“This is by far the best grocery store in a 50 mile radius of it's location. The produce is always very nice. There is an extraordinary amount of unique products that simply can't be found anywhere else. Most of all, the meat department is not only gifted, they are careful to offer valuable and good quality meat products for much less than the surrounding stores. They know what they are doing and they do it well. They aren't simply packaging items for sale, they are thinking about your table, your family experience, and they try very hard to do great work.”
“Clean, quaint, small-town vibe with the all-inclusive small-town, southern-type-of-hospitality, where you're treated not just like a customer, but a neighbor and friend and not a number in line. The only purpose for removing 1 star was because the products seem to be set at prices that are not suitable for the penny-pincher, bargain shopper, which that's the name of the game when you're in an area that's too far from the bargain bulk grocery stores, so it's expected. Outside of that, it's a very lovely place to shop.”
“The girls at my store on Sheridan road really work hard and they don't get a lot of credit for what they're doing but I think they're the best always there for me very polite friendly and even help me out to my car what more could you ask”
“This place is very convenient. Small store, you should be able to find what you need and it has a good selection of beers and meats. Get here early in the AM to get a chance to get some of the most amazing doughnuts - they are so good!! The only downfall is it's a bit pricey here.”

“Good store to stop and grab some munchies or drinks. They do usually have a little rack with hats and shirts. They also have a few pieces of glass products for the ones who like to smoke. And they also carry alcohol. Prices are about the same as the rest in town.”
“Love having this dollar general as my home store. It's always super clean compared to a few others located not too far from my house. I love the new updates with offering fresh fruits and veggies. Living out in Byron we're very limited to what's near if you need to just run up and grab something. Staff is great and always super friendly and helpful. Usually stop in a few times a week and I've yet to have a bad experience.”

“This store is small and somewhat expensive but it is convenient and the workers are always kind. It's one of those places that makes you feel the comfort of small town living. They do not accept food stamps, they do not sell liquor either but they have beer and they have a pretty good selection of non alcoholic drinks as well.”

“Come on...it's Meijer, est grocery store around! Great mixture and selection of products. From groceries to food to automotive, pet supplies, my go to pharmacy. Being remodeled right now, but they are keeping things flowing. Bought some Hey Dude shoes here too.
I always get great Fuel discounts too! I use E85 and received 50 cents off a gallon today! Sometimes I get 1.00 off a gallon!”
“This store always gets better in the winter when other employees come from other stores to help with the holidays. And to be honest, idk if the newer employees were just extra help for that reason or if they are permanent employees, but hopefully, the latter because this location got better with the new additions. Recently, I was here to deposit cash to cash app, and the self checkout was open, but I needed an employee for this transaction, so I went to a cash register with a person. There was no one in line, but an older lady got behind me and started putting all of her stuff on the counter out of her cart. This doesn't bother me with anyone, especially at Dollar General, because it's normal and not a big deal. But then she incessantly complained about my transaction taking too long. And she got progressively more and more angry. The dude behind the counter couldn't ignore it any longer, as I doubt anyone could have. But he handled it perfectly, and not in a rude way, and there just was no talking sense to this lady. In the middle of him apologizing to her, when truthfully, this guy deserved the apology, she stormed out red-faced and full of crazy anger. I will never understand how something like that could make someone so angry. This event just stuck out in my mind so I felt like it was relevant to a review. Any store with employees with integrity makes that store better among stores. And as dollar generals go, this location is clean.”
“Prices are a little high, but not outrageous, and their "2 for $X" deals on drinks are usually pretty good. Selection is okay, not great, but they have the basics you expect from a small convenience store. Their hours are pretty decent, it's nice to have something open late on this side of town. I will say they have the coldest drinks in town. Shell, Dollar General, and Riverside keep their coolers so warm that it is not nice or refreshing to grab a bottle of water or soda on a hot day because they are basically room temperature. But in my experience, Southside usually has ice cold drinks and that counts for a lot.”

“A big SHOUT OUT to "Toni" in the pharmacy for making switching my meds from Rite Aid ( closing?)over to the Kroger pharmacy! She went above and beyond searching for a certain med my autistic son takes and scored! There really needs to be more "Toni's" out there who are compassionate enough to go the distance, unfortunately not so much with Meijers.

“This place has super friendly staff. My car croaked during my 70 mile commute home and I was able to get it into the parking lot at this DG. The staff were super friendly and didn't hassle me about popping the hood and waiting a few hours for a tow. The gentleman working on 7/17/24 in the evening/afternoon was extremely friendly, kind and definitely an asset for DG. When my wife and kids came to pick me up the young lady working was very kind to them. I wish the DG near me had staff that was this amazing!”
