Kelly's Pet Boutique East
3340 E Lake Lansing Rd #4, East LansingI recently had Echo my Golden Retriever groomed by Dannie and it was the best experience ever! This is my 4th Golden and he has a lot of coat and was way overdue for a grooming. Dannie listened to my requests and Echo left with a lot less coat that I will be able to manage but still a nice outline of feathering so he does not look chopped off. I will definitely be returning.

Pet Care

East Lansing Veterinary Clinic
1880 Haslett Rd, East LansingDr. Howe and the rest of the team at ELVC are THE BEST. They’re caring and compassionate and provide excellent veterinary services for four-legged family member. There is no better recommendation we can give other than entrusting our dog's health and welfare to ELVC.

Center for Feline Health & Well-Being
736 Wilson Rd, East Lansing10? The primary care for MSU Veterinary is absolutely amazing! I have one dog who must wear a muzzle and is very nervous around new people. The staff was so patient with her, and took her feelings into account. Dr. Emery and their nurses were so amazing! I have another dog who is a hound who is very noisy and sniffs a lot, and she did perfect with the staff. She was licking them while they gave her a vaccine and everything. They are truly the best who looks out for their patients and clients. I had to put a dog down last year there during Covid and they were so compassionate, even the vet who put her down was crying. I will always take my dogs there as they give the best care.

Abbott Road Animal Clinic
6180 Abbot Rd, East LansingTook my dog in to get her an*l glands expressed due to her having chronic issues with it. The team was kind and patient with my dog despite the fact that she is notoriously bad with being handled. I must shout out Jessica for making the whole process as quick and painless for my dog as possible. I don't know what I would do without them. I have other options in terms of vet care but their great care and customer service keeps me coming back. If you want good pet care with kind people who love animals then go to Abbott road.

Michigan State University Veterinary Medical Center
736 Wilson Road, East LansingMy dog was having some trouble so I brought him to MSU from Midland. Great lakes is closer, but even talking to them on the phone they lack empathy and I have heard too many bad stories so I always make the drive to Lansing (always in the evening, and we usually end up staying there for several hours- but for treatment that can't wait until a regular appointment, I am just happy to be able to have my dog seen by competent and caring professionals). He reacted poorly to new people and dogs, so they were kind enough to let us use an empty lobby instead of the general one. It ended up he likely had cancer, I can't remember the type but it was described as generally pretty invasive and likely to come back again and again after treatment. The vets and techs were so kind and answered all my questions. He was laid to rest within a couple weeks of his visit, but I am grateful to MSU emergency vets, techs, and front desk staff for the compassion they showed me and my boy.

YumYum Bento
1017 E Grand River Ave, East LansingThe first time I ate at YumYum Bento was in August 2024, right about when the students moved back to MSU Campus. The eatery is decorated in a nice, clean white and bamboo tan aesthetic, with a hefty amount of kawai thrown in. Their menu is a nice mixture of different Asian cuisines - Japanese, Korean, and Thai. The first thing I had to try was the spring rolls - fresh, crisp, and delicious. The main entree that even was the Kalbi - nicely prepared, great flavor, and the kimchi goes well with it. I believe I had to get another serving of rice (as I like a lot of rice with my Kalbi). Jump forward to earlier today (January 6, 2026) and I tried the Bulgogi, which actually had slices of carrot and zucchini along with the requisite onion. Again could have sprung for another serving of rice, but I made the one serving last the whole meal. Wonderful garlicy sauce. And the vegetables were a plus to the meal. Both visits, the staff was very friendly. Next time, I should actually try their Bento boxes and boba tea.

Curry House Indian & Nepali cuisine
930 Trowbridge Rd, East LansingThe food was amazing and our server was super sweet. There was a small mistake with an appetizer that she fixed right away and she was kind to our daughter. It would be nice to have a changing table in the men's toilet. Food is worth the wait though!

Grand Grillin
740 W Lake Lansing Rd Suite 100, East LansingOrdered online for pick up and experience was very smooth. Food was excellent and ready when it said it would be. One small complaint is that we ordered house-made chips as a side on 4 of our 5 entrees and only one of our entrees ended up having house made chips, the rest each came with a small bag of plain Lay's chips. I emailed asking why this happened since we all wanted house made chips and not Lays which we can get from the grocery store but haven't gotten a response so that knocks the food and service down just slightly for me. Overall we loved our lunch and will likely be back for more!

Buddies Pub & Grill
3048 E Lake Lansing Rd, East LansingNice little place, I went there on a weekday afternoon for lunch and got a bacon cheeseburger with fries and a glass of water. It was relatively quiet then and had natural light coming in through the windows. For the breakdown of the stars, the food was good but I feel $17 for a burger and fries with no soda drink is a bit high but it is on par in suppose with many places nowadays...but at least dont charge me for the ranch with my fries when ketchup for my burger is free... Service was excellent server Alex was attentive even if I was one of the only people there at a weird time of day. Atmosphere was great with big t.v.s everywhere, Olympic hockey was on when I was there. There are plenty of height chairs for kids, but the men's bathroom doesn't have a changing station for dad's without a woman in their lives. Small critiques to be sure but can add up. Would eat there again. Prettier on the inside than the exterior let's on.

BAPS
340 Albert Ave, East LansingBAPS is easily one of the best Korean BBQ spots in the area. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, and the variety of sides they bring out is honestly amazing. Their kimchi is especially incredible — perfectly flavorful, fresh, and honestly some of the best I’ve had. I also love that they have so many great non-BBQ dishes, so there’s something for everyone. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and all of the waitresses are incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming which makes the whole experience even better. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. Every time I go, the service and food are consistently incredible. Highly recommend if you want delicious food and an all-around great dining experience!

Ellison Brewery and Spirits
4903 Dawn Ave, East LansingWhile recently visiting the East Lansing area, we chose to see what Ellison Brewery had to offer. Goodness! Were we glad we did! From the moment we took our seats at the bar, the sweet barmaid welcomed us with open arms! There was no doubt we were in a good place! Chiara made sure we sampled all the goodness Ellison had to offer! I enjoy an IPA with hoppiness abounding. Chiara patiently poured samples until I found JUST the right one! We actually mixed a couple to her delight! We decided on the pizza to tempt our palettes. From what we saw on other tables, it looked AWFULLY good! We chose the Supreme, which was just delicious. While eating, we observed Chiara mixing drinks. We did not realize Ellison was also distilling! We had the opportunity to taste the whiskey, and gin. Wow! As I told Chiara, my mama would have heartily approved of the gin! A bottle went home with us! This little brewery was just delightful. As I told the gals behind the counter, they certainly made the experience even better! The brewery is fortunate to have their faces to market their brews! Go experience their delight in what they do! You won't be sad!

Barrio - East Lansing
202 Albert Ave, East LansingThe food was absolutely delicious, and every dish was fresh and full of flavor. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. What really stood out, though, was Steele. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. His positive attitude and excellent customer service truly made a difference. It's not often that you come across someone who goes above and beyond to make guests feel valued and appreciated. Thanks to both the amazing food and Steele's outstanding service, this was a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and exceptional hospitality. I look forward to coming back again soon! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
