βI went in with a friend last week and loved this place. I could have talked with Rich all day. I bought a couple of books on his recommendation and was not disappointed. I'm hoping to do some trade in the near future. Thanks Rich!
Update: Went to a small music event on Sunday Nov 9th at Lo& Behold, Rich did a set (acoustic) and so did a few others before the Plainsmen played.
Great night, good music, good people.
Rich please consider doing more of these events.β

βGreat little house made into a bookstore in Windsor. I didnβt think they would have one in this town but they do. Itβs not quite John K King in Detroit but it has very good selection and reasonably priced secondhand. Roger the owner was very friendly and had some really great recommendations too! I got a couple to take with me. Excellent place in a town that doesnβt have a lot to offer.β
βToadvine is, without a doubt, my wifeβs and my absolute favorite literary sanctuary. It might not be the biggest shop, but it is absolutely packed to the rafters with a staggering wealth of fantasy novels and vintage treasures.
βI could easily spend hours getting lost in its cozy rows, completely losing track of time much like the hours spent immersed in the pages of our favorite worlds. Finding this place feels like discovering a secret, perfectly preserved wing of the Great Library. A truly magical little spot!
βTip: Every single shelf is a treasure troveβyou might just find a hidden gem that looks like it was cataloged by Astinus himself.β
βGreat community minded bookstore. amazing book selection -- they always have the obscure book I am looking for. also consistently hosts community events to support neighbors. i haven't been in the basement but I've heard that's also coolβ
βI took my kid to pick out a book. He quickly found a couple books and was very pleased.
The shop is incredibly pleasant and the employee we spoke with was very friendly.β
βAbsolutely the best book store in Ontario. Great mix of new and used books, great staff picks, and always have rare or niche books that you often can't find anywhere else. Love this placeβ
βThe best customer service and they always have what Iβm looking for! My kids love to go, the staff is very personable and they make every customer feel special.β
βGreat local comic shop. I think they do a great job of trying to get the younger generation / new comers into the hobby. All owners and employees have been nothing but helpful to me.β
βOne of the Nation's Best Bible Book Stores in America, not only did they Sell The Best
Bibles and related Bible Merchandise, they often Prayed for and with customers which
requested prayer.Iam deeply sorry to hear of their closing.
May the Lord lead and keep them in their future endeavors. As we forever know & will believe that Jesus Is Lord forever!β
βDuring covid, I stopped traveling to the bookstore for Beth-Immanuel Church, but I just started up the Sunday school in February. I'm glad Carla at Baker's Bible Bookstore, put together my order and all I had to do is pick it up and pay.β
βLOVE Next Chapter Books, the Morningside community is so lucky to have this bookstore in the neighborhood. A beautifully curated store with a little bit of everything from books (obviously) to fantastic gifts of local candles, soaps, coffee and stickers. A fantastic local authors section is a staple of the store.
The owners are serious readers and are always able to recommend something if you are at a loss. Iβve been to a few of the Wednesday evening book clubs and the discussions are lively and educational.
Anything they donβt have on the shelf they can order for you! Support your local bookstore. ?β

βBy far my most favorite childrenβs bookshop. The best vibes for littles! So many books for all the age groups! Highly recommend! I wish it wasnβt so far from me!β
βLarge selection and good prices! Plus they take Apple Pay! They also have a section full of signed books, I was able to get a signed copy of a Mitch Albom book :)β
βThis is the cutest book store I've been to. Linda was so sweet and welcoming. She has a variety of books and such cozy hobbies and vibes. The perfect little spot. I cannot recommend it enough. I'll definitely be back. ?β
βAllison was very helpful in getting my birthday gift novel, The Missed Connection, which also came with some trinkets. Everything came in the mail in great condition! Will definitely spend my dollars with them in the near future!β
βAbsolutely loved this place! Great curated selection of books across genres; loved that they highlight marginalized authors, as well. Fantastic selection of stickers, journals, pens, bookmarks, and blind dates with a book... No notes on the vibes, can't wait to return!β
βI love shopping here. The best service great products. Serving our community for decades with a smile. If he doesn't have it he will get it for you. Abdul Hamid #1 merchant in Detroitβ
βI live in Lansing and I came down to Detroit for the weekend and I had a blast at Mama Nandi’s spot. I received all the vibes and it was a mature crowd. I never got vibes, knowledge, and culture all in one spot so I’m giving this place a 10/10. As for the owner, very beautiful soul.β
βSaw a sign in a window advertising this place and decided to stop in. I asked for a specific magazine and she pulled it out of her archives for me and sold it to me! I am so excited about it, she really made my day! I highly recommend checking it out.β
βBrilliant, beautiful bookstore. Thank you, C MacNeill, for this gift in Berkley. Highly recommend. Give yourself time to just be and browse. And come back again because time spent browsing in a shop like this is always time well spent.β
βRelevant, organized, welcoming, temperature comfortable, and remote viewing of content optional. Speakers and guest are local and from abroad. Not pressured, come as you are.β
βHidden gem! Great selection of diverse books for children and adults. Black and brown characters! Local authors! Owners are wonderful! You can tell they love what they do.β
βInteresting items. The staff was very welcoming and polite. Loved the variety of the artisan items(except the white sage) but the posters were a nice touch and the place was decorated very intricately with all of the various displays.β
βGreat collection of books. And I don't know her name, but she's your employee who writes horror. Cute girl with the Goth vibes, pretty eyes, and shy smile. I'm a writer, myself, and I enjoyed spending my time talking to her.β
βMayflower Bookstore is truly a gem! I love this bookstore and Robert, and am most thankful for the gift he's given us all. It's not just books he's gifted us with but also his wisdom and music. What a blessing!!! Your money could not be better spent!!!β
βMy place of calm and quite where I find myself. As a book lover, this place is heaven for me. I also bring my kid there as they offer a huge collection. Bit, they can do a little better with discounts more often in a affordable range.β
βThe Proprietress was very nice, personable, courteous, made us feel very comfortable!!! Had so many nice gifts, interesting books, bags, cups and hidden treasures.. I spent over $100!!! You should stop by and patronize this business!!β
βExcellent store and staff. I've been to multiple workshops and readings here and the atmosphere is always welcoming to everyone. It's not the largest store around but, there's a lot of love that goes into it.β
