“I can’t say enough great things about this vet clinic! East Main Animal Hospital has been my veterinarian for over 10 years, and the staff has always been incredibly friendly, welcoming, helpful, compassionate, and patient every time I walk through the door with my crew of fur babies leading the way. They have taken, and continue to take amazing care of my fur babies (currently 5 dogs and 3 cats) and even remember each of their personalities, quirks, and needs.
The vets and vet techs explain everything clearly, never rush me, and truly go above and beyond to keep my pets comfortable and healthy. They genuinely care about my fur babies, not just treating them. I also appreciate that whenever a procedure is needed, they provide an estimated quote beforehand so there are never any surprises.
I highly recommend East Main Animal Hospital to anyone looking for compassionate, knowledgeable, and reliable care for their pets!”
“We are traveling across the country and our 13-year-old Shih Tzu Missy got sick. We took her to see Dr. Sweeney at Gull Lake Animal Hospital. What a beautiful facility. Monica the tech was very knowledgeable and caring. Dr. Sweeney was quick to diagnose Missy‘s problem. They gave her an IV and treated her with some medicine. Two days later, she’s doing amazing. We highly recommend Dr. Sweeney and this facility!”
“The vet, Dr. Ruey, created the best experience for the hardest circumstance. We had bounced vet to vet trying to help Scarlett (our house cat), and finally stumbled across The Red Barn.
After being pointed every different direction with Scarlett’s health from every other vet Dr. Ruey acted fast working overnight same day on a surgery for Scarlett that she sadly passed away after.
We were greeted with a small casket and the sweetest card with tissues. She was so gentle and caring through the entire process. She loved our cat as if she was her own. We appreciated her effort, love, and care. We will be returning. ♥”
“All the doctors and staff are amazing, kind, supportive, caring, and informative. I have had 4 dogs that I have taken here for their care and I absolutely love the place! My Golden Retriever started having seizures and Dr. Charlie worked with me to figure out a plan for him! My Pitbull well she’s a little tomboy and loves eating anything and everything, she got into something and wasn’t getting better so I took her in and they worked up 2 plans and let me pick which one I could afford and thankfully it has helped her! I would recommend this place 10 out of 10 times!”

“Took my pup to VCA last night and can’t say enough about my experience. Virginia at the check in was so comforting, was extremely empathetic and was great about setting expectations for the visit overall. She recognized when I had a moment of being nervous/emotional before they took my dog back for a procedure and listened/was present in that moment of vulnerability. Our pups are family and she shares the same sentiment. Virginia is an extreme asset to VCA! And thank you to the amazing Doctor and tech for taking care of Hops.”
