“Toadvine is, without a doubt, my wife’s and my absolute favorite literary sanctuary. It might not be the biggest shop, but it is absolutely packed to the rafters with a staggering wealth of fantasy novels and vintage treasures. I could easily spend hours getting lost in its cozy rows, completely losing track of time much like the hours spent immersed in the pages of our favorite worlds. Finding this place feels like discovering a secret, perfectly preserved wing of the Great Library. A truly magical little spot! Tip: Every single shelf is a treasure trove—you might just find a hidden gem that looks like it was cataloged by Astinus himself.”

“I live in Lansing and I came down to Detroit for the weekend and I had a blast at Mama Nandi’s spot. I received all the vibes and it was a mature crowd. I never got vibes, knowledge, and culture all in one spot so I’m giving this place a 10/10. As for the owner, very beautiful soul.”

“I would definitely rate more than this. I was in need of quran and thats where I got this store contact. The person from the store helped me a lot in choosing the quran through call, as I couldn't be in person to the store and when I got quran through postal service it was exactly as it was mentioned. The price was very reasonable and I would definitely recommend this store”

“This is a rare and special place with a wonderful selection of literature and nonfiction in Arabic. Samar was so sweet, she took me around the store and found everything I wanted. I studied Arabic previously and my vocabulary is not great, but Samar was so patient and would help translate book titles as needed and explain what different books were about. She had a lot of recommendations and I ended up buying more books than I had expected to! Logistics: I was there at 12 but the store didn't open until 10-15 minutes after. It is unclear how the pricing works as the prices are not listed on the books, but I felt they were fair. There is no comparable bookstore where I live (many states away). This place is truly a gem and very worth a visit. I just wish I had budgeted more time to peruse!”

“Great collection of books. And I don't know her name, but she's your employee who writes horror. Cute girl with the Goth vibes, pretty eyes, and shy smile. I'm a writer, myself, and I enjoyed spending my time talking to her.”
