I was told they're a little short handed right now but I can tell they're really doin the best they can. They folks working now really make you feel welcomed that’s a big difference from who was there before that's something you don't find everywhere now a days.”

“I cannot say enough good things. This is BY FAR the cleanest thrift store I’ve ever been to. There were a lot of staff (all very friendly), the racks were immaculately neat and easy to shop and the offer I got for what I was selling was very fair! The product is fairly priced and they have a wide range of brands from designer to budget. I only stopped in because I had a frustrating selling experience at a nearby Plato’s Closet and came here since I noticed it was close by. I don’t know why I haven’t been going here all along! I have definitely been converted to become an Uptown Cheapskate loyalist. I’ll be coming back again and again!”

“I’ve loved Thrift Depot since day one and am so grateful to have this little shop in our town. It may be small but so many of my most loved thrifted items are from this shop. The prices are GOOD compared to most bigger chain resale stores where prices have skyrocketed over the last handful of years. They are always so pleasant and friendly in the shop, it’s organized and clean and always stocked. The folks who run the place are never sitting still. You can tell they love what they do and our community loves them back. If you live in Ypsi or are visiting definitely pop in!”

“Best thrift shop ever. Great experience donating here. Items priced for quick sale. Awesome place to donate and pickup high quality clothing, shoes, home goods. No tariffs! The staff is very caring and will take your items and treat you and your items with respect. This thrift receives high end items and the store is setup like shopping high end stores likes Macies, Hudsons, Bronners Christmas stores. The best thing is all personnel are volunteers, and proceeds to go food banks, housing and other non-profits like Crossroads in Detroit.”

There is something deeply nostalgic about walking into a place filled with items that have already lived through stories, travelled through different homes, and somehow found their way here, waiting to begin a new journey with someone else. The two volunteers at the counter were so knowledgeable and kind, and I appreciated the newspaper clippings on the walls that reminded me this was not just an ordinary shop, but part of a real community initiative. Being located near the library made it even more special. Such a cute little building with so much character, history, and heart.”

“Staff is amazing here! Such a lovely location for that reason alone! Pricing is fair most of the time and while the location isn't huge, they still have interesting items that change out often! The line can get a bit long especially on busy days or sale days. However later in the evening on weekdays I find it to not be that bad.”
