Animal Medical Center of Marquette
3052 Wright St, MarquetteDr. Emily is the most compassionate and attentive veterinarian I’ve had in my 15 years as a pet owner. She provided thoughtful, long-term care for my dog Landon and showed genuine empathy when we ultimately had to say goodbye.
With my two senior dogs, she continues to be supportive, respectful, and honest—never judgmental, never profit-driven. She listens, takes concerns seriously, and focuses on comfort and quality of life.
Transitioning from three dogs to two aging ones has been emotionally difficult, and her care has made it so much easier. I trust her completely and cannot recommend her highly enough.

Marquette Veterinary Clinic
2270 US Hwy 41 South, MarquetteI have been taking my mini Aussie to Marquette Veterinary Clinic for the past eight years and my two year old doodle since she was a puppy.
Dr. Brauer has an incredible ability to diagnose and treat health conditions that other vets have missed. His expertise has been a lifesaver for my dogs, uncovering underlying issues and ensuring they receive the best possible care. He’s also helped manage their seasonal allergies with effective and affordable treatments, which has made a huge difference in their quality of life.
I started bringing my oldest dog there 8 + years ago while I was in college, and the team was always so understanding of my situation as a college student. They worked with me to find affordable ways to care for my dogs without ever compromising the quality of treatment.
Dr. Brauer and his son, Dr Brauer Jr. have an approach to veterinary care that is always honest and compassionate. They never push unnecessary treatments and they are always there when you need them. In emergencies, they have gone above and beyond (countless times) showing up in the middle of the night or even on weekends to help. Their dedication and kindness are unmatched.
I truly couldn’t say better things about this team. If you’re looking for a vet who is knowledgeable, dependable, and truly cares about your pets, this is the place to go!

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Provisions MQT
401 S Lakeshore Blvd, MarquetteBest espresso and roasted beans in town from the kindest coffee people on the lake. Always a genuine concern for their community, asking about you every time you're in. Great gift shopping on the side and frozen to-go things for when you are headed into the back country. If its too hot for coffee then the gelato is worth the trip.

Dead River Coffee Roasters
119 West Baraga Avenue, MarquetteHighly suggest getting the harbor girl coffee ☕! Excellent flavors!

Velodrome Coffee Company
1125 North 3rd Street, MarquetteGreat specialty coffee shop and love how the coffees stay on brand with the speeds related to complexity (roast and flavor notes)! Enjoyed the 10 Speed as a pour over (slow coffee) and the 3 Speed as an Americano. Everyone working there was super friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in town.

Ore Dock Brewing Co.
114 W Spring St, MarquetteGreat set of beers to choose from, a large outside area for the dogs, steps away from a super cool historic courthouse, and a merch game strong enough to embarrass a minor league sports team. Great place.

Drífa Brewing Company
501 S Lake St, MarquetteLove the outdoor beachfront vibes with cozy vignettes of furniture. And fun games to play. We played dominos and had a few flights while my 2 year older enjoyed rocking in the rocking chair.

Teriyaki Bowl
3109 US-41, MarquetteHave been a customer for quite some time. The food is great. To be honest I haven’t tried to too many meals because I can’t get over the spicy basil salmon on rice. It is just so good. Always. I’ve also tried the General’s chicken and it is also really good.
The best part about this place is the service and a wonderful attitude of the employees. Gibson has been my waiter many times. And I feel like I’m in a five star restaurant. He’s very attentive helpful and I couldn’t ask for a better waiter.

My Place Hotel-Marquette, MI
2383 US-41, MarquetteWe had a good visit at My Place. The room was clean and had a kitchenette with full size fridge and freezer to offset no complimentary breakfast. Didn't see a lot of the staff but they were friendly and helpful. We appreciated the dedicated recycling bin, this is the first hotel we've stayed in with recycling available to guests.

Trenary Toast Cafe
153 W Washington St Ste C, MarquetteFun place to visit with lots of jams and souvenirs in the back of the store. I bought a small package of Trenary cinnamon toast to try but unfortunately, it tasted a bit stale. The Brie jalapeno jam sandwich, though, was absolutely delicious - if you take it to go ask for the honey on the side because these are open faced sandwiches so the 2 sides will get soggy if you’re taking out to eat later. We didn't have a chance to try the cinnamon rolls but they looked yummy!

Stucko's Pub & Grill
900 North 3rd Street, MarquetteHmmm.... Is it a really cool local dive or a college hangout? I'm going to have to spend more time here to learn! No problem! Great place. Wonderful atmosphere. I was here on college move in weekend. A mix of golfers (Gotta golf shirts in Marquette!), locals and college kids with their parents. The place was packed for lunch but the wait staff was keeping up. The menu is quite varied from white fish to Michigan Cherry salads. Reasonable prices. I had the whitefish with wild rice. Delicious and nice portions. The beer and mixed drink menu is also great. Enjoyable music. All in all, a very good stop.

Coachlight Restaurant | Breakfast • Lunch
423 West Washington Street, MarquetteBEST HASH BROWNS EVER. Hands down these are perfectly cooked and delicious. I would go and eat them every day if I could.
We have been going to this restaurant for several years and have never had bad food or service.
From the outside it’s hard to gauge what to expect, but that quickly changes when you are seated.
Servers have always been very prompt and friendly and the food is great.
My only complaint is the coffee (although hot and fresh) is overpriced at $5.00 per cup of regular coffee.
We will continue to go to this great little restaurant in the heart of downtown Marquette.
