“Had to give the most recent interaction a full 5 star experience specifically because of how little the worker actually cared about retaining a customer. To think it has been just one year since I left a fantastic review of the same exact employee!! I signed up for a 10X10 unit back in November of 2024 and in that time my rates have experienced two different rate increases. Going up over 30 dollars in price in less than a year. If you value your money and want to be informed of price increases the way that Compass contacts you about everything else, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT sign up to store your valuables at this storage facility. You will be in for a very rude awakening, I hope this helps the good people of the East Lansing area save their hard earned money! (:”

“I rented my unit online but hadn't been able to make it down to the facility yet and I got a courtesy call making sure everything was ok and that I still needed the unit. This was actually a very nice touch because it's been crazy packing and getting everything together.
When I finally got a minute to head down, I got to meet with the manager Steve to get everything set up with my unit. He showed me how to access the building and let me know their hours.
Steve was incredibly helpful and kind. This move has been ridiculously stressful and hasty, but this part has gone very smoothly!”

“Have used Public Storage for many of my moves so I know they carry mattress protectors/boxes/etc. When I got there some of the items I wanted were not in stock, Beth, the manager, was very helpful and offered to check with other PS to get the items for me. Very nice, very helpful.”

“I have had several storage units here over the course a decade. The staff have always been wonderful, however, what I HATE is the arbitrary way they randomly raise prices. NOT COOL. Also, it would be nice if there was some kind of customer loyalty reward for people like me who've had units there for a very long time. In this area CubeSMART is REALLY insufficient.”

“I am currently in town visiting Michigan as I am trying to make a big move soon from Boston. I decided to look at a few storage facilities in the east Lansing area while I am here. I was not very impressed with a few of the other facilities as they did not offer what exactly I was looking for. I walked into the office and the manager treated me with a smile on her face she was with another person so she stated that she would be with me as soon as she can and asked if I would like a bottled water while I waited. When she was finished I told her I am looking to rent a storage unit with in the next few months she asked me a series of questions to better fit my needs. She gave me a tour of the facility and showed me many different options she thought would work best for me. I was very happy with how clean and well taken care of this facility is, I really thought the garage area was a great feature to keep out the nasty weather. I was very happy all around and will be returning to speak with Jayme the manager as soon as I have an exact move in date. Thank you again Jayme!”

“This is a perfect & cheap storage facility for any college student looking at the last minute!! The customer service was amazing, great price with no extra fees, easy to get in and out of the location, and reliable if you're looking for same day storage. IF YOU'RE A MSU STUDENT TRUST THIS PLACE!”
“Mike and the other delivery drivers I interacted with were wonderful. Mike was my driver twice, once to pick up the filled pod and then returning it. He remembered me, my house, when he picked the pod up originally and exactly where I wanted it to go. Their front facing employees, the ones who come to your home, are wonderful, friendly and respectful of your property.
The pod was very clean! Inside and out, sturdy construction with ample places to tie down your items securely (which you should do since items will shift during transportation. The less secure the more they will shift.)
The website and customer service is only 3 Stars at best. Thankfully for them, the humans you engage with in the real world are Amazing.”
“I visited this facility on the 8th of September. There were 2 really pleasant young ladies there. I wrote their names down so I would remember. When you receive great customer service these days, it needs recognition. Kendria, and April were there, both were extremely polite, super helpful, kind, and informative. The facility is clean, well maintained, and the units are priced fairly. I would highly recommend doing business with this company! A1 all around”
“Personally my experience has been quite discouraging and horrible! I have been renting a storage unit for 1 year now I believe, and what prime storage does to show their gratitude for me sticking with them so long is continue to raise my rent what happens is I'll get an email out of nowhere saying my rent has been raised $70 per month I started out at a $60 unit and now I'm up to 120 plus $17 for insurance they provide supposedly. So am I very happy with my rent being raised after being loyal to them probably not. I don't understand if they appreciate somebody's business why they raised their rent right after they move in and continue to do it throughout other than that the two employees I know from the office were amazing people did nothing but try to help we needed it was out of their control the abuse the higher above due to their renters”
“Jim met me on the weekend to rent me a unit, it was a very smooth quick process, he even went and shoveled out in front of the unit for safer access, I couldn't fit it all in, so Jim came back in the evening and did it all again for me. The experience started out great. ?”
“This is a great storage unit rental facility. Mary, the manager, is wonderful to work with. Our unit was very clean when we rented it! She gave great recommendation on the best padlock to use for our unit door. We had a problem with door one time. Called Mary right away and dropped off the padlock key to her. Next day was a holiday but by early afternoon day after holiday Mary called and the door was fixed! Did I mention that Mary is a wonderful lady! The units are cheaper than the other storage unit behind Delta Self Storage! Their are cameras keeping and eye on everything! Very highly recommended Delta Self Storage!!”
“We moved to Michigan from CA and was not able to move into our home. What to do with all our personal belongings?? We were thankful that we rented a 40 ft container from Steel Tough!! After almost 3 years we were able to move into our home. All our belongings were clean (not moldy, mildewed), dry and not dusty. After so long in storage, we thought there could be damage, but as we unpacked the boxes there was NO damage from being in the airtight, clean container. Thank you Steel Tough for a great way to keep our belongings ‘safe’ from the time and the elements!! You were able to deliver the container as soon as we needed it and then picked it up quickly when we were finally done!!! Thanks!!!”

“In November 2024 I paid for my unit at the grand river store but my unit was on Jarco in Holt. Unit was very clean and grounds well taken care of. The women at the grand river store were very professional, knowledgeable and very helpful. I dealt with both Dawn and Amy. Units are well maintained and very reasonably priced compared to other places in town. I’ve had belongings stolen from a unit in Indy that got broken into so I have a hard time trusting just any storage place.
Units are clean, well kept and secure!!!

I no longer need my unit as I have a home now.
I would highly recommend SROA. I’ve rented many storage units and this is the best one I have ever rented from. Their units are clean and secure. The staff that I dealt with ( Amy & Dawn ) are exceptional!! I never had any issues getting in touch with them via phone or email. Very prompt and professional and made the whole process very easy.
