“Such a unique vintage store in Metro Detroit!! I bought a mid century modern coffee table, space age lamp, and a painting by a Detroit based artist. The showroom is packed with quality vintage items from Herman Miller and Knoll. Great curation of fine art too!”

“I had a great experience at Plato’s Closet! The store was clean, organized, and easy to shop. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I found some really cute items at great prices. They have a good selection of trendy clothes and accessories, and the whole process was quick and easy. I’ll definitely be back and would recommend checking them out if you’re looking for affordable fashion!”

“I had a wonderful experience at this boutique. It is very well organized and brings a feeling of a luxury store instead of consignment. I will definitely visit again when I’m in Birmingham.”

“I've been riding my this store for over a year now, and I've always been curious if they had anything that would fit me (6'4 275lbs). Well I wanted a nice shirt and tie for my lady's birthday dinner. Russ was great from the time I walked in the door until the time I walked out with a beautiful shirt and paisley tie that he helped to perfectly match to my lady's dress. Thank you again Russ , and I truly look forward to shopping with you in the future.”

“Favorite resale store. Convenient location in Pontiac on N. Telegraph Road. Check it out every Friday for specials on the tag colors. Only complaint is they use staples to anchor the clothes price tags. Get great bargains on pictures and lamps and more. Bought a wooden chair there years ago for $2.00. Cleaned it up and love it.”

“The Lowry Estate turned me onto the Ferndale Vintage Market, and it led to me going to the store which has such a gorgeous and chic collection of items. I bought 2 fabulous dresses (check the purple dress pictured below), and Corliss was so warm and friendly with an amazing eye. I'd totally recommend coming in to see her or hopefully you can catch her at Eastern Market.”

“I do like this location alot - the staff is always pleasant and helpful ?. I dont find as many high end things here as I do in like Rochester but thats ok there is usually a good selection.”

“I’m shocked there are negative reviews. This has been my favorite store for YEARS!! Girls - find some humility and respect the sole purpose of this kind of business and be grateful we have stores like this.

it’s called “take it or leave it” —SURPRISE- everything isn’t $5. Just because you won’t pay $X doesn’t mean the next person won’t love the item and pay it!!

I appreciate 99% of items are not damaged like you’d find at Salvation Army ( which charges the exact same prices )

I’ve sold items about once a year and never been disappointed!
Customer service is on point, they are hard working and keep Clothes Mentor the premier clothing store I’ve known for years and I love!!!”

“This Salvation Army is actually pretty freaking nice and bigger and had better items to buy then what you normally see at salvation armys it seems like anymore really, this place has better higher quality and better items they are reselling and name brands and gently used items rather then items that look like they been very much used and sometimes even musty like type items and clothing but this place is what all the salvation armys should be like and having!!! 10/10 recommend if your around the area DEFINITELY WORTH CHECKING OUT!! thank you much appreciated keep being better and having better items at resell and name brand gently used items!! Awesome :) much appreciated!! Xoxo”

“I've found some very good things from clothes, shoes, coats and household decor. I normally stop by every Friday for their 5 items for $5.00 depending on the color tag. But 5 for 5 is always good.”

“So the employee Luke makes the experience! I would specifically choose to go to this salvation army specifically because he works there. I only met him today and me and my Girlfriend had a blast shopping and his personality is charismatic and he is super helpful! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ To Luke!”

“A fan of thrift stores! Many recipes require specific pans and specialized kitchen items that I might not use often. I always check Salvation Army. You can find endless treasures save money and support a good cause. Don’t hesitate to donate as well. And btw if you are lucky you may find a great pair of jeans or other item in your size at a great deal. Reuse repurpose recycle.”

“The store was clean, neat, and organized despite there only being one visible worker/cashier there. The cashier was friendly. I found a cool brass candle stick holder and a cute tea cup and saucer set here and polos for work, all reasonably priced. Unfortunately their toddler girls section was limited to only 2 pairs of pants. That was my only disappointment but I work at a different rival thrift store so I know this is not entirely under their control. It all depends on what is donated. I'd come back here again.”
