“Usually have what I need and the savings are pretty significant to bigger chains. There is almost a $15.00 difference in the cost of the dog food I use. There is a good selection of toys and treats here at reasonable prices too. Its usually my pet supply go to store.”

“My husband bought some dog food from the other K9 because what our dog usually ate, they didn't have any more at that location. We had to end up taking it back because the dog wouldn't eat it. So we brought it here and we were able to exchange it for her regular brand without a lot of hassle. The customer service is always great at both locations.”
“It was our baby Thor's 2nd birthday with us and GP is the area his mommy works at; so we decided to stop by and see if we could find a birthday cake for his special day. Lisa the owner was so pleasing as she explained that her cakes needed to be ordered but she did have cupcakes available. We bought a few of the birthday cupcakes and Thor loved them! “I went Beste's to get some rocks and dirt delivered to my home. The guys at the service desk were great; the elderly gentlemen (I unfortunately didnt get his name) was very informative and knew exactly what I needed as I described my project.
Ross, the delivery driver is AWESOME! ??✨️. He is both kind and knowledgeable! For these reasons, I highly recommend this business. This is now my go-to place for landscaping supplies. Btw, thank you for hiring a man like Ross, he is definitely an asset to your company! ?

“I love Pet Valu! I just wish they carried more the extra large dogs! It's hard to find a good leash or collar. My guy has grown so fast! He's happy when we go and get a cookie! Good stuff!”
“My 8yr old pug has been battling skin issues for over 3 years and we explored many options with numerous vets. It was costly and every intervention failed (I can only imagine the damage to his organs it all has done)! Not once did raw diet come up when seeing the vets. I finally got sick and tired and looked into natural remedies and took my pugs health into my own hands. We found many raves about raw food diet, and Hungry Pooch came into our lives last week. We were greeted by Ava and our transition to a raw diet began! In the matter of a week, I have seen more progress than I have in 3 years. His skin has improved drastically! The girls at Hungry Pooch are so knowledgeable and truly care about your furbabies. Tia and Ava have went above and beyond all my expectations. You can either pay for your pets health, or pay for their illness. Im now going to pay for my pugs health and see him thriving in his golden years!”
“My preference with Pet Valu is because they have Canadian made products & more than the other pet store chain (who I will not name) since I refuse to go there since all they sell is cheap Chinese made products ... anyway back to why I prefer Pet valu, they have a pet wash station!!
They have 2 stations at the store I go to & the cost is anywhere from $15 (when they have a special running) to the Regular price of $20 + tax and after so many washes, I think it's 10, you get one free but don't quote me on the amount because I can't remember.
Regardless, it's a GREAT deal. They provide everything, You just have to get your fur kid in the actual wash station lol after that, they provide shampoo, towels, dryers & most importantly, the clean up & you dont have to lean over the tub straining your back! It's truly a lifesaver if you have back issues.
They also allow you to bring your pet with you into the store, so when you're shopping for something specific, it's helpful when they are able to see the size of your dog or a cat, or whatever pet you have ... anyway, I can't say enough Good things about this place, the staff are always SO friendly & helpful & I'll continue going there to get my fur kid her canadian made treats for her bath because of the ease in doing so & no mess or fuss!”
“Great place! Bought my vaccinations and dewormer from the K9 Detroit location on Gratiot at 10am 2/3/24 . The nice young lady a formal Veterinarian Technician working there gave my three Pomeranians their shots and properly recorded it on their vaccination records with the next scheduled date as a reminder. It’s like she better than going to the veterinarian to get it done. Professional, kind and gentle. The most affordable alternative three vaccinations that covered 5 different diseases and a box of liquid dewormer (120cc) with the nice young lady administering the vaccinations to two puppies and one adult Pom for only $65 dollars!!! I live in Sterling Heights and there is no pet supply businesses anywhere that offer that unique service. Thank you Detroit K9 Gratiot east side location.”

His knowledge and dedication is unmatched. My only gripe is how expensive they can be. If I’m just grabbing average pet food then it seems to be cheaper at your Meijer/wal-mart/ etc. Their brand cat litter is pretty damn good for how cheap it is tho.”

“My daughter and I and my wife have taken and bought many fish from the store we run a plant life filtration system versus a carbon filtration but we find that we enjoy the fish from this store they taken have long life spans and they enjoy our fish tanks fairly well one of the things that I've put in our tank is a philodendron and one of my Japanese algae eaters has decided that it is a hammock for him but that's part of what makes him special is his personality”
