My family has always trusted the care, compassion, and kindness Dr. Brauer and his staff provide, so when I grew up and had fur babies of my own, there was never a question of where I would take them.
Time and time again, I am reminded how grateful I am to have such an incredible group of people caring for the animals we love so much. Through routine visits and the scary ones, we have always been treated with compassion, kindness, and genuine care.
I am especially thankful to see Dr. Brauer III, following in his father’s footsteps and continuing the same level of excellent, compassionate care I have known from his dad for nearly my entire life. There is something incredibly special about knowing the next generation is carrying on that legacy.
Thank you to both Dr. Brauers and the entire staff at Marquette Veterinary Clinic for taking such wonderful care of our fur babies throughout all these years. Having people you trust with such important members of your family is truly priceless.

Velodrome Coffee Company

We already love Velodrome’s coffee, but their service was absolutely top-notch. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the coffee, and we loved having that perfect end-of-the-night cup after such a long, exciting, and unforgettable day.
What made it even more special was how genuinely excited and happy their team seemed to be to be part of our wedding. They brought such a fun energy to the evening and made the whole experience feel extra personal.

My wife just had a hankering for a grilled cheese, which was delicious. But I grabbed one of the “Smorrebrod” open-faced sandwiches and it was fantastic. So many flavors, and quality ingredients. The staff was commendably friendly and helpful, which is hard to find these days. My wife has a hazardous soy allergy and they went out of their way to check ingredients for her. Nicely done!

The whitefish chowder was rich and flavorful, and the Cajun whitefish sandwich was perfectly seasoned with a great sear; easily one of the best meals I’ve had in the U.P. The beer selection was excellent and paired perfectly with the food.
The atmosphere is classic Marquette; cozy, historic, and full of character. Great food, great beer, great vibe. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!

Visiting for a milestone 40th birthday dinner, the experience delivered on every front—from kitchen rigor to front-of-house execution.
We began with the Red Wine Braised Short Rib Poutine—a dish that easily descends into heavy-handed chaos elsewhere, but here demonstrated exceptional balance. The short rib was rendered to melting tenderness, suspended in a glossy, deeply dark red wine reduction that cut through the rich Wisconsin cheese curds and house-cut fries, topped with a pristine sunny-side egg.
Navigating dietary restrictions can often neuter a kitchen's artistic vision, yet their floor staff and culinary brigade handled our gluten-free requirements with absolute confidence and zero friction. The salad course offered impressive textural contrast; the acidity of pickled blueberries in the beet salad beautifully balanced the creamy goat cheese and hazelnut earthiness.
The main courses solidified their level of technical skill:
The Steak Frites: Dry-brining yielded a deeply caramelized crust and proper moisture retention on the sirloin, while the brightness of the chimichurri sliced cleanly through the beef’s richness.
The Atlantic Salmon: The skin was seared to a delicate glass-like crisp, resting atop a bright, vibrant pea puree and finished with a classic, perfectly emulsified beurre blanc that enhanced without overpowering the fish.
The Delft Bistro manages to strip away the pretense often associated with high-caliber cooking while retaining the absolute discipline required to achieve it. An exceptional 10/10 dining experience in the 906.
