“My new favorite bookstore. It looks small, but this is definitely a case of "it's bigger on the inside!" Shelves are tall and every square inch is used. The book selection is excellent. There's no chaff or filler anywhere. I have found things at Toadvine that I have literally been seeking for years, not to mention a lot of amazing things I didn't know existed. There are some fascinating rare books in the cases up front, and in the back room is a great selection of YA / children's books and graphic novels. The graphic novel selection includes classics and important works by creators from around the world.The staff is always helpful and welcoming and are great to talk to about books!Prices are quite reasonable. Toadvine also buys books and gives fair trade value for things.Perhaps best of all, Toadvine cares about, and supports, local authors. There are comics and novels by local writers, book editions from local publishers, and they also host author events in the back room. This place is a treasure, so go check it out!”

“The 27th Letter Books store is truly a jewel in the city of Detroit. The store is owned by a married couple that welcome you into their store as if it was their home. Great selection of books and greeting cards. “BAM ! PoW ! WOW ! Amazing comic store located in downtown Windsor . Two floors of comics and fandom , 18 years and counting, great selection of statues and figures including comics of course , 4 stars comes from non wheel chairs accessibility, and the box’s are packed so tight it left me not wanting to fight with the box’s to look so that was a big annoyance, didn’t look nearly as much as I would have hoped due to time and bins being so full .”

“I got a book that was printed entirely upside down, even the cover. When I took it back the clerk kindly pointed out that I was holding it wrong. Boy did I feel stupid!Not sure what the printing press in the window is for. Do they make some of the books they sell?All in all, an interesting store with a nicely curated collection of books. “This place is so cute. I've always thought it would be cool to have a bookstore for just kids, I just wish it was closer to my house. They have so many great books to get little ones and it's a very kid friendly environment. Everything in the bookstore is priced very reasonably too. In the back they have a little cafe that they sell drinks and ice cream. On certain days you can bring your kids in for book readings. Such a genius idea.”

“I donated some books and decided to go in and check out their selection. I ended up leaving with 4 books (1 that I was THIS close to buying on amazon that very morning. Had it in my basket and everything. I walk in and boom first book I see was it in perfect condition for half the price. I was shocked). The setup is nice, genres labeled. Large selection. Library vibes but you get to keep the book. Staff is very friendly, informative, and ready to help with any book need you may have. They know customers names, it was cool to hear as I browsed; the togetherness. I’m now a frequent guest and highly recommend you become one too!”

He had a few things I was looking for but he encouraged me to get to his shop because he said that he would have a lot of it there, (I was searching for a wide variety of 45’s).When I got there he had my list and started his search.
