“Best international market in the greater Flint area. The owner, Magdy, is an amazing man who sells the best lamb chops and other choice cuts of beef, chicken and turkey, makes homemade pita bread, and is an absolute joy to do business with. Feels like home. So many good things, huge selection of spices, gulab jamun, tahini, semolina, flours of all kinds, fresh meat, fresh pita, you’ll just have to stop in and experience it for yourself. Very clean and very well kept. Definitely try the homemade pita bread and garlic spread. Recently purchased kofta for kabobs and it’s the best! Can’t say enough! Thank you Magdy for all you do.”
“Phenomenal market! I can't believe I've never been here before. We've went to several farmers markets all over looking for particular items that we were unable to find stumbled upon this place and hit the jackpot. They had everything we had been looking for and great prices. Highly recommend this little treasure of a market! Staff was amazing!”
“Great little party store. Lots to get here, even fresh ground beef that is pretty good. My wife and I were camping nearby so we stopped in multiple times. The staff is very friendly. Booze prices are decent, plus some fishing and hunting stuff all the way to guns are sold here.
The fishing room is a bit bare because the person who runs the fishing area isn't there anymore. So I wouldn't expect to get 100% what you're looking for if it's something specific. Like I needed bait bags, none of those. Not really a big deal also.
So all in all a decent place to grab a bite to eat or some camping supplies or a bottle of booze if needed.”

“The air machine says it needs money but if you ask they will just turn it on. Kinda sucks they don't tell me about my fuel points until I tell them how much gas I want though, like extra 20 off a gallon I might have gotten more gas lol. Good people though.”

“Clean, quaint, small-town vibe with the all-inclusive small-town, southern-type-of-hospitality, where you're treated not just like a customer, but a neighbor and friend and not a number in line. The only purpose for removing 1 star was because the products seem to be set at prices that are not suitable for the penny-pincher, bargain shopper, which that's the name of the game when you're in an area that's too far from the bargain bulk grocery stores, so it's expected. Outside of that, it's a very lovely place to shop.”

“My husband and I went here yesterday, we were greeted with a friendly hello, the gentleman assisted us at the meat counter was very helpful and kind. Prices here are very affordable. I will definitely be returning to shop here again. If you never been here, I highly recommend you check it out.”

“Love having this dollar general as my home store. It's always super clean compared to a few others located not too far from my house. I love the new updates with offering fresh fruits and veggies. Living out in Byron we're very limited to what's near if you need to just run up and grab something. Staff is great and always super friendly and helpful. Usually stop in a few times a week and I've yet to have a bad experience.”
“Prices are a little high, but not outrageous, and their "2 for $X" deals on drinks are usually pretty good. Selection is okay, not great, but they have the basics you expect from a small convenience store. Their hours are pretty decent, it's nice to have something open late on this side of town. I will say they have the coldest drinks in town. Shell, Dollar General, and Riverside keep their coolers so warm that it is not nice or refreshing to grab a bottle of water or soda on a hot day because they are basically room temperature. But in my experience, Southside usually has ice cold drinks and that counts for a lot.”

“Store is clean but I wish they had more stock of things. I find myself going to Pierson Road (Flushing) store more because of stock. This store is closer to my home but I only shop here for last minute things that I forgot at the other Kroger.”
“I hadn’t shopped at this store in several months and was amazed by the changes since my last visit! WOW!!! Several months ago, the store was disorganized, and I spent a great deal of time trying to find food that had not expired. Things are significantly different, and I was impressed by the overall appearance of the store, how much cleaner it was, and the ease of being able to find things I was looking for. Thank you so much Dollar General! I will return again soon!”
