“We recently stayed at Postcard Cabin by Marriott (Barber Creek / Grand Junction, Michigan), and while there were aspects of the stay we appreciated, we had a concerning experience that needs attention.
The cabin itself was well-maintained, clean on the surface, and the overall ambiance and facilities were enjoyable. It’s a beautiful property and we truly liked the concept and setup.
However, during our stay, my partner began developing red, itchy spots across his body, which have continued to increase. I also experienced unusual bruising on my leg after the stay. This raised concerns about possible insect bites. We also noticed a couple of small black bugs on the bed, which we removed and discarded immediately. Given that we did not notice mosquitoes during our stay, this has led us to worry that the bites could potentially be from bedbugs or other insects present in the bedding.
This was quite distressing and impacted our overall experience. We recommend that the property conducts a thorough inspection and pest control check, especially of the bedding and sleeping areas, to ensure guest safety and comfort.
We hope this feedback is taken seriously, as the property has great potential, but guest health and hygiene should be a top priority.”
