“STUDIO 126I have visited Studio 126 several times. The artists, Richard Moore and Sebastian Sandu, and their works are impressive.I first became aware of Richard’s work in sculpture when I saw his horses displayed in the Grand River during Art Prize in 2012. I decided then I wanted one of his horses in my yard. After meeting Richard, he worked with me to get the pose that I wanted for the horse, making suggestions and listening carefully to my ideas. He created the horse, delivered it to my home, and positioned it in the back gardens. He definitely went the extra mile. Richard was friendly, easy to work with, and very accommodating. His amazing work sculpted from tree branches has brought acclaims from guests and neighbors alike. Sebastian’s work in oil is captivating. He is equally at home with landscape and portrait and the sense of movement and life is evident. His paintings are standouts. When I commissioned a painting from him, he went to great lengths to discuss the various aspects of it, to carefully understand what I wanted, and to offer his expertise in its composition. He even went so far as to match the colors in the room where it was to be hung within the painting. He brought the painting to my home, and he hung it for me, also going that extra mile. The whole process was inspiring from start to finish as Sebastian’s friendly and analytical nature captured my thoughts and ideas.Their works speak for themselves. A visit to Studio 126 to meet and to see their creations has been a positive and refreshing experience for me.”

“My husband bought a fish piece while we were in Saugatuck for vacation. It was mailed to us- packaged very well. The piece is beautiful! Hoping for a trout to go with my gorgeous bluegill.”

“We have been visiting the art galleries in Douglas and Saugatuck for the last 5 years and the Button Gallery gallery is our favorite. The owner always has time to answer questions and has a joy about him that always makes you feel better after talking to him. The art at the gallery will please many different tastes. We purchased a piece this year, it was reasonably priced and we love it. I can't recommend the gallery enough.”

“This shop in downtown Saugatuck offers a lot of gorgeous art pieces, including sculptures, ceramics, paintings, and more. My favorite item was a painting of a cow with deeply soulful eyes by Christine Marcus Stone. I also loved the uniquely curved, colorful shelves by Dust Furniture. This is a fun place to look around, with a lot of treasures in stock. I'll be sure to return during future visits to the Saugatuck area.”

“My husband and I visited the gallery for the first time for an open house. We were both blown away by the curating. We loved the groupings by color and style, not just by artist. Sculpture, fiber, jewelry, and paintings abound. The flow, texture, and vibe is amazing. There is beauty to be found at all levels and in unexpected placement. The vibe of the gallery and addition of the wine bar is perfect, and so welcoming. Fine Art I Fine Wine.”

“After decades regularly coming to Saugatuck, somehow we'd never made it to the Saugatuck Center for the Arts. It was not from a lack of want, but rather a combo of few different roadblocks: having other things going on when we were in town or not having programming that we were interested in when we were there or just not having anything scheduled at that time full stop. But we finally made it here for a bit this summer and it was as great as expected. First off, I still have not seen a show here, which is a great failing of ours, but we did explore the grounds and the building. It was a Friday afternoon and we were able to enjoy the farmer's and artisan's market going on in the parking lot. It's not a huge market but they do have multiple vendors covering the things you'd go look for--fresh fruits and veggies, eggs, honey and jams, etc. We had a great time checking out the stalls and vendors all nestled in between the beautiful blooming gardens around the building. Afterwards, we head inside the building to check it out. There wasn't much activity but we were lucky enough to see a few artists' gallery showcases which were moving and really engaging. It was an inspiring visit and we've made it our pledge to make sure we get to some performance there this year. I can't wait to see a show there!”

“A gem and an absolute staple if you are visiting Saugatuk. I visited in person and also purchased cards online. The cards shipped within 30 minutes of my order. I also needed some help with my order because I ordered the wrong amount and was able to fix it over email in just a few minutes. Great service and product!”

“The cutest little boutique featuring a tasteful selection of clothing and jewelry, in a mix of timeless elegant classics and interesting eclectic pieces. The staff is very lovely and helpful, and the French owner hand picks the items in stock. I get excited when they get new items.”

“A wonderful shop and experience. Very well curated with so many special things, including vintage jewelry, books, clothing, home wares, food, and drinks. A cooking class was happening while I shopped and it smelled glorious. The shopkeeper shared her favorite spots with me, which was so generous. Loved all of it!”

“We did not check this place out before dropping in. The store is apparently NOT going out of business. One review said they’ve had the sign for 8 years! Not sure how they can advertise that way. Anyway, we bought a few paintings to bring home. After the “discounts”, the prices were reasonable. And they do have plenty of options. Our picks worked out very well. I would recommend.”

“Beautiful gallery with a wife range collection. I have bought multiple pieces from the gallery and have nothing but good things to say.Ignore these stupid one star reviews, all the owners are asking you to do is not park in THEIR parking spots. I don't feel like that's out of line. Most business would just tow you.”
