My recent trip to Big Lots was a delightful surprise. Stepping into the store, I was greeted by a treasure trove of discounted merchandise, offering a refreshing alternative to big-box stores.

They offered a surprising variety of furniture pieces at competitive prices, making it a great option for budget-conscious shoppers like myself. The quality seemed decent for the price point, and it felt like a place where you could score a hidden gem with a little browsing.
But what truly elevated my Big Lots experience was the exceptional customer service. The cashier, who I believe was new based on her name tag, was incredibly friendly and informative. She patiently walked me through the rewards program signup process, explaining the benefits in a clear and concise manner. Her positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile made a lasting impression.
Overall, my visit to Big Lots was a thoroughly positive one. It's a store that offers a unique shopping experience, combining great deals on various merchandise with friendly and helpful staff. If you're looking for a treasure hunt-style shopping trip with the potential to find hidden gems at affordable prices, Big Lots is definitely worth checking out.
Negative update: I did get a copy of a Blu Ray that was supposed to be a double feature but was sold with a 6 year old Digital Code and made it no good. The company didn't want to do anything to fix the issue with the code tho. I'd return it if I didn't want the disc that came with it but paid for two movies and only got one”
“Wayyyyyyy better than the Michigan center one. The one in Michigan center is a dump with no air conditioning and falling apart building and shelves. This one is clean, well stocked and has AC lol. And is near the Michigan center one. Might as well close the one in center and expand this one into a dollar general market like the one in Marshall.”

“I was in the south side DG this afternoon (2/6/24) and whoever the young man working the register was deserves a promotion immediately. Wish I had caught his name, but he had excellent customer service skills, and just had that positive energy. Give him a raise and promotion immediately! I would return to this location just for the vibes.”
“New manager!! Staff acts way better, store looks way cleaner, I was driving to ann arbor road because center was wrecked, but now it's way better in center.. if you left like I did, try it again, trust me, new manager is awesome!!”
“We always get great customer service here. Jessica Freeman always goes out of her way to be extra helpful. Even though she is usually busy doing some task at that store she always stops and waits on us with a smile. We appreciate the staff here.”
“Since the remodel, it is very cramped and it difficult to find what you’re looking for. There are also a lot of carts and broken down boxes in the middle of a few aisles which make it even more difficult to navigate around the store. Other than that, I’ve been coming here since it was built and it’s very convenient”
“They had the items that I wanted. Sadly, the refrigerated display for fruits and vegetables was out of order and empty. I hope that it gets fixed soon since we have no local grocery store.”

“Not every dollar general is the same. I will say that have more on the shelves than others do. The bigger ones have more items than the smaller ones but prices are the same. The staff is still the same nice and helpful.”
“Nice to have around for convenience. However this location should have 2 people running the registers at all time. There seems to always be a line at checkout. Plan on adding an extra 10-15 minutes of waiting to be checked out.”
“DG's are fairly interchangeable. This offers almost everything that any other DG offers with one big exception, they don't sell alcohol. So I am giving them an extra star for not having that garbage domestic beer advertised all over the building.
Never had a bad interaction with the staff. Relatively clean and stocked. If you need to grab some necessities quickly it's one of the better DG's in the area.”
“Absolutely love this place I have gotten so many sale deals I remember my own home just best shopping at Dollar General I spend so much money here I pay for rent those each month everything hours of Dollar General Rocks.I rate this place a 5 star also recommend anybody want to save money.”
