Kelly's Pet Boutique East
3340 E Lake Lansing Rd #4, East LansingI recently had Echo my Golden Retriever groomed by Dannie and it was the best experience ever! This is my 4th Golden and he has a lot of coat and was way overdue for a grooming. Dannie listened to my requests and Echo left with a lot less coat that I will be able to manage but still a nice outline of feathering so he does not look chopped off. I will definitely be returning.

Pet Care

East Lansing Veterinary Clinic
1880 Haslett Rd, East LansingDr. Howe and the rest of the team at ELVC are THE BEST. They’re caring and compassionate and provide excellent veterinary services for four-legged family member. There is no better recommendation we can give other than entrusting our dog's health and welfare to ELVC.

Center for Feline Health & Well-Being
736 Wilson Rd, East Lansing10? The primary care for MSU Veterinary is absolutely amazing! I have one dog who must wear a muzzle and is very nervous around new people. The staff was so patient with her, and took her feelings into account. Dr. Emery and their nurses were so amazing! I have another dog who is a hound who is very noisy and sniffs a lot, and she did perfect with the staff. She was licking them while they gave her a vaccine and everything. They are truly the best who looks out for their patients and clients. I had to put a dog down last year there during Covid and they were so compassionate, even the vet who put her down was crying. I will always take my dogs there as they give the best care.

Eastside Animal Hospital
2643 E Grand River Ave, East LansingMy niece's dog was diagnosed with diabetes. Dr. Seager has gone above and beyond what I have experienced with other veterinary practices to make sure we understand her diet and nedications. Her patience in answering multiple questions is greatly appreciated.

Abbott Road Animal Clinic
6180 Abbot Rd, East LansingTook my dog in to get her an*l glands expressed due to her having chronic issues with it. The team was kind and patient with my dog despite the fact that she is notoriously bad with being handled. I must shout out Jessica for making the whole process as quick and painless for my dog as possible. I don't know what I would do without them. I have other options in terms of vet care but their great care and customer service keeps me coming back. If you want good pet care with kind people who love animals then go to Abbott road.

Michigan State University Veterinary Medical Center
736 Wilson Road, East LansingMy dog was having some trouble so I brought him to MSU from Midland. Great lakes is closer, but even talking to them on the phone they lack empathy and I have heard too many bad stories so I always make the drive to Lansing (always in the evening, and we usually end up staying there for several hours- but for treatment that can't wait until a regular appointment, I am just happy to be able to have my dog seen by competent and caring professionals). He reacted poorly to new people and dogs, so they were kind enough to let us use an empty lobby instead of the general one. It ended up he likely had cancer, I can't remember the type but it was described as generally pretty invasive and likely to come back again and again after treatment. The vets and techs were so kind and answered all my questions. He was laid to rest within a couple weeks of his visit, but I am grateful to MSU emergency vets, techs, and front desk staff for the compassion they showed me and my boy.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

TOASTE
1385 E Grand River Ave, East LansingI didn't know this place has been here so long. I have visited 4+ times the past two weeks. Everything has been very good, the place is very clean, and the staff is direct, nice, and efficient. Very impressive operation. Coffee, sandwiches, and toast are all worth coming independently. Hard to justify going elsewhere for brunch or afternoon coffee.

Curry House Indian & Nepali cuisine
930 Trowbridge Rd, East LansingWe regularly go for chettinadu curries and the samosas. Great every time in person or as delivery. Also the prices are phenomenal, rarely do I eat out for 2 as cheaply as I do here. Short note, curries are high quality and prices are great

Chtoura Mediterranean Grill
4790 Hagadorn Rd Suite 164, East LansingHad dinner here last night and I can’t stop thinking about it! First of all, our waitress, Kira, was amazing. Girl’s girl who supported our random assortment of foods ordered and understood the assignment 🫡 I’m talking - never ending fresh baked bread, food brought out as it’s ready so it’s hot, suggestions for popular and favorite dishes, she was great!
Then let’s talk about the food - THE FOOD WAS STELLAR! Everything I had was phenomenal like really great, obsessed. The Za'tar & Cheese Pie - eat one piece of Za'tar sandwiched with one piece of Cheese - you’re welcome in advance. The chicken soup 😘 the hummus - so delicious! The garlic sauce was a 10/10! The fattoush salad was 🔥 the dressing and freshly grated carrots - pop off! Mixed grill plate - chicken was my fave, the seasoning was delicious and not a piece was left on the plate. Rice… so yummy! Honestly, even the Diet Pepsi was even good and I’m a Diet Coke person.
Restaurant was clean and quiet in a way that supported conversation and didn’t feel weird 🙌
I can’t wait to go back!

Buddies Pub & Grill
3048 E Lake Lansing Rd, East LansingGreat place to watch the World Cup ⚽! We loved the food -- especially the catfish and the German chocolate cake. And we loved the service even more. Alex (Spain game 🇪🇸) was super kind and helpful. Karime (France game 🇫🇷) was very nice too. We can't wait to come back the next time we're in Lansing.

Ellison Brewery and Spirits
4903 Dawn Ave, East LansingWhile recently visiting the East Lansing area, we chose to see what Ellison Brewery had to offer. Goodness! Were we glad we did! From the moment we took our seats at the bar, the sweet barmaid welcomed us with open arms! There was no doubt we were in a good place! Chiara made sure we sampled all the goodness Ellison had to offer! I enjoy an IPA with hoppiness abounding. Chiara patiently poured samples until I found JUST the right one! We actually mixed a couple to her delight! We decided on the pizza to tempt our palettes. From what we saw on other tables, it looked AWFULLY good! We chose the Supreme, which was just delicious. While eating, we observed Chiara mixing drinks. We did not realize Ellison was also distilling! We had the opportunity to taste the whiskey, and gin. Wow! As I told Chiara, my mama would have heartily approved of the gin! A bottle went home with us! This little brewery was just delightful. As I told the gals behind the counter, they certainly made the experience even better! The brewery is fortunate to have their faces to market their brews! Go experience their delight in what they do! You won't be sad!

Barrio - East Lansing
202 Albert Ave, East LansingI've been to several Barrio across the country - Portsmouth, Salem, Lakewood - and this was easily the best experience I've had.
I was visiting my bf from out of town and mentioned what this place is all about ( build your own tacos ) and he was really intrigued. I was hesitant since every experience I've had has resulted in cold, soggy tacos and disappointment... But this place is a crown jewel in the franchise.
Excellent service, decor is unique to the location but in the same signature Barrio style, great food and portions, and the Thai chili tofu was actually crispy for once!
I'm moving to the area in a few months and am excited to visit again. Thanks for a great experience!
