I trust Dr. Shrier with all the pets I have had. She is intelligent, warm and caring and explains everything with patience and answers all of our many questions. She has talked me through everything from puppy and kitten problems for all of our rescues, to giving me sympathy and a hug when it was time for each of my fabulous 4 to cross the rainbow bridge. Now we will happily be using VetSelect again while raising our newest sweet and silly rescue yorkie named Josie.”

My cat recently suffered from a sudden, life-threatening urinary obstruction, which was one of the scariest situations I've ever faced as a pet owner. “Our dog was very very sick. We had 4 vets from a different vet practice tell us there was nothing left to do to save her. During this very difficult time Dr. John returned my call and shared that he wanted to help. Not only did he make our dog comfortable that night (after hours) by calling in medication, he followed up for the days on his own time. He truly saved her life when multiple other vets gave up way too soon. I have never seen a vet office with such compassion and dedication to sick animals. They truly care and go out of their way to help. My dog went from having a scheduled appointment to put her to sleep to feeling the best she has felt in years. She is happy and doing so well. I am forever grateful for west Woodward animal clinic and highly recommend them! They answered every single question and explained all outcomes. They were realistic with her possible prognosis but worked so hard to make our dog better. They also have very fair prices and in no way try to scam or do unnecessary testing to make money.”
“The building was clearly identified and easy to park at, the waiting room was clean and large with friendly staff. We were brought into a room quickly when the receptionist noticed our dog was nervous so we could wait there instead. “We have always had nothing but amazing experiences with this team, but today topped the cake. We got our cat bloodwork done at her annual visit last week and thought everything would be fine. Unfortunately the vet called us to let us know she's having some early kidney issues. Instead of just giving me the treatment recommendation and moving on, the doctor sat with me on the phone for over 20 minutes walking me through all the options, giving me honest opinions like what she would do for her own cat, and answering all my questions. I walked away from the call obviously scared and sad but also confident in the plan. It was exceptional care and understanding that you can only get from a vet and team that truly cares”

The new receptionist is very slow acting as if she cannot hear but repeating every question stated people like this mess up business being unusually strange. I can tell when a person genuinely cannot hear & when they are playing stupid. Hopefully nobody else has to go through this with India as it’s very unprofessional.

“I have been going here for 50 years. The staff are amazing and take such great care of all our animals. Dr Schollenberger is an excellent vet and is very knowledgeable. I have several animals with complex problems and he has figured them out without a lot of extensive testing. They are so compassionate and caring.”

“We had such a great experience here! My normal veterinarian was hesitant to operate on my dog’s tail due to her age. But I knew she was uncomfortable. I contacted Northwest Animal Hospital and their can-do atitude was awesome and refreshing. They got her in quickly, fixed her right up, and she was feeling better almost immediately. We are both so grateful for the care she received. Oh their pricing very extremely fair!! The whole experience was perfect.”

My dog is an absolute terror to take to to see the vet.
In any other situation he is a social butterfly, loving kids and animals..... but at the vet he smells all the stress hormones in the air and acts like he's been lowered into a pit for a life and death battle. Totally embarrassing.
VCA Beech is so tolerant and understanding of his behavior - you can tell that they really care about their patients.
They also have a pretty good system where instead of waiting in the waiting room, you wait in your car and they come out to get you when it's your turn. Again, this seems much less stressful for the animals.

“After more than 11 years, I’ll be completely honest... I was ready to leave Southpoint Veterinary Hospital. There was a point where I was seriously considering looking somewhere else for my pets. Yesterday changed everything. My experience with Dr. Wess and the care he gave Debo and Naudia reminded me why having the right veterinarian matters so much. He took the time to truly listen, explain everything, answer my questions, and make sure I understood not only their care during the visit, but what they needed afterward. Debo and Naudia couldn’t be happier or healthier, and seeing how genuinely Dr. Wess cares about their quality of life meant more to me than I can put into words.
What really touched me is that Dr. Wess doesn’t just see an animal as a patient. He understands that there is a person sitting right beside that animal who loves them deeply and trusts him with a member of their family. He cares about the entire experience, from the moment you walk through the door to the care and reassurance you receive afterward. After 11 years, yesterday completely changed the way I feel, and I walked out feeling genuinely grateful that I had the opportunity to experience that level of compassion. I truly believe every animal and every person who walks through his door deserves to feel the same way. Dr. Wess won my heart yesterday, and I’m genuinely thankful for the care he gave Debo and Naudia.”

“Me and my sweet pea drive from Detroit to visit Southgate Animal Hospital because the staff is so kind and the care is excellent. I have been bringing multiple pets here for years and have always been met with lots of compassion.
I was sitting in the lobby yesterday and listening to Frankie interact with everyone so kindly in person and over the phone. She was calling everyones pet a sweet angel. Her positivity and warmth is radiant and infectious and I hope she knows how much of an impact she is having on the patients around her. Especially in an environment that can stir up lots of anxiety for people.
I called to thank her and ended up speaking to her mom, Rita, only to find out she is radiating love and kindness in the same way, and that it runs in the family!
Ernie recently saw Dr. Sapra and he was patient, attentive, did not rush at all, and took the time to explain to me what was going on and allowed me to ask lots of questions. The nurses, I did not get their names, were also so nice and gentle.

“Did not go in person. Make a phone call asking questions about adoption. The person I spoke with was very helpful. All animals there have been fixed and received there shots before the adoption takes place. They appreciate any donations and supplies and might be open to people volunteering. They have a great website. Take a look to see who is a available for adoption and gave them a new and loving home . All animals would love a loving family an be told they are loved. Open your heart . I have 5 kitties and 3 of them are rescues. ❤ ?⬛?????❤”
“My beardie wasn't acting like himself so I scheduled him an appointment. The staff was really good with him even though he had a little attitude & acted more like a dog. He was tryna be a biter, luckily they did extremely with all his attitude and gave him the care he needed. Kinda pricey from the last vet he went to but it beat the 30 min drive to Ann Arbor.”

“I had taken my cat here for several years. Dr Crawshaw and Dr Poindexter and all the staff are very friendly and attentive. The last year of my old boys life we were there monthly for Solensia injections, they were always great with him and were there for us at the very end. They also offer boarding and grooming on site.”

“I drive out of my way to continue to come here after relocating. I have been with Dr. Good since the early 90s and continued after her retirement. After trying different vets closer to where I moved, they just weren't giving my babies the same care as DFPC so I came back "home" where I never doubt they put my pets care first. My cat Alley has an autoimmune disease that only this staff identified correctly and treat accordingly. No one else could figure it out. They took the time to research it and find the best treatment options. I'm forever grateful ❤️”
