Village Pub
7318 Huron Ave Ste 101, LexingtonI ordered takeout here.
Be aware the menu on the website has changed a bit. Some items were not available when I ordered this past week.
The lady taking my order was so kind and patient, with my questions and decisions, based on what was available. Absolutely a star for this place.
I want to give this establishment five stars. They are doing so many top notch things.
I just feel some of their food items are average at best.
I ordered the Bavarian pretzel. That was amazing. The outside soft crunch, leading into the warm bread, with what seems to be in house made cheese dip. Must order.
I had wanted the BBQ burnt ends. I was told this item was a menu change.
I changed it to the black n bleu tenderloin tips. Another must order. I chose medium rare. The meat was so soft and tender that it essentially melted in your mouth with the cheese. This should be an entree, pair it with asparagus and mashed potatoes.
I tried to order the village minis, pulled pork. I was told that item was no longer on the menu also. Sad.
So, I went with the Angus burgers minis. Eh. I wasn't impressed at all. Just a super average burger. Truly forgettable.
Lastly, I picked up the Philly steak and cheese. It was good. It was nice with rib eye. But, it felt...empty. I had half of it with the other items. Enjoyed it. Came back to the second half at lunch and it just felt like bread and scraps.
Overall, the appetizers to me. Were amazing and worth having every time you go. The other items, I'll never order again.
Side note, as of the review. I went to eat here in person, with friends.
Same thing, appetizers were absolutely gold.
The entrees were nothing special.
I ordered the a poke steak rice bowl, I forget the exact name. The meat in the appetizer was more enjoyable. The rest of the bowl was veggies and rice. I skipped the rice. It was a slumped mess at the bottom of the bowl by the time I got to it.
My friends picked up the Mac and cheese, which looked good. And I believe the Brussels sprouts. Which looked decent, but smells horrible.
To me, this isn't a family dining option. It is a tourist trap bar/restaurant, with some really amazing items worth trying. Just which ones are up to your personal tastes.
Overall, definitely try this place.

Sweetwater Coffee Shop
7300-7336 Huron Ave, LexingtonJane was an amazing bartender. She was so kind and made perfect drinks. The restaurant was very busy due to an Art fair. She tended to us like we were her only customers. The barbeque chicken pizza was delicious. We will definitely visit again, just to see Jane.
