“The Barnhouse is worth the visit! If you are looking for something to add to a collection, vintage or new, you are sure to find it here! They have everything from the macabre (a porcelain doll arm in a glass casket) to the sweet (vintage lace and quilts). You can get your mudic vibe on with vintage records (when did the 80's become vintage). Have fun walking through the many rooms with your complementary coffee and candy!”
“I enjoyed working with this business! Its amazing what a person can create with fabric and tools, and its nice when the big name stores dont have that exact color or design you're looking for, Breads & Threads will make it happen!”
“This is a unique and wonderful shop for local and beautiful home decor and fashion items for purchase. The staff and selections insure you will have an enjoyable experience. Check it out !”
“The Iron Grate is one of the best boutique retail experiences in the Midwest. I drive an hour from Metro Detroit to the store and am rewarded every time by the owners’ exquisite taste and kind, quiet service. Offerings range from French soaps to Ghanaian textiles to a curated selection of timeless clothing and jewelry. The window design in this historic 19th century storefront pulls you into a richly merchandised experience in two floors. The baby clothes, books, gifts are exceptional. It’s possible to buy a small, elegant host gift or a giant load of goods and feel like you’re driving away with a unique seasonal inspiration. Make a trip to marvel at this independent downtown gem. You’ll be glad you did.”
“This place is absolutely amazing.
If you have any craft or craft like project it would be hard not to find what you need at a Hobby Lobby.
In the case of my project, I am envisioning my dream home and building a scale model of it from scrap cardboard. (All those Amazon boxes are finally being put to good use.)
This place has everything I need from 12:1 ratio premade dollhouse furniture to raw pieces of wood to build my own furniture or kitchen cabinets. They have all types of contact paper to represent flooring and wallpaper along with a large selection of fabric that I've been using as carpeting for some of the rooms in my model.
From my experience Hobby Lobby is to crafters what Menards is to the home owner or contractor, it's got basically everything you would need or want and then some.
Be prepared to spend some time in the store as you will be amazed at the sheer quantity and selection you'll have available to you and your project.”
“Where to begin. I was out shopping for a birthday and Xmas. Stopped in Pigeon in the Parlour because I was not finding anything I was looking.
Upon entering I was greeted by three wonderful ladies. They made sure I knew about several things they had in the store and then let me start looking. They were so helpful, yet not pushy. I ended up finding several items and they wrapped and put everything in very nice gift bags, without me asking that it be done.
The prices were very reasonable to me after being in several other stores that day in a few other towns that were really expensive.
The layout of everything made it easy to shop and there are two floors to the business.
I know I would never have gotten this type of personal service at a mall.
There is clothing, purses, soaps, lotions, candles, home decor, jewelry and many more things.
I highly recommend going and taking a look, you will be glad you did. It’s especially nice for men looking for something special for any lady they need a gift for.”
