“This charming gift shop sits right on the main road into Dexter, providing a bit of window shopping, aspirational household imagination, and a fine place to purchase some unique presents for friends and family. Or yourself! No judgment. The shop falls into three main categories:* Furnishings and upholstery, with a broad selection of fabrics and textiles to find your perfect look. I didn't spend much time really examining these options but they had some very lovely, inviting couches and beautiful chairs.* Home decor, with a strong focus on decorative pillows, artwork with a definite sophisticated farm/natural feel, and other elegant decorations that would look lovely on a mantelpiece or a coffee table.* Clothing and jewelry for women, like pretty socks, neutral-hued shirts, flowing skirts, and soft comfy sweaters, and hairclips and earrings that feature a lot of naturalistic and floral motifs. Nothing too crazy, a lot that feels soothing and relaxing. We weren't mobbed when we visited and found it easy to browse. With so much to look at, a visit can take a while. Price points run from $5 to over a thousand for furniture, with many nice gifts in the $25-50 range.”

“We visited our son's new home In Michigan. He took us to Ann Arbor and it is a nice little college town. We visit the Kerrytown Market & Shops. This little mall has the coolest shops and the best one is found gallery. I purchased art supplies including a sketch book of hand made paper. If your visiting Ann Arbor stop by the kerrytown Mall and please visit the found gallery. Oh! wonderful customer service. A Must Visit when in Ann Arbor.”

“It is very quaint, with a lot of really neat things for your home. I purchased four Santa’s, and I’m incredibly pleased with all of them. It’s a very unique little shop, loved it.”

“Quaint shop filled with handmade goods sourced via suppliers and artisans associated with the Fair Trade Federation. Great selection, store is organized and staff and volunteers are friendly. Prices are actually very reasonable given that you’re not shopping mass-produced goods, AND you can feel good about not contributing to capitalist entities. Shop can be easy to miss located next to bigger name brands (Shinola is next door, for example), but it’s squeezed in there on the east side of Main near Shalimar. Pop in and check it out!”

“I was given a gift of one of their windchime/bells, so I looked in on the site to find out the story! Ultra-high quality and heirloom quality craftsmanship! Beautiful clear tone that carries on for a long time--meditative and restful to savor and appreciate! It's much nicer than having a lot of unremarkable tinkling!”

“Call in regularly for wildlife supplies, on our last visit we were helped by a gentleman who helped load our cart and car. Had a good chat and laugh as we were all from out of country and not looking forward to the inclement weather about to hit us. Always friendly at this store and always helpful. Good range of goods and decent prices.”

“Working with Dana was such a wonderful experience! She understood our redesigning goals and style desired and offered beautiful options to work with, from room design, furniture style and materials, fabric colors and textures to make the project planning successful. She was very patient and collaborative. I admire that my needs for style and functionality were harmonized beautifully. “See Conner in the Ann Arbor store. He will hook you up. Made it super easy and was very informative. He let us walk around and didn’t pressure us, but he was always there when we had questions. We will definitely be buying future pieces from him and Bob’s.”

“Such a cute Ann Arbor (hidden?) gem that I will always make a stop at to check out. It's located on the second floor of the Kerrytown Market & Shops. If you're going up the red stairs from the downstairs grocery store/entrance closest to the farmer's market, it'll be the first store on your left past the Kerrytown chime. 16 Hands is just an absolutely wonderful store, stocked to the brim with so many unique goodies and gifts. When I say unique, I mean unique - one of a kind! There are so many things here that I have genuinely never seen anywhere else, and I'm someone who naturally gravitates to tchotchke stores already and would like to think I have seen a vast selection already! There's always something new here each time I go, so I strongly recommend that everyone come and take a lap around this store to see what treasures are lying in wait to be discovered by you. Prices are reasonable and have a great range of options for all kinds of budgets. Highly recommend checking this shop, and frankly all the second floor Kerrytown shops out! 16 Hands is by far my favorite though!”

“I love this store , they have great selections and most of the employees are really awesome. I would give this store five stars but there are..some employees in the store I have issues with. While I was shopping I overheard one of the mangers (Threasa) yelling at an employee on the sales floor. Just ripping into the poor kid and being really nasty. I haven't really stopped in since.i usually like this store alot better because the staff are way nicer than at ypsilanti and it's a smaller store which helps with my anxiety. But after hearing that women just be well... not so nice to her staff. I don't know if I'll shop there while she's in the store.Props to the rest of the employees though. Good luck!!”

“Love the selections that I've been seeing both in the store and on the website. It would be nice to see more items displayed in the store in sizes above a women's large. Sales and discounts also don't always sync up been online and in store. This location is clean and usually pretty neatly organized. Easy to see items on display.”

“Love this store! I love that as a furniture lover I can come here and see amazing pieces that need new homes. There's always something new to look at and the prices reflect the worth and quality of the items they've collected! They've got big and wonderful pieces that other stores just can't carry at the quality that I'm looking for with designs. An upscale Ann Arbor secret for sure!”
