“Dropped a staff member off then went inside to wrangle some lunch from the deli.What a selection! And considering the size of the place, it's amazing how much they have in there without it looking or being crowded at all.All the alcohol behind the registers is phenomenal. Shelves so high it gives a new meaning to top-shelf. I saw more brands of gin (a favorite) than I've seen outside of a Total Wine.Made my selections & headed to checkout when I heard the staffer tell the cashier to give me the employee discount. “Clean, organized, fair prices that can honestly be a one stop shop. I was in the area and by chance stumbled upon this store on the week of thanksgiving. From fresh sauerkraut, meatballs, stuffed cabbages and "Chinese coleslaw" to frozen polish crepes and pierogis. We bought some Angel wings (fried dough with powdered sugar) in addition to some items I listed. They even have snacks that are way cheaper than Kroger and Meijer and when you got two little black holes hungry every 15 mins, this is a nice stop to find. The fresh items like the slaw and the sauerkraut was not to my liking (too sweet for the slaw), I would still want to return to buy more snacks and instant dill pickle soup for those busy days, try out more of their baked goods (angel wings were delicious), and the frozen pierogis.”

“My experience at Hollywood has, for years, been 99.9% positive. Staff attitude & assistance, selection & quality of brands all “top op the chart”. My only real complaint is with the availability & maintainenance of the electric transport carts, for elderly & handicapped customers. The availability & maintenance of the carts at the Madison Heights store is “borderline acceptable” at best. There are currently only 2 carts available at this store, & both are of questionable reliability. Just this past Sunday, Dec. 3rd. , I was using the only cart in the store with a larger basket, having a larger shopping list to fill. I was two items short of completing my list, when the cart just stopped running. A nearly full charge was showing, but it simply would not move. I’ve had this happen a time or two before, but this time, I was at the back of the store, with a a VERY full cart.As in the past, staff was very helpful in resolving my problem, by getting the only other cart in the store, (a small capacity one), & got most of my order packed into it. This kind of assistance is greatly appreciated but, quite honestly, should not be necessary!! You have a good store, & it would be a smart move to insure that your elderly & handicapped customers are adequately provided for. From other businesses I have observed, it would seem reasonable to have at least 3 large capacity (fully functional) carts available to those of us who need them, at all times. If you place any importance on the elderly & handicapped customers you have, (and you certainly should), please correct this problem as soon as possible.”

“Great store for high quality food needs.I associate this to being like Nino Salvaggios but smaller and easier to shop.Nice fresh produce section. Very good quality in the butcher section. A nice variety of specialty soups, drinks, spices, for all of your dietary restrictions. Nice little cheese section with some attentive staff waiting to assist with suggestions.Staffed registers and self checkout made this an easy and efficient exit.”

“Have been coming here for years and will always return! The owner and workers here are so nice and friendly, always smiling, always willing to help if I have a question or need assistance. They have a great selection of Mediterranean food that they make themselves including hummus, tabbouleh, and garlic sauce. Awesome selection of olives, cheese, and their Turkish coffee is wonderful! It reminds me of the espresso I used to drink when I was younger with my family members. I order their hummus and sliced pasterma all the time during the holidays like today (Thanksgiving) or during Christmas. I have never been disappointed and neither will you! “Myself, my husband & my boyfriend just moved to the area and came across this amazing store. We were all immediately happy walking in seeing the pride flag on display. We were greeted by a really nice tall handsome middle eastern man we think his name is sam. We told him that is three love drinking wine and getting a little handsy, sam bless his heart showed us his great assortment of wines. We were speechless with how clean, stocked and how organized the store was. We loved every min we spent there. Such a great store & sam is just absolutely amazing. “Kroger was actually a great experience everyone especially the staff was great! I was greeted by every associate that was in my path and when I needed help finding something I asked who I thought was an associate but was a vender he said he didn’t know but then later said “it’s over here”along with 2 other associates that work there then there was 3 woman associates that was having a conversation but immediately said “we have company” when me and my wife was walking pass they put us in their conversation and made us feel welcomed. This Krogers even had everything I needed too. I don’t see this very often with black folks and white folks so I have to give this location the highest stars as possible. Thank you Kroger’s I live in Oak Park next to a Krogers but I might have to start going to this particular Krogers for now on.”
