“I got off a train at night in Battle Creek with the thought that I could get a taxi or an Uber ride. No taxi in sight. The app for Uber and Lyft showed a spinning circle that went on forever (there is only one driver in town for Lyft and he works 7 Am until around 7 PM only, no Uber drivers in town). They locked up the station and turned off the lights by 10:30. The station manager was kind enought to give me the number for Greg's Car Service. Because Greg's is contracted to give priority to medical transportation I had to wait over at the BP gas station (locked doors) for about 2 hours. I met a couple homeless people there and fortunately they were friendly. I was delighted when the Greg's driver showed up and I hadn't been mugged. They were able to offer me a local ride (not to Lansing as I had hoped) due to their medical ride business. Greg's was a Godsend being the only ride in the whole area. Otherwise I would have been left standing outside the BP station until AM or walking a couple hours to the hotel. Again I am very glad for Greg's.”

“I’m in the Portage/Kalamazoo area. My health insurance company provides transportation thru Modivcare, who evidently subcontracted my ride to Alpha Medical Transit Inc. in Battle Creek. My outpatient surgery was scheduled almost two months ahead, so I scheduled my ride online with Modivcare several weeks in advance, providing a lot of detail. My driver, a man named Cecil Woodruff, called me the night before and reviewed everything with me, and gave me his cell number. He was very professional and his call made me feel less stressed! He picked me up at the agreed-upon time and took me to the surgery facility. When I was in recovery, the nurse called Cecil and told him when I would be discharged, and Cecil picked me up at the correct time and took me home. It was obvious to me that Cecil is a conscientious, competent, and caring individual, so my overall experience with this transportation was very good!”
