“The hotel is newly renovated and beautiful. It's on a very nice downtown location close to the State theatre which we were able to walk to. Staff was friendly and efficient.”

“Devon the concierge was hands down the nicest, most accommodating employee I have came across in a very long time. I would come back to this hotel solely based on his performance and legitimate care he showed for me and my family! Thank you Devon for everything! We appreciate you very much and hope you get a raise because you deserve it!!”

“Wow, it's a mini apartment!Full kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, dishes, cups, bowls, pots, pans, exhaust fan, Palmolive bottle.I stayed in the king suite. Separate bedroom from living room. 2 TV's. Large chaise lounge sofa.Comfy bed and pillows. Lots of storage options for clothes. Dressers, closets. Full ironing table and iron. Large closet in bathroom.Close to the freeway and tons of shipping and restaurants. Free parking. Friendly service. Helpful.Main downsides: no exhaust in bathroom, and a big gap under the main door (I threw a towel down to cover the gap). Can hear the hallway clearly and your neighbor too.Pool area is far away but good and a nice courtyard.Laundry room for guests with many dryers out of commission and the room was very cold.Bring back bar soap! The Palmolive and Dove liquid soap kept bubbling and don't rinse off completely. Plus they smell strong.”

“We were in town because we had family in the hospital who had been transferred from where he lived an hour away. We were so grateful to find a clean hotel with friendly staff conveniently located near the highway. We were overwhelmed with gratitude when they were flexible with our checkout based on the hospital discharge decision.”

“First off the best value for what you are getting in all of Kalamazoo! I originally booked because I got the most bang for my buck by a mile. King Executive Suite with Jetted Hot Tub In Room. You have to book sooner rather than later because when they renovate the hotel the Hot Tub rooms may go out the back door. ??‍♂️The best run Hotel I’ve stayed at since Covid screwed up the industry. Robert is a gentleman and happens to be the GM. We became fast friends out of both our love of business and constant improvement in every aspect of our lives! The staff here is amazing and the hotel is very well appointed. I will stay here every chance I get the opportunity. I wish I could shout out the entire staff by name. I will say Koko is my favorite front desk agent possibly of all time! She as well as the other 2 ladies in the photo; I apologize and lost my list of your names. ?‍♂️?✅?❤️The two ladies not Koko are wonderfully sweet and kind Breakfast Specialists!Lastly and mostly the Executive Housekeeper is small in stature.Like I believe Theodore Roosevelt said: “Walk Softly and Carry a Big Stick”The young woman that took care of my room for me was everything you want in a co-worker, business partner, and friend. I apologize, like I said earlier I’ve lost my list of names! I also can tell you are a terrific Mother. Appreciate you ALL ?✅Rooms: Extra Clean. Extra Large Hot Tub for the dollars you are spending.Nearby activities: Anything and Everything in my opinion.Safety: Very safe and no Security Guard needed.Walkability: Sidewalks on both sides of road. The world’s best Liquor store is Directly across the street!Food & drinks: Wonderful Snack Bar. I love the Cranberry Grape Juice they sell!Noteworthy details: The value for what you get is unmatched!”

“Horrible heat issues/changed rooms twice! Finally got a room with the heat working right! Probably need to change vents In this facility!!! Good rooms otherwise/good cleaning staff/ok front desk attendees/great restaurant and host was nice and attentive! Issue with mailing out my holiday cards- white girl at front desk had no clue and didn't take envelopes stating they have never taken a customer's mail......the post man comes DAILY! So if they drop off they pick up! We travel monthly and I always mail out cards, leave the cards at the front desk of other hotels with no problem-ALWAYS! She even asked another "manager" and he had no clue and she was telling someone else about they don't have extended stay ppl there to take mail (we stayed 3 weeks) We had to drive to the post office and when we asked their procedure when going to hotels we were told the post man will take the hotel mail and any other mail as long as it has stamps on it which mine did!Nearby activities: Alot of restaurants (stay away from Texas Corral) and many shopping places and grocery stores....right at the highway!”

“My husband and I stayed here from Illinois over the weekend for an out-of-town wedding. Was nervous due to some of the less-than-stellar reviews, but I am a dare devil and decided to live on the edge end take a chance! The hotel shares property with a different hotel, so at first it can be confusing to try to find Comfort inn, but not terrible. If anything just stop at the other hotel and ask for directions. Once on site, I was greeted promptly by one of the women at the front desk. She was friendly and explained the policies and charges on paper. The charges were no different from when I had booked ahead of time. She explained the holding fee for the security deposit that will be reversed once the stat is over - this is pretty standardFor any lodging service. We checked in to our room, and it was clean and had no bed bugs and the temperature in the room is perfect. I was disappointed to find out the computer in their "business center" was not working. I went to take a shower and the water started rising up to my ankles. I did alert the front desk and within minutes, two men came to resolve the issue. They were very friendly and didn't seem bothered to assist. The TV in the room does not work. Not that I care to watch tv, but it's nice to have some background noise when getting ready. I don't want to be "that person" and call them again to fix something, so we will move on. The beds are fine. I have slept in worse, like an IKEA bed and this is definitely much better. Overall, the hotel was quiet. There were a lot of young kiddos here this weekend who were running around screaming but that stopped by 11pm. Breakfast is grab and go, due to Covid. But i think it's really nice that they have anything at all. Overall, I would stay here or somewhere similar again if I needed to for a quick trip/over night. It is half the cost of the surrounding competitors. The people who work here are very friendly and do not mind helping. Do you get what you pay for? Sure. But I don't mind a smaller room and outdated bathroom fixtures for 50% less of a cost than the other guys. Thank you for the accommodations, Comfort Inn.”
