and loved it! One sub, a short stick of kielbasa, A bottle of soda and a candy bar for under $20. “I travel about a half hour every week to shop at this one (or sometimes Somerville or Waltham) even though I live one block from a Stop & Shop. This one is my favorite. 38 registers (with no self-checkouts). it is always clean. The employees are always helpful and pleasant/polite. Yes, it can be super busy at times, so I plan accordingly and go when it's a little less busy. I save more than enough there to pay for the gas/time to get there. Some items are more than $2 cheaper than other stores. I've even started buying things like paper towels, toilet paper and laundry detergent (all of which I used to buy at Target).”
Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.
Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
