“I’ve been shopping at Big Lots for at least 10 years and this was probably the best experience I’ve ever had at one. I bought several pieces of furniture and ended up getting the best deal I could find anywhere in the state. The store manager and everyone there were really helpful getting the whole order put together. Tristan was especially helpful. I called the store several times with questions about measurements and he took the time to measure everything for me so I could make sure it would fit properly in my house. He also helped me load everything up when I picked it up. Everyone was friendly and easy to deal with and I really appreciated all the help. Definitely recommend the Shelby Township store.”

“This is one of the most nicely stocked dollar trees that I have been to in south eastern Michigan. Very neat very clean. Very nice customer service. All except for the manager who is currently on duty Friday, June 21 at 2:30 PM. She rudely bumped into the cash register lady who was servicing me , trying to reach for something, then went onto accuse me of tearing a tag off of a five dollar beach towel as if I was going to get it for one dollar, my whole total was $80 with other five dollars items included , ma’am nothing about me would ever have to do that. The way she talked to other people was rude. I hope corporate sees this message and she is reprimanded. Do better maam”

“I would just love to start by saying how much I love Five Below! It’s one of my twin girls’ and my favorite stores. I live just down the street from the location on 8 Mile and Woodward, and every time I visit, Markus the manager is so welcoming and efficient. He’s always incredibly helpful with inventory, answers any questions I have, and genuinely makes every shopping experience enjoyable. It’s rare to find someone who takes such pride in their work and consistently provides outstanding customer service. Markus is a huge asset to the store, and I wanted to make sure his hard work and kindness didn’t go unnoticed. Thank you for always making our visits such a positive experience!”

“My family and I moved to this area because of the Mormon community. We needed some basic essentials and came upon this dollar center, let me tell you this dollar center is anything but basic . Immediately upon walking in a nice young man named joni greeted us immediately. He confidently & diligently walked us around the store, isle by isle, step by step, item by item. We got there at 11:30 & didn’t leave till around 4:30pm. We purchased so so many amazingly priced products & only spent 744 dollars, I know for a fact if we purchased the same products at Sam’s club or target it would have been at around 800 dollars. God bless you joni, thank you for everything you did for my Mormon family.”

A gift section and so much more. If you've never been there and you like to shop and find a great price make sure you have some time to spend.”

“Great store, my main issue is actually probably with the plaza. I saw this place gets pretty busy during some weekday hours, and there were a lot of bikes around the front, in fact, the employees specifically addressed this because they were in the way. Really, I think they could just use a bike rack, and maybe an exterior bench. As someone who frequently takes my e-bike, there isn’t a good place to lock it up in the area.”

The staff is what really makes this location stand out. Everyone is so kind, professional, and genuinely pleasant every time I visit. Great customer service is hard to find these days, and this team consistently goes above and beyond. I absolutely love this store. Keep up the amazing work—you’ve built something special!”

Surprising to see some new things like a ratcheting screwdriver for $3 that can be found at other retail stores for 4x the cost. Some items are $1.50 now, however, this also reflects quantity and size of the products and still a good value.”

I do shop here for other basic needs such as paper towels, toilet papers, milk and baby diapers if I don’t feel like going to Meijer’s.”
