“Took a few pieces in to have work done and the quality of the work shows how skilled he is at what he does. I had my wedding ring resized and my wife's engagement and wedding ring soldered together and it was all done in a few hours.
Now my ring fits and you can't even tell that my wife's two rings are joined together. And they were both cleaned and looking better than new when I got them back.
I also brought in an anniversary gift for my wife that was slightly bent and he fixed it really quick and without charging me for it.
Overall it was a very good experience and I will be coming back and telling everyone I know where to go for their jewelry needs.”

Jennifer and the team at The Alteration Shoppe have something rare: a culture that is genuinely welcoming, relaxed, and laid back, paired with a product that is premium, top-notch work. That combination is harder to find than you'd think. Most places that do quality work carry an air of stuffiness to go with it. Not here.
As an African-American man, I don't always feel welcome walking into certain establishments - and that matters when you're trusting someone with your wardrobe. From the first visit, Jennifer's shop felt welcoming. Nobody makes you feel like you're imposing. It's warm, it's easy, and they take good care of you.
The work itself is excellent. I've had suit trousers altered, a sweat patch removed from a jacket, hems done, and waist adjustments — and every piece came back looking like it was made that way. Yes, the pricing reflects the quality (men's trouser waist alteration runs around $40), but after seeing the results, it's worth it.
What I especially appreciate is that Jennifer and her team will give you their honest opinion if you ask for it. That's rare. Most tailors just do the work and send you on your way. Here, you're getting someone with real expertise — Jennifer has consulted for fashion companies in and has shown at New York Fashion Week. Her main clientele is brides, so she works at a high standard every single day.
On my last visit, I had two more pants altered - hem and waist - and sipped a glass Chardonnay while I waited. That's the experience. Laid back atmosphere, premium results.
If you want quality alterations from people who know what they're doing and actually make you feel welcome — this is your place.”
