“We can’t say enough good things about The Daxton Hotel! They hosted our welcome party to kick off our wedding weekend, and it truly set the most incredible tone for the entire celebration. The space itself was stunning, stylish, and had the absolute best vibe for welcoming our guests.
A huge part of why the night was such a massive success was Jennifer Suchocki. Jennifer coordinated every single detail leading up to and during the event, ensuring everything ran effortlessly from start to finish. On a weekend where there are so many moving parts, having someone as organized, attentive, and calm as Jennifer made all the difference. She took care of every little thing so we could actually relax and just enjoy mingling with our friends and family.
The service, the atmosphere, and the entire experience were top-tier. If you’re looking for a gorgeous venue for a welcome party or any wedding weekend event, The Daxton Hotel and Jennifer are the absolute best!”

“I truly enjoyed my stay at the Southfield Hampton Inn! It was very clean with spacious rooms and offered many amenities like fresh coffee and tea, delicious breakfast, outside patio, indoor pool, gym, and other seating areas for working, eating, relaxing, etc. The staff was incredible, friendly and always aiming for guest satisfaction. I did not want to leave my cozy king size bed (lol) and will definitely be back. Thank you for a joyful visit!”

“I’ve stayed at a lot of properties over the years, and while clean rooms and comfortable beds are expected, what separates an average hotel from one you genuinely look forward to returning to is the people. The Detroit Marriott Southfield gets that right.
The rooms have always been clean, well\-maintained, and the beds are consistently comfortable. The same-day laundry service has honestly been a game changer for someone traveling on business for extended stay.
But the real reason I’ll keep coming back is the staff.
Jade at the front desk deserves special recognition. She is, without question, one of the best hospitality professionals I’ve ever encountered. Friendly, professional, proactive, and genuinely invested in making guests feel welcome, she sets the standard for what exceptional customer service should look like.
Jordan in Guest Services is another standout who consistently makes every interaction easy and enjoyable.
A huge thank you as well to Greg and the entire housekeeping team for keeping everything spotless, Diamond and Latasha in the bar for making evenings enjoyable after long workdays, Whitney for expertly coordinating large events, and Mr. Darrell, who is always dependable, punctual, and a pleasure to see.
Could I nitpick? Sure. I’d love to see better coffee, but that is easy to overlook when you’re surrounded by people who genuinely care about doing their jobs well and making guests feel valued.
At the end of the day, hotels are buildings. It’s the people inside them who create the experience. This team has turned a place to stay into a place I genuinely enjoy coming back to.

“Usually where we stay. Indoor Pool. Clean rooms, good breakfast. Only reason for 4 stars is the hot water for tea is ALWAYS out. I just don’t experience that at other Hilton Properties. Whenever we ask about it staff seems surprised. I’m not…Stayed there 4 times always the same. Smh!”

“Came back home for my mother's 81st bday party. Brought the entire family and needed space for the 4 of us. The manager put us in a larger room and made sure we were well taken care of. Extra towels were needed and they were to us in about 7 minutes.
Although I had to drive back into the city for my events, my stay was peaceful and quiet.
I will be staying here from now on when I come back home to visit.”
“We stayed at the Homewood Suites in Troy and had a very positive experience. The hotel is very well located in a practical and safe area, with Walmart, Dollar Tree, and Marshalls literally right next door.
The room is very spacious and comfortable, especially for a longer stay, and the kitchen is very well equipped with great utensils and everything working perfectly. That really made a difference for us during the trip.
We would also like to especially recognize the housekeeper Jose, who was extremely helpful, kind, and attentive throughout our stay. He was always very friendly and thoughtful, and truly made our experience at the hotel even better.”

“I stayed at the Extended Stay in Madison Heights for three nights over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised by the quality for the price. While the hotel is older, everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The hallways were always quiet, which made for a peaceful stay. Every staff member I interacted with was polite, professional, and friendly.
The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the air conditioning kept the room perfectly cool. I appreciated having a kitchen in the room, and the front desk provided dishes and silverware upon request. The grab-and-go breakfast was simple but satisfying, with delicious coffee, a muffin, and a breakfast bar.
The location is convenient to the interstate, making it easy to get around, and parking was hassle-free. Overall, a great value and a comfortable stay — I would definitely return.”

“The room overall was a good experience. It stayed a bit stuffy/warm even turning the air on. We stayed on the 2nd floor.
Biggest reason for the review was Karen. She was soo hospitable. What’s sad is that’s really rare these days. She helped make our stay wonderful. There was also a night attendant that followed her shift and my interaction was brief with them. They were very kind as well. If this is a reflection of most of the staff, this location should count themselves fortunate.
Another note the pool and hot tub were great as well!”
“May 2026: Good price for what we needed. Small indoor pool which was nice for the kids. One door to the pool did not lock which could be a safety risk for kids.
The rooms were clean and good sized but could use some retouching. Small things like lamp shades with little heat marks, carpet is worn and stain in some places.
Service seems to depend on who is at the desk. There were two employees yesterday. One was super friendly and helpful with issues, the other wasn't necessarily rude but you could tell she was annoyed having to answer any questions or get items.
The TV in our original room did not work. After a couple of attempts they moved us to a different room.
Small refrigerators in each room and our second room also had a microwave. Coffee makers in each room.”

After I had a zigzag in my schedule, the management team worked with me to accommodate my unexpected change.
