“I love this store and have consistently gone since they have opened in Ferndale. My kids also love it and have spent many birthday and Christmas bucks there. I have only had positive experiences, I really enjoy shopping around and always find something I end up buying.
A weird experience when we went yesterday for my sons birthday. I think it was weird. The large squishy toys they had were kept behind the register and my son asked for one to purchase. He picked out other items, bought them and the squishy. I went to purchase my stuff and he showed me the squishy, I saw it had white stuff on both ends and glitter on some parts. I asked the employee if he could pick out another one, the employee said they aren't allowed to (ie: allow the customer to choose which squishy. That they're paying for. At a physical retail store). He did attempt to scrape the white stuff off with his nails with no luck. I asked the employee if he could trade it out then for one that didn't look so used. He said he wasn't supposed to, seemed annoyed, but he did trade it out. That one was clean and felt better/not stretched out. So, yeah, not a huge deal but left me with an ick feeling. I'm not sure how strict the policy is for employees to not let customers pick out the behind the counter toys, but feels like it could be relaxed for paying customers.”

“Absolutely love this store! Such a great selection for babies and bigger kids. I have 4 nieces and 2 nephews and ALWAYS find something in here for one or more of them.During quarantine, the owner of the store went above and beyond and locally delivered baby gifts that I needed for remote showers. Customer service is above and beyond - pre and post 2020!!”

“If you're looking for something that your grandmother kept in her kitchen you'll probably find it at Bur-Lers. We went for pet food because they have high-quality bags of dog food, but they have everything from the kitchen to wind chimes. Are you looking for fabric? They have it. Office/school supplies? Yep. Probably my favorite place to go when I'm looking for obscure fun stuff.”

Novelties include fake dog poo, squirting lighters, snapping gum packs, nose and mustache glasses and many more. They have stage magic gear also such as traditional black and white magic wands, trick card decks, trick dominoes, metal rings, books and basic magic sets.”

“I'm extremely lucky to live near a legitimate world class hobby shop like this. No need to scour online for niche items, and if need a paint pot now instead of in a few days, their selection is better than Amazon. Prices are very competitive too, just a great little shop.”

Just picked up another pinball machine today. Have picked up a few others in the past few months from here as well, which totals nine purchased from Big Toys arcade and one slot machine. Everytime I go in to pick up a machine, the store has so much more stuff. The signs are top notch. This is by far the best place for games. Nick, Matt and Mike who works on the machines are the best people to work with. No I have to move my shuffle board game to make more room for pinball machines.

“I had my daughter’s birthday party at the West Bloomfield location, two years ago and it was a hit. I’ve had her attend two camp sessions at the Dearborn location during winter break and she loved both of them. She had plenty of crafts to do and take home, got glitter hairstyles, and make up done. We will always be coming to the Friendship Factory for events!”

“Fun place to play bingo at for sure. Lived-in in this area for 20+ years before moving to Garden City michigan, and I still go back to play with my mom, sister, and friends. Works are awesome. And yes, you can win. I won 3 months or so ago a jackpot, plus a couple of weeks ago my mom won.”

“Popped in here on my lunch break to find some Sonny Angels my daughter asked for for her birthday and found both sets! The store was clean and quiet, and the employee was very polite and helpful. Will definitely be returning with our kiddos in the near future!”

“This Barnes & Noble is located on the Wayne state university campus. As expected in Midtown the parking is street parking. Upon entering the building there is a separate café that is different from the Starbucks café. There is a lot of Wayne State merch. Office supplies were largely marked up. I came mostly for the Barnes & Noble aspect, I was disappointed in the limited selection of books- only 5 to 6 rows of books that were mostly geared towards young adult and fiction. The Starbucks city area was quite large with many students studying it hanging out. I would consider this location if you're already in the area and need a place to get Coffee or do work, but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to check this place out unless you really need to for the bookstore.”

“I came in yesterday after dealing with an unfortunate situation which really had nothing to do with this particular store (so I won’t get into the details) and I just have to say the way the team handled everything completely turned my day around.
Store managers Zander and Ollie went above and beyond in every sense. They were incredibly kind patient and genuinely caring. My kids were starting to get a little antsy and Ollie stepped in without hesitation. She started playing hide and seek with them and even brought out little activities for them to color. She absolutely did not have to do any of that but it speaks volumes about her character. You can tell she truly loves what she does and really cares about making kids happy.
Zander was equally amazing. He was personable understanding and committed to making things right. He made sure we felt heard and taken care of and his positive attitude made a huge difference.
These two are absolute stars and they are a big reason why this location stands out. I am so grateful for the kindness they showed my family and we will definitely be back.”
