“The staff was polite, but the overall experience could definitely be improved. The store itself feels old and is in need of a thorough cleaning and facelift.; it would make the entire facility feel much more welcoming.
I stopped in to have a very slow tire leak repaired. During the initial walk-around, the salesperson specifically commented that my newer tires looked great and had plenty of tread life remaining. Despite that, I was then given what felt like a lengthy, very rehearsed sales pitch that really wasn’t relevant to why I was there.
I had already purchased Discount Tire’s add-on tire service package for tires that weren’t originally purchased there, so I was simply there to have the leak repaired under that coverage. I understand offering additional products or services when appropriate, but in this situation, the sales pitch felt unnecessary and was a waste of my time.
A cleaner, updated facility and a more customer-specific approach rather than a standard scripted sales presentation would make for a much better experience.
UPDATE: I appreciate the personal response and action from Discount Tire in Okemos.”

“I have brought my cars here for years and won't go anywhere else. It all started when I stopped by with my Mom on a rainy day with a tire that was low. I had never been here before and they filled the tire, in the rain, for free and without hesitation. My Mom got to stay warm and dry in the car the whole time.
They are honest, up front and trustworthy. To be honest, as a woman, that is hard to find. They always tell me what must be done and what needs to happen in the future but it's safe now. If I even have a slight look on my face, they will take me back and show me. They never talk down to me or over my head. This is truly one of the best shops I have been to in the US!”

Another place told us a tire on one of our vehicles needed to be fully replaced; these guys took a look and were able to repair it instead, saving us a good chunk of money. They’ve also patched up a flat on our lawnmower tire, no job too small. All for very competitive and fair prices.

“I was traveling on Memorial Day and noticed that I had a tire with some metal wire showing on the inside wall, I stopped at a few places but most were closed and others said they couldn’t get it in today. I stopped at BJs about an hour before closing and although they were done taking in cars for the day, Bud, the supervisor was talking to me and went out to look at the tire, he said he would stay late if he needed to take care of the problem and put new sets on, I bought all 4 tires and they did a fantastic job!!! “I pulled into Belle Tire Frandor at 7:50pm tonight, 10 minutes before they closed. My car was shaking so bad I wasn't going to make it home 45 minutes away without a blowout. I was greeted by Alfredo who listened to me without any sign of annoyance (although I wouldn't blame him for feeling that, they were minutes from closing). He looked over my tires and confirmed a broken belt and showed me the damage it had done (I definitely wouldn't have made it, IMO, although he was too much of a professional to say that). Alfredo and Alex reviewed the short-term solutions to get me home tonight and then options for the long-term. Then Alfredo replaced the one tire while Alex helped me with financing, made sure the remaining three tires were accessible and got me set for having them replaced tomorrow. By the time Alex and I were done, my car was ready and Alfredo had also balanced the air pressures in the other tires and replaced some lug nuts that needed replacing.
I appreciate their professionalism, kindness, Alex's humor, and Alfredo's warmth wholeheartedly, and cannot recommend this team enough. They certainly have my business moving forward!!”

“Hard to get a hold of of on the phone, but is a small shop with only one or two guys working. Said they had the tires for my car and just to swing by. They did have them and installed them right away, even checked the alignment but weren't pushy with any services. Much better tired than what I drove in with.”

“Last week I had such a pleasant oil change experience. I called 40 minutes ahead to make sure oil change services were still available for that day. I pulled in at 4:40 and the man in charge was apologetic that I'd have to wait about an hour for my oil change because the day crew was getting ready to leave (I was already expecting to wait, so this was not bothersome to me at all, but I thought his being apologetic about it was incredibly kind). Then he came in the waiting room to tell me the day crew could change the oil in 15 minutes, so it would be ready sooner than expected. On top of that, one of the crew members who changed my oil rang me up at the register and was so friendly! I figured most people would be disgruntled to do one more job at the end of their shift, but she had a happy demeanor and was very pleasant. I definitely think this crew went above and beyond and I wanted to commend them for their excellent customer service!”

“Was just driving down the road and heard something dragging and my car got very very loud and I came in to do it service center and spoke directly with Dan and he immediately came out to take a look and got my car in and got me going within an hour! The price was very reasonable staff very friendly and they even gave my son a piece of pizza for lunch! Highly recommend!! If I could give them 1 million stars, I would!”
